I really appreciate the container tab option for my browsing, as it affords me more privacy and I am a stickler about my privacy. However- I have been having an issue with links that I am attempting to open in a specific container that will load, and then immediately reload into the tab without a container. This has happened several times. The most recent example is that I clicked on a link from FB, a site I tend to avoid, and specified that I want it opened in a FB tab, as I don't trust them not to track me beyond that. However, the link loaded in the FB tab and immediately again with no container whatsoever. There was no request, no warning that I had set up the "multi-account container" and did I want to use it in the designated container... nothing. This has happened with links before as well.

My system recently slowed considerably. When I checked what was happening, I found there were up to 14 Firefox 'windows' showing in my Task Manager, and collectively these 'windows' were consuming over 25% of the computer memory (650+MB) even with Firefox just opened as the initial browser screen; no addresses etc had yet to be added. I've followed many of the troubleshooting suggestions, but to no avail. I have not reset the browser as yet as I need to understand the root of the problem

New Firefox is making me angry everytime I use it. New tabs are doing what they want, they never open near the site that i'm watching. Sometimes they open in the middle of other tabs, sometimes at the end. That is so problematic and frustrating that i would download an opera if i can't change it. I use about 90 tabs and that's the way I'm using Internet, I won't change it. I have searched in settings but there is nothing. Old mozilla haven't done this. Can someone help me?

Just today a web based TV show has stopped playing, the circle spins for a moment (as if it was loading) the circle then just vanishes and nothing plays.

I am running Win 11, I have successfully had the video play in Edge and Brave.

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

This happens now a lot, sometimes I can uninstall Firefox reinstall and it works. That worked this time but only for a few days. I am back once again to where I get this error on every place I visit. I have cleared my cache etc.. uninstalled reinstalled did a restore. It is only Firefox all other browsers work fine. No idea what to do anymore and am sad because I prefer Firefox. I only have standard windows 11 home security stuff installed so nothing special or fancy firewalls. Tried turning on default fire wall. Tried all the instructions on the more info page the error screen leads to.

Smaller adblocker ultimate advertising icon appears on most screens. It's annoying and typically in the way. I tried adblocker once but disabled it months ago and removed it today. The ad for adblocker ultimate still appears in the lower corner of most pages. The icon and the Expanded flag is (opened) are both attached below.

Firefox used to open the bookmarks to the left showing all the bookmarks, ever since that last update not the go right and aren't even the bookmarks I want, how do I change it back

I used to be able to access my Wells Fargo account using Firefox (as recently as last Thursday Jan 11,2024). Now when I try to access the account, Wells Fargo no longer recognizes my sign-in information. The Wells Fargo internet customer service person I spoke to said I was the second customer within the last few days with a similar problem with Firefox. Both Chrome and Edge are not having similar problems. I have the latest version of Firefox, so possibly Wells Fargo changed something. I do not want to use Chrome or Edge because of the hundreds of trackers they allow. Does anybody have any ideas? How does Firefox check on the compatibility of Firefox with websites? Thank you. I was in a meeting and needed to show my screen. Clicked the button at bottom to share and schecked entire screen then allow....it said firefox wouldn't allow me to share because of firefox. I also tried to just share Acrobat and had same result. What setting or plugin do I need to set to allow screen sharing in Google meet, microsoft team and zoom meetings?

I imported my bookmarks, but they're not displaying in the bookmarks toolbar. I've tried hiding it and unhiding and restarting the program/my computer. The imported bookmarks can be seen when I go to "recent bookmarks" in the manage your bookmarks section. It also says that they're listed in the bookmarks menu, but they're not visible outside of the manage bookmarks settings window.

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

If I go to a website it creates a shortcut on my browser page each time. I only want to have the pages I use a lot on there. Is there some way of stopping each site from being added?

Just to report Firefox 121.0.1 (64-bit) unable to upload any video formats on youtube and always having invalid video format error. I'm unable to upload even that videos what was already successfully uploaded some times ago. I using Microsoft Edge now to upload on youtube and it is fine with all my videos. Hope you can fix soon.

When you add a page to your bookmarks a window appears that asks for a name and which folder you want to save it on. By default it recommends you a folder but there is a button to "un-hide" your full folders list. Is there a way to make this the default? As in, i dont have to click "un-hide" everytime (...because firefox never picks the folder i want)

I wish to remove the ugly looking line between my custom home button and the first tab. You can find that on the top left. I already have userChrome.css set up and I found no help on the r/FirefoxCSS subreddit.

For anyone who can be of EXTRA help, I wish to also fully round the search bar in my "about:home" which you can see is underneath the FireFox logo. I want to add my own custom border radius of "2em" and remove the blue outline when selected.

WSJ opinion pages won't load fully on Firefox. The same webpage works on other browsers. This has been a recurring issue ever since I switched over to Firefox. It's the main reason why I still keep Google Chrome around.

I've tried updating to the newest version of Firefox and also iOS. Also, clearing my cache/cookies works sometimes but the problem keeps coming back.

Every time I open FF it tries to download a file I previously downloaded. Even if I do it again, it won't stop it. How do I delete this queued action?

I think I found it - Settings/More tools/Task manager

Nope, that didn't work. I keeps putting it back into the tasks.
