Firefox makes an extra blank page when I click on any link the first time after opening the browser. It does not make an extra page with subsequent clicks on links. What is the fix for this?

I have two Outlook accounts registered & one set as default. But, when I tried to setup my default in settings, Apps, default apps, email it only offers me Outlook.com (instead of my default choice) so automatically always selects the mail account I do not want! It used to work OK for years until I had a recent SSD failure & hence I need to reset it correctly. Your help page doesn't seem to tell me how to select the specific mail account I want (i.e. when you have more than one)? Please therefore tell me how to do that & also change your help notes accordingly.

While using Firefox all of my non-pinned tabs disappeared suddenly. The History -> Recently Closed Tabs item in the menu was greyed out. How can I get these tabs back? I have not closed the browser yet.

Firefox has assigned my .cpp files as type "Git", but .cpp files should be type "Visual Studio 2019". How do I change the type "Git" to "Visual Studio 2019" for .cpp files, so when I want to save or open a .cpp file the Firefox Applications matrix assigns .cpp files to Visual Studio 2019?

1) Cannot restore them even after logging into account with same email address. 2) Windows.old does not exist. 3) Tried %APPDATA% method to use "Gibberish".default folder for profile recovery. (Might need some guidance here but overall it did not work too.

Firefox was always logged in with same email account and it should've synced all the data.

After a new installation of Firefox I tried to install Add-On. For all Add-Ons I tried it fails with the message as in the picture attached. When I install it on other computer where I also have Firefox no problem occurs. The picture shows the AdBlocker add-on, which is widely used and to my opinion cannot be corrupted. The error-message is in Dutch and my English translation would be: "Installation is cancelled because the Add-On seems to be corrupted".

Do have a solution/explanation?

Not able to recover my yahoo account that has been in use for over 10 years! Very sensitive files and emails are locked in there, mostly Patients records!! Yahoo wants driver license and credit card # first to solve the problem. I have tried everything. It used to be easy to recuperate a forgotten Password or user name to sign in. Is this legal what they are doing? They say one can get help free on line, but they always use---Invalid entrance and direct you again to this paid service only if you give them driverlicense and credit Card. Is there a way to get some help? Please!!!

how do i stop firefox opening my pdf files. i have set adobe as my default yet it still keeps using firefox. I have also changed the settings in adobe, without success. I will stop using firefox if this cannot be fixed. it drive me nuts

Both my computer and my tablet are logged into my Firefox account, the page at accounts.firefox.com lists both devices, yet for some reason they won't sync. I've synced two mobile devices before, and it worked fine. I've spent a good portion of today trying to figure it out, and have gone half mad from frustration. Please can you help me? Thank you!

I recently installed Firefox 102.0.1 64-bit on a new WinX laptop. Using the same link as always (http://www.henderson.lib.nc.us/) I am unable to connect with my county library. I'm not having trouble with other sites. The error message says

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.hendersoncountync.gov. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I turned off HTTPS-Only Mode but the problem persisted. I also tried entering this site as an exception for HTTPS-Only but that didn't help. Even after restarting the computer, Firefox continues to reset the URL to HTTPS from HTTP. My wife was able to access this website on her desktop WinX with Firefox and no problem. On my WinX desktop with Firefox I connected to https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/library instantly.

Is the HTTPS-Only Mode sticky? What am I missing?

I understand that the following is necessary as described in the FAQ. I lost my two-step authentication device, can’t find my backup authentication codes and don’t have a logged-in device. Can I request to delete my Firefox Account?

Is it possible to remove the backup account related to such a locked-out account to allow that account to be associated with the new account created?

Note that the Authy locked account has been abandoned on Firefox for a long time. Not certain if there is a limit time-frame of no account access after which the account may be declared abandoned and may therefore have the backup account unlocked for a new account association to the backup account.

I am trying to use Rakuten when I shop. I am on the merchant site, then click on the Rakuten button for the cash back trip #. I am taken to the Rakuten site for the trip #, then it says I will be taken back to the merchant site to continue my shopping. However, I do not get taken back to the merchant site, I always get a page that says page not found. Someone told me to disable the firewalls. I am 71 and do not have a clue on how to do that or what. I need some help. I only use Mozilla Firefox and do not want to use any other browser.

I want to switch off (cancel) password save for one website. I have followed the recommended procedure and re-started Firefox, but it still saves the password after I do that. This is one set of instructions I tried following, without success:

In the past (loooong time ago) I used an extension to password protect my browser, had multiple profiles and for each you could only enter with a password, since that is no longer avaiable we still have the "Master Password" that would be great too if there wasn't the "cancel" option, you see, when the prompt appears you can't click anywhere else, tabs, bookmarks, nothing, so if there was a way to remove the "Cancel" option from the prompt that would be a great measure for security, is there any way to remove it from the code or something?

I have a web application which runs perfectly on firefox versions below 103. Meanwhile, I had to change my laptop and I installed latest firefox version on my new laptop. I have a login page in my web application which isn't working in the latest firefox version. But, the application works perfectly even now in the older versions below 103. What might be the reason?

The New York Times is only partially loading with white space on the bottom. The same with article links. The ad blocker is off. I deleted the cookies. This just started happening a few days ago. Can go back from article to home page either. Other sites are working. NY Times works on Chrome.

I've tried googling around and haven't found any solutions although I've seen this question asked multiple times.

When I start typing words into my Firefox address bar I usually see some suggestions. I'd like to delete *specific* suggestions from there. When I'm sharing my screen I don't need my business contacts seeing certain embarrassing search terms. How do I do this?

To be clear, I don't want to turn off *all* suggestions. I don't want to delete my history. I don't want any of that. I just want to delete specific ones. In Chrome when this happens I simply hover over the specific suggestion and click X. It baffles me why Firefox didn't make it that simple as well.

I updated to version 102 and found that all my passwords/logins have disappeared with that. I'm always connected with my account which is active on various devices.
