I had a Firefox account I had my gmail jmcgarigal@gmail.com in a container on firefox. I would like this all back as was.

Hello, I've been getting this press and hold authentication the last several months I press and hold then release when the check mark shows, and it still won't let me into the webpages. Happens sporadically, real estate, walmart, and some others. Attached is a sample.

Can you tell me how I can stop it?

I clicked on the Wellnee link and their site is rigged to extort money! I chose the product (advertised as a discount), entered my bank details then instead of buying the product, I'm sent to a page where aside from just leaving the page, I find that i have to order 3 more of the same product, if I want to get the discount, so I exited the page, only to find that not only had I been charged for the original (without the discount!) but an additional charge had been taken!!!

Then I get a text message saying they couldn't connect to my email, so everything is done through texts (they had my email). When I went to their site they use a fake US phone number; there's no email, only a form (does it work?)

Suddenly I have a South African Facebook occupying my fire fox log in. It won't let me go into my account. When I use Safari on the same Macbook I can get access, so somehow it was become fixed to my fire fox browser. How can I get rid of this South African Facebook block or should I just remove firefox as my long time browser. I've done all the cookie deletes and regular stuff. I'd appreciate some professional help. Regards, Jim

Firefox won't allow other websites to correct my spelling. This is a big deal and I will have to go back to safari if there isn't a fix. I am using a new computer and new firefox download. Can u help?

I've seen similar reports of this in the past. But I believe my case is different.

I had to reset a password tonight, requiring me to re-login to the account in Firefox. But, the tab/window would just freeze. I don't see anything immediately being blocked (ie: any DNS filter etc).

But, I CAN get it to work in Debugging mode, which suggests either there is an extension that is blocking it, or something else (some variable that is otherwise active in regular running Firefox). I just don't know which.

Has anyone else reported this and what might be the issue? I suspect uBlockOrigin (one), which I do use. But the other extensions I use are just for Youtube, IG, etc.

Since changing profiles, which I regret immensely has created a problem when I want to completely clear all history despite choosing the correct settings under privacy and settings. The only box checked the does not clear is the temporary cache files and pages. Even in the menu bar under history and I choose history and clear all history it does not function. I have to manually uncheck the box and check it again and enter clear. This is frustrating, because this has never happened before. FYI, I do not use the AI feature.

I set up Claude to use as my AI assistant in the Firefox sidebar. But, I made a mistake and signed in with my personal email and not my work email (which is attached to a paid Claude account). I cannot find an option to sign out of Claude and then sign back in with a different account. How is this to be done?

Can you help providing a sync from the last 30days. Using a backup computer as my current computer is being repaired and bookmarks/passwords will no sync on this machine

Often after restarting firefox 148.0 … … 

… … for whatever reason, it comes up "clean".   Despite asking for tabs to be restored, they often are not.

I have about 7 tabs that I have pinned (i.e., gmail, penzu, contacts, etc).

Is there a way to have this happen automagically when started?

Doesn't seem obvious to me.

Hi folks, I restarted Firefox today on my Macbook and now the Restore Previous Session option is no longer working. I've tried the Sessionstore fix described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup but it is not doing the trick. I've used it multiple times in the past and it has always worked up until now.

I've since opened a couple of new tabs and then shut Firefox down to see if the Restore Previous Session will bring those particular tabs back. However the Restore previous session remains greyed out. I suspect it may be to do with the latest update to 149.0.2. I downloaded and installed that two days ago, but only restarted this morning so I think the update would have been done then. Are there known issues with this update, and is a fix coming? My computer is running very slowly since I updated my Mac with Sequoia OS. I use Firefox . I have ATT/Yahoo mail service. Could it be related to Norton? What is the fix? What is the best high security search engine home page to use on my mac with Sequoia OS?

Firefox doesn't respond after attempts to sign on to GMAIL or Amazon (both with passkey option). I have to force quit from Apple Mac main menu. I am using LastPass.

when I click a url link from mail it opens a new firefox window instead of a new tab on existing window. I like to keep all tabs in one open firefox window. Firefox crashed last night and lost all of my tabs; I was able to restore but now having issues with email url links opening in a stand-alone new window - HOW do I revert to former option?
