This is affecting my computer using ANY version of firefox all the way down to v2.1 (the earliest release I've tested.). The tabs and buttons are gigantic and I can't figure out why. This is with the default theme, default add-ons, and default extentions. I've uninstalled firefox, removed all mozilla/mozilla.org/mozzilla-addons registery keys and rebooted and reinstalled. No matter how many times I do this no matter what version of firefox I install it does this. This is the only program affected so I don't believe it is an issue with my PC. IE7/Opera/Chrome/Safari are all working wonderfully but I prefer Firefox for my default browser. Yes, I have a custom shell for my Windows XP but I have disabled it and replaced the original shell and it's still having the issue. Can anyone help me out?

Screenshots from FF4B1 (but remember, it's affecting any installed version). http://i28.tinypic.com/t7lw13.png http://i28.tinypic.com/4l1xqe.png http://i31.tinypic.com/2ceiw48.png

Whenever the new "Firefox" drop-down menu is enabled (i.e. "Menu Bar" is disabled under View -> Toolbars -> Menu Bar), the title bar (the area of the window adjacent to the "Firefox" button and the minimize/maximize/close buttons) blinks every so often, seemingly randomly, usually a couple of times per minute. Note that when Menu Bar is enabled, no blinking occurs. This doesn't appear to affect performance, but it is pretty annoying. I'm running Windows 7 and I have the transparency options enabled.

On Firefox beta startup I get a javascript error before the browser opens: what happened:TypeError: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1'] is undefined. The browser pane then remains empty until manual refresh.

Every time starting Firefox beta (4.0b1) I get a javascript application popup error saying "what happened:TypeError: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1'] is undefined" before the browser opens. Clicking OK closes popup, browser opens to empty page (incorrect). Browser refresh reveals expected content.

In Firefox 4.0 beta 1, cannot drag a favicon to the bookmarks toolbar, then open "Properties" and clear the "Name" text so that only the favicon is displayed--it defaults to favicon + web address. This trick allowed me to fit in more favicons on the toolbar in previous versions of Firefox.

I navigate to Gmail in FF 3.6.8 or 4.0 and log in. The site begins to load but after about 3 seconds it crashes the browser. The crash appears to be tied to the calendar sidebar widget loading, but that may just be a coincidence of the timing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.6.8. That didn't help.

I loaded Firefox in safe mode, disabled / uninstalled all the plug-ins and that didn't help.

So I installed 4.0 to see if that would fix it and it hasn't.

I am on a Dell XPS 1530 with Windows Vista.

I'd like set firefox to download directly to the file without saving downloaded part to Temp folder.

e.g.: I'm downloading file ubuntu-10.04-i386.iso, firefox makes 2 files in selected download folder ubuntu-10.04-i386.iso and ubuntu-10.04-i386.iso.part. Earlier when firefox downloaded file saved downloaded part to file ubuntu-10.04-i386.iso.part but nowadays it saves downloaded part to some Temp folder on System partition. Thanks for support

I remember that I used to be prompted when closing FireFox with active downloads. Not all sites support auto-resume and I frequently find myself needing to restart many downloads. If I recall, there is a setting in about:config you can change so when there are active downloads and you exit FireFox, there is a prompt reminding you there are active downloads and to confirm exiting. I'm just looking for that preference setting.
