I've been seeing suspicious .htm files appear in "downloads" when I hadn't requested any downloads. When I try to open the file, it always appears blank. Once I rebooted without deleting the file, and my system acted like it had a virus. I rebooted in Safe Mode and reverted to a restore point, then everything was fine. But I'm still seeing those suspicious files appearing, at least once per day. How do I stop them?

I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. I downloaded a large filed in my Firefox Browser and it took me 2 days to download the file but when it's almost done, it suddenly failed download. Can you help me resume the download? I think it stopped around 60 gig.

I am looking for suggestions/work flows for migrating existing Mac's from the standard firefox release to the ESR version. I am looking to manage these all under 1 update cycle. A couple of current problems:

1. On a system with the standard version already installed, I can't find a way to upgrade to the ESR version without uninstalling first.
2. Once I would do an uninstall and then an install of the new version, I am prompted that I have launched an older version of Firefox and that I must create a new profile. How can I do this without loosing all users bookmarks, extensions, etc?

Each time Firefox is refreshed, I must re-install extensions. How can I save the extensions so they do not need to be downloaded and re-installed ever time Firefox refreshes?

I am switching jobs and want to sync my Firefox history from old work computer to new. Both run Windows. I changed the primary email associated with my account from the old work account to a new email. No problem. I synced the new email to my iphone no problem. Now im trying to download and sync Firefox to my new laptop. Running Windows and Im trapped in a crazy loop. I login with correct password to the new email and it asks for the authorization code and when I enter that, Firefox switches to the OLD email and asks for that password. I am not sure I have that password correct because i set the account up four years ago. Regardless, i cant sync my new laptop. But I was able to sync it on my iphone so it CAN be done with the email addy and password I am confident about. Please help.

  Is there anyway to stop firefox downloading files entirely?  Or at the very least, stop it auto downloading or prompting to save download settings ?

Hello, I recently migrated to a new MAC and now when I download a file and click on "show all downloads", it opens the about:downloads tab and not the downloads list from the library. Is there any way to force Firefox to open the Library when I click on see all download please? Thanks

Two day ago the update wiped out my logins and passwords but not bookmarks I added them from google but they do not save I have reinstalled current an past versions but it will not hold any logins or passwords in memory

Tried to download firefox browser. It just says in downloads 'Couldn't download - Virus scan failed'. How do I fix this? I did check that my laptop is updated. Security is updated. Scanned laptop for viruses, got nothing. Restarted laptop. No change.

Please turn off the download drop down menu that appears every time I do a download...if you cant do that then give your users the option of turning it off or on...

I have an older Macbook Air that runs on OX Capitan which is not compatible with the latest version of Firefox. I have been a long time user of Firefox and have an account.
