Hello!

I used to be able to open a file (with a program) without it being saved. Ever since 98.0, the "open" option saves the file regardless. I even had to find a work around to get the "What should Firefox do with this file?" prompt.

Is this no longer possible?

Thanks.

For the last few days Firefox has been having loading problems. Most of the time (95%) Firefox only opens a white screen. I do not get the Pocket Home Page, if I type a URL in it simply tries to load it but nothing ever loads. If I try to type in "about:profiles" nothing happens. Occasionally a link will load. Although then if I try navigating else where it doesn't load. Firefox is up to date, that was the first thing I checked. I refreshed Firefox yesterday and that seemed to work, although today it was back to not loading. I uninstalled and reinstalled today. I tried refreshing after installing, setting up a new profile and nothing works. I can navigate the web on Chrome and get e-mail through Outlook just fine. I've scanned my computer with Webroot and found nothing. I can not get anything to load from navigating with navigation bar. I tried typing in "about:support" and it didn't load. I can go to the Help menu and select "more troubleshooting options" and then The Troubleshooting info loads.

Can anybody help me figure this mystery out?

What is the last Firefox version that works with MAC Lion OS X 10.7.5?

I have a study program of that vintage that plugs into firefox and the version on the computer now is 3.0.10 (from year 2009 and the program does not work with it.

The program is compatible with Lion OS X 10.7.5 but the Firefox version is too old.

The version 3.0.10 on the computer does not work well with most sites or crashes. The intent is not to expect to browse, just be new enough for this program for its dedicated use.

Firefox did an update to their 89.0 version and now I can't log into any Google accounts (or any emails at all) using the Firefox browser. Good morning. My Firefox appears to have updated overnight and now my menu bar is a light grey colour instead of it's original black. I want to reset the menu bar colour to black because I now have no contrast between it and my tabs. I have searched the help articles but none of them tells me how to do this. I am directed down the path: settings> extensions and themes> manage your themes.

Unfortunately I can see no way to 'manage' this theme. I would mention that I am a native English speaker but any so called 'discussion' of this issue uses what I call 'geek-speak' which is unintelligible to a non IT professional.

I would be most grateful for someone to explain to me in simple terms (ie keystroke by keystroke) how to re-set my menu bar colour to black, whilst noting that the text for (file, edit, view etc) needs to then be white rather than the pale grey which it has become.

As an after thought, does anyone know which developer it is that thinks it a good idea to mess with my original view settings during an update. It is NOT helpful and, quite frankly, really annoying.

Many thanks in advance to you wizards out there Chris

When receiving the following messages when accessing a specific URL.

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to xyz. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

Then clicking on the Advanced... button at the bottom of the popup window.

And then clicking on the Accept the Risk and Continue button.

My question is does Firefox make any changes to Internet Options or anywhere else, including within Firefox to change configurations of any type when the Accept the Risk and Continue button is clicked on?

Thank you!

Hallo

keyword.enabled habe ich auf false gestellt.

Vielen Dank und Gruß Robert robert.jordan@gmx.at

I am trying to restore the take screenshot icon. The suggested remedies do not work. Take screen shot does not come up as an option, no matter on which part of the page I right press. Also, control + shift + s does not work. Finally, the screenshot icon does not show up in my list of icons to be transferred to the toolbar, so I can't do that either. How do I fix this? I use screenshot a lot, especially the option to take a shot of part of a screen.

Until I updated to 88.0 64 bit, when I right clicked on a page there was a link to View Page Info right next to the View Page Source link. Now it is gone. I can get the info page back by right clicking the padlock icon, clicking the arrow, then clicking more info but that is a real PITA. How do I get the link back on page right click. I am 100% sure that this was not done intentionally. That would be very silly and absurd to do.

For some reason after the version 87 update, I cannot get any updates for Firefox unless I completely remove my Firefox browser application including all registry entries under Software for Firefox and Mozilla. Then I was able to obtain version 91.0 by installing a fresh copy of Firefox. However, I still get the message under Settings: "Your browser is being managed by your organization". Clicking on that message shows that the policy DisableAppUpdate is true.

I searched the directories C:/Windows/PolicyDefinitions and C:/Windows/PolicyDefinitions/en-US, but could not find the offending poicy DisableAppUpdate. This policy is set to true by the system administrator. I am the only user and have administrator privileges. How can I set this policy to false or remove this policy? I want to get updates!!

Thank you, Peter Nevard
