I linked Google to open when I enter my Firefox browser and I want to delete Google and learn Firefox but I can’t get out of Google. How do I unlink it. From where ?

Facebook no longer works in Firefox. The feed just dropped all entrys and nothing come in. If I post is disappears from the main feed but is on my personal feed. HELP.

""What happened:"" Yesterday I updated Firefox to 151 and noticed a "Profile" feature for the first time. I created a new profile, then saw a small icon with the Firefox icon that bothered me and realized it belonged to the new profile. I thought that the newly created profile is safe to delete and has to data within, so I deleted it. After that, Firefox deleted all old data and created another new profile and I lost old bookmarks, passwords, and browsing history.

Note: no warning was showed before deleting the profile.

What I tried: 1. Checked about:profiles profiles: no old data. 2. Opened the profiles folder in C:\Users\[my account]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles: no old data found. I noticed one of the default profiles contains a places.sqlite file that’s about 2 years old: no old data, only default bookmarks are there. 3. Used Recuva to try to recover files — I recovered key4.db, login.db, and places.sqlite-shm but nothing useful so far. Environment/details: • Firefox version: 151 • OS: Windows 11 • No Firefox account Questions: • Is there any way to restore the old profile data from the files I recovered (key4.db, logins.json/login.db, places.sqlite-shm)? • Any other recovery steps I should try? • how to prevent the same thing in the future? Not sure if it's a feature or a bug, but I noticed that if I 'save and close' a tab group containing an 'empty' tab, i.e. the about:newtab page, the tab does not get restored when the group is opened again. Before I was using tab groups, I often used these empty tabs as a crude method of separating bunches of tabs from each other. I have some large tab groups, open on the tab bar, that still contain these, as I have never closed them since they were created. (They're just collapsed.) I was planning on closing them sometime, after I'd next reviewed their contents, but now I'm not too keen on that! So, just wondering, is this empty tab deletion a bug or a feature? If the latter, what's the rationale?

I find there are more and more websites I cannot connect to. I tried to watch a Youtube video from a link in one of my emails and this is what I receive: Looks like there’s a problem with this site

When I click on the "sign in or create account" link nothing happens.

These are only 2 things I'm having problems with there have been other websites.

Some few weeks ago (2-3), when trying to access my online banking account, the time from Login to access went from 10 seconds to a minute or more. I've tried everything I know to deal with it, including calling Tech Support at my bank. Nothing. I suspected AdBlocker+ but that is not it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to no avail. I've cleared history. Nothing. The only thing that works consistently is to access my online banking site using Chrome. How sad is that? Chrome performs exactly like Firefox did up until a few weeks ago. I also am having the same problem trying to access a municipal online records account. When I try that site with Chrome it flows immediately from Login to access. I can only assume something has changed in Firefox in a recent update. I may try to go back to an earlier version to see if that helps.

Running this on a Windows 11 desktop machine. There were no changes made to either my computer or the Firefox settings prior to the onset of this issue.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

FireFox Browser messed up my Internet Download Manager and made it impossible to copy and paste from MS WORD to my emails. Once I uninstalled IDM, I was able to copy and paste. I could not even open a picture in another TAB as before. So the browser was updated and messed everything up. I tried the MS EDGE browser, and it functioned like FireFox browser use to as of today.

For the last ~6 months, my Firefox Windows build has been stuck connecting to numerous websites. Whether I enable auto-detect proxy settings or no proxy settings at all, the same result happens. The websites hang and do not resolve. Occasionally, some of the new Firefox releases have improved this, but then they revert to not working. I'm about to give up on this platform and switch entirely to Chrome which never has this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this? How if at all have you been able to fix it?

I use the current version of Firefox on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux. When I scroll down past the individual bookmarks at the end of the menu, the folder names start repeating, along with the bookmarks inside them. I have three or four sets of bookmarks and would like to have only one. How can I delete all the bookmark folders below a certain point? By the way, when I install a new, different version of the operating system and sign in Sync restores all the bookmarks.

I'm not sure if it's Firefox's VPN or the most recent Windows ESU or a combination of the two, but really weird things are happening when I reboot my system and it tries to enter windows via my local account.

I checked AI and it said yes it is highly probable that the combination of Windows ESU and the newly added Firefox VPN is causing your system to act weird. Recent Windows updates have been known to cause conflicts with VPN software, leading to network issues and system stability. I've turned off the VPN in Firefox and the VPN setting in Windows VPN Advanced Options today. I did notice my system appears to struggle when it hits the McAfee program when trying to load the Windows Desktop Screen.

How do you deal with this. Every time I open mail on Yahoo now after Win 10 and Monzilla updates this shows up. Secure Connection Failed
