Can you recommend some kind of extension thet will only check current icons for the bookmarks? Just that. I don't need duplicate bookmarks checker, inactice checker and God knows what else checker. Just icons, that's good enough for me.

When I went to start firefox today on my MS Windows computer, I got a file error message saying pathway was corrupted (or something like that) and then the firefox app disappeared from my pinned toolbar. When I went and reinstalled it, all of my saved bookmarks and passwords were gone. How do I get them back?

The latest updated to Firefox for Mac (125.0.2) has completely scrambled accessing my bookmarks. Before the update I could type T in the search bar and up popped the URL for The Globe and Mail; or N and the URL for the New York Times popped up. (This works because no other bookmark begins with these letters.) Both are in my Toolbar (no bookmarks have actually changed or disappeared with the update). Now when I type T, a completely different URL turns up, plus a drop-down menu of other URLs randomly selected from any of my bookmark lists IN WHICH A T APPEARS ANYWHERE in it; and when I type N, a website I've NEVER EVEN SEEN BEFORE (name.com) shows up, plus a drop-down menu with URLs from my bookmarks that contain an N anywhere in the URL. Why is this happening, and how to fix it? Please don't tell me I have to switch back to Safari.

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. Is it possible to import bookmarks for a different Mozilla account. Apparently I have 2 different Mozilla accounts. I had been using (I'll call it account #1) for quite a while, and recently subscribed to Mozilla VPN service. When I subscribed i gave it login info for "Account #2". How can I keep the logon info for the VPN, and get my bookmarks imported from the old (routinely used account #1) ? Or, can I change the VPN service to the old account (account #1)? I know how to add another device to the VPN account, but the "accounts" are on the same "device".

My book mark it was very old and using since 8 years almost as i remember.

Good morning, I have a problem with disappearing bookmarks, but I can organise the backup of the places.sqlite, but I assume that won´t be enough to recover, therefore my question is, which files would be needed or is the one mentioned sufficient?

I followed instructions for adding bookmarks from html file. Got to "import from html" . I can see the html file I want to access, but when I push "open" nothing happens.

I've just noticed a "Tree Of Tabs" option. I right-clicked a dozen tabs, hit Bookmark This Tree. The webpages disappeared. Now I can't find them, and they're not listed anywhere in history or recently closed tabs.

As of an hour ago suddenly all of the usual suggestions and autofill with bookmarks in my address bar are wrong and out of order. I didn't close out of or update Firefox, I was just browsing online. I didn't change anything in my settings or have opened that up in days at the minimum. I cannot figure out how to either revert back or tell Firefox to not show me these choices so I can get my old ones.

I'll give an example: When I typed in "ma" it would show me mangadex.com, which I often go to. Now when I do it not only is 5th on the list it shows up and fills in "https://www.manticgames.com/", which I don't have that specific page bookmarked. I have "https://www.manticgames.com/games/kings-of-war/" bookmarked, but not that homepage. But now all of a sudden it is showing me the homepage of that site when I begin to type in "ma".

This is incredibly irritating and I have no idea why it's doing this at me out of nowhere. I don't want about anything showing up besides my bookmarks and specifically only the pages I bookmarked.

This morning, I was unable to log into Discord to watch a livestream because my hard drive was overfull and it was unable to install a mandatory update. Because this was a time sensitive issue, I wiped a bunch of crap off my drive as fast as I could, and I guess somehow I deleted my browser bookmarks because the field now shows as empty when I open Firefox. I was able to track down the backup file, but it throws an error when I tell it to restore. Is there anything I can do about this?

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks
