I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Hi. Strange request I know because Firefox is working perfectly but Google has failed me.

We have a printer/copier in our small club. The IP address assigned is 192.168.1.125. Typing this into a browser should bring up the copier admin dashboard.

When I do this using Firefox everything works fine, BUT when I use any other browser such as Chrome, Edge or Opera I get the "Cannot connect" "Error connecting" etc message.

I removed Bitdefender antivirus and disabled Windows Defender but it's still the same.

Any network people who can point me in the right place as to where to look or report to the correct forum.

I cannot remove "Your browser is being managed by your organisation" and seems to be stopping the home settings saving. They simply revert back to the default (see image) when I restart Firefox. Not sure what is meant by "your organisation" as I am a personal user, not organisation. I'm the single user of the browser (e.g. just one user on my PC, which is me) and also Admisitrator. Can someone help me remove this. Thanks John

I'm using the 'Simple Tab Groups' add-on on my Mac computer and am happy with it but I have one question. When I click on a web link in an email (I use the native Apple Mail), it of course takes me to my default browser which is Firefox, and then within Firefox to the simple tab group that I had open in Firefox before clicking the link. Logically I guess that's reasonable behavior but typically that's not necessarily what I want; I'd rather it open the web page in my 'main' tab group.

Is there a configuration option to say: "When clicking on a web link in an email, open to this xxxxxx default tab group"?

i recently lost some data i want to get back, and this may be my last attempt, but is it by any chance stored here? and if it is, how do i transfer it back to my regular cache/cookies/data/bookmark folders

Some years ago I had to replace my PC and thought - Wonderful - just use sync to bring back all my tabs etc into the new PC...

The long and the short of it (in the past), was that Firefox decided that the new PC was the one to be synchronising source, and promptly removed all the apps/tabs etc. so sync was in line with the new PC - erasing all the app data. I understand there is no 'Master' sync account.

The question is, how can I stop Firefox initially migrating the Firefox app data in the wrong direction? I know that the app/tab data is currently still correct as my laptop still has all my apps etc. Is there some way to stop Firefox thinking the latest clean browser on the new PC has the correct (None) apps etc? Has the laptop to be logged-in and currently on-line before starting the new PC with Firefox? Is there a process to follow with a new 'un-synced' PC?

Sorry if I'm making things sound difficult, but don't want to loose everything which is currently correct and still these within sync data. It's maybe something that can't happen in these later versions of Firefox, but I want to be sure before logging in my new 'Blank' PC.

Firefox isn't having a memory leak (RAM and CPU usage stays the same) nor is it maxing my GPU or anything like that. But if I watch enough of a 1080p60fps stream or enough 1080p60fps content in general (this stream is a notable offender: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6OOnrx8g58), it'll start to slow down over time (generally a couple of hours) and [really chug and drop frames like its nobody's business: https://i.imgur.com/OmHqJ8a.png. This does not occur in Edge (the streams run silky smooth even after 2+ straight hours of watching), nor does it happen on other streaming sites like Twitch. It also doesn't happen in Firefox on my desktop.

Regular 1080p60fps videos are MOSTLY unaffected. The buffer wheel animation in most videos is choppy and moving back/forth with the 5-sec rewind/ff feature results in a short, choppy buffer wheel on a lot of videos(https://imgur.com/tm1AtkB), even if the video itself is mostly unaffected. Some more "intense" videos will make the fan speed go up. HD videos are *slightly* less smooth when in this state. Unpausing a video often results in a short buffer wheel before the video resumes if left paused for at least a minute or so. I also get a tiny TINY bit of frameskip on the occasional Twitter video while in this "state".

Its like the memory is "caching" something and killing the process clears that "cache", yet I have no idea what is actually doing this.

Refreshing the page/closing and reopening the stream stream has no effect, its like an affliction and will still be choppy when you reload. Restarting the Firefox session or killing the process the stream or a video is running through fixes it for awhile (even if the stream stilll drops more frames overall than it would in Edge), but it feels like I have an "allowance" of 1080p60fps content before these streams start to chug. Nothing else in-browser is lagging at all.

Hello, I'm using samsung odyssey g7 32' monitor connected to my laptop with a rtx 2060. The monitor is connected with a minidisplay port to display port cable. The problem doesn't occur on the laptop screen but it does on the samsung screen. The flickering stops when i make the window a little smaller. I am using KDE plasma 6.0.3 but the problem was also present when i was using Hyprland as my desktop enviroment. I tried troubleshoot mode but nothing changed. I am seeking help. Thanks.

I have recently had a Computer Crash and have set up a new Computer. However, I cannot find a way to synchronize my old Bookmarks. Part of the Problem probably is that when the Syncing was originally set up, I was using a different User Name [e-Mail Address] to that I am using now. I have been using Firefox since 2006; and have an old Sync Key dating from some time in 2014; but cannot find a way to enter it into the current Firefox Settings. How do I recover my Bookmarks?

I can't sign into my TracFone account on FireFox or FireFox Private Window. But I "can" sign on in Chrome. Is there someway to fix this as FireFox is my main default browser.

When I watch a video not in the full screen mod, the colors are as dark as they're supposed to be (pic 1), but when I enter the full screen mod, the video gets pale/brigher (pic2, compare the dark zones). it's fully connected with hardware acceleration. When it's on videos get pale and when it's off they don't. But I can't turn it off because I also need it for an addon I use as it won't work without it. Someone on the forum here said that turning on layers.force-active might help with a bug of hardware acceleration. I turned it on and it helped - acceleration was on and videos didn't get pale, but then everything got back and now this setting doesn't work anymore. I also opened trouble shooting mode and videos didn't get pale with it even with acceleration on, but I don't know why, becaues when I closed it I deleted all the extensions, turned on acceleration and videos got pale again. And, this problem is only in this browser. This problem really keeps my up at night and I'm so tired of it

When attempting to load a number of different web pages such as Quickbooks Online Apps, the page displays "Loading Apps..." with a spinning wheel, but never redirects to the Apps page; the site hangs forever. On other browsers there are no issues; it eventually switches to the correct page. In Firefox Browser I have tried adding exceptions in Settings --> Privacy & Security --> Manage Exceptions. No change. Thoughts?

For some time now, I've been experiencing the following issues with PiP:

• The floating window opens in a random (and annoying) place and does not place itself automatically on the lower right corner as it used to (where I always move it, so it has no memory as it used to)
• It's impossible to keep the "always on top" mode on by default, and I have to do it every single time
• When I toggle windows, the PiP window is always the next one, even when it was not the one I switched from, and I have to always toggle twice for switching between two windows when I have a 3rd PiP window
• When I change language using the keyboard shortcut, it changes the language on the PiP window, and I have to use the language icon bar. Then, the PiP window becomes activated, and I have to toggle back to the window I was working on before (on which I wanted to change language). I have the "separate languages for separate windows" option activated.

It's been some months now, and all those things were working before an update but never came back...

Does anyone know if there's a way of fixing these issues? I've tried things I found online but nothing seems to work.
