i need some help with my firefox browser. all of a sudden my firefox browser wont download any files from anywhere but if i try to use the save image as on an image firefox would download them. weirdest thing is other browsers are fine when downloading files.

Didn't have this problem before but after a couple days ago, I didn't know what changes happened to my computer but most of the program wouldn't work except I have to run it as administrator. The download problem occurred when suddenly my FF always froze no matter if I closed it or not. So I just refresh my FF and copy my profile from the old backup data that FF generated and just pasted all of them on my new profile. The problem is that after I tries to download warcraft 3 maps from google drive, the download always occurs as failed. I don't have this problem when I tried it with Edge. Running FF as admin doesn't worked either. Neither as when I run FF as refresh without any extension. Downloading stuffs with IDM (Internet Download Manager) does not have any problems. Just now, I try to download a .xlsx files from my workplace websites. After I click on the download or the file itself, nothing occurs as if nothing happened. This is giving me a headaches so I came here to give it a try if anyone can help me fix this problem.

I am experiencing an issue related to the Vanguard anti-cheat system used by Riot Games, specifically in relation to League of Legends. After installing the game and Vanguard, I am unable to open Firefox. When I try to launch Firefox, nothing happens. However, if I change the name of the firefox.exe file, I can start Firefox on a different profile, but it only works for a short period before becoming unresponsive. None of the options or tabs respond after that.

Could you please provide assistance on how to resolve this issue?

My password saved are deleted every time I close FF. It used to be manageable because Google and other sites didn't require me to fill my passwords (cookies did the trick I suppose) but now I also loose access to gmail and Youtube every time I close FF. It's annoying to have to use 2FA every damn time. And keeping the passwords available.

I've tried every answer I found by looking around :

- tried to start in safe mode - disable hardware acceleration - I have no extensions

FF saves the passwords correctly (at least they appear in the saved password tab) but they are erased every time I restart FF. The cookies aren't automatically deleted (FF remembers my browsing history) but I need to relog into Google.

I getting frustrated.

After update, when I click on auto fill option a settings tab opens every single time. I close it and it happens again. I use firefox to fill out some repeated forms (and separate topic would also like to customize these autofils and pre-write some ideally), but this is a new problem that breaks using firefox totally for me, causing lots of scrolling clicks and time wastage. What changed that can be fixed in recent updates on this? Thanks.

In Firefox, whenever I go to nab.com.au and then click on Login on the top right, I hear a constant stream of static noise coming out of the speakers.

In Chrome, when I just visit nab.com.au that same noise starts.

I have a set of Bose speakers connected via an optical cable.

This behaviour doesn't happen on all sites. Just some. As soon as you close the tab, the noise goes away.

It's driving me absolutely nuts.

Hi Forefox dosent show cookie content pop ups for some webpages. Have tried loading the same webpages with Edge, and a pop up is shown, whwere i am asked which cookies i would allow.

Have cleared the cahe/cookie, started up in secured mode, deleted profiles (made an search on firefox/Mozilla and deleted all files) and reinstalled firefox but the problem persist.

It started a month ago, just like that, Have changed pc, to a new one, and from windows 10 to windows 11, still the same.

Help would be nice, thank you.

I have installed firefox in my laptop for years. after latest update, firefox runs just fine only for the 1st time, then after closing the app / restarting the laptop, firefox keep giving error (attached) I have tried to refresh, run troubleshoot mode, uninstall and reinstall again at one point I was able to recreate the issue only after reinstalling firefox 126.0.1 portable version and then syncing to the profile ( run ok for 1st time, then it broke down after closing it) The problem also seems repeatable using firefox 115 protable Now, I tried to reinstall the portable version from scratch, it keeps hitting same error from 1st run

I have also double check the firewall and antivirus to make its not blocking All other browsers works just fine

when I sign into Goog/setting/2 step, the page does not show "app passwords." I've turned off my ad-blocker extensions and pop-up blocker on the page. See attached.

More than half of the websites are broken when viewed in Firefox now E.g. theguardian, youtube. It takes way too long to load and most of the time it's only part of the page. The same websites work on Chrome and Edge without any issue.

And then I try to upload screenshots (.JPG) to this form and it doesn't work?

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

I have recently been getting an error message when I open Firefox saying "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem". This has been happening since I clicked on a mail in Mail to unsubscribe from a spam/phishing mail list, which seemed to result in me installing Firefox Private Browsing, which I had never subscribed to. I have tried uninstalling Private Browsing but there is no way of doing that. I have even uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox completely but I still have the same problem. Because of the problem I have now lost all my bookmarks and history, and am unable to create new bookmarks and history. I have been on the help forums and seen that I can Disable Private Browsing by going through my anti-virus (Avast), which I have not yet tried because what I would really like to achieve is uninstalling and not having Private Browsing on my Start menu, rather than simply disabling it. Anyway, would disabling it solve the bookmarks and history problem ? Can anyone give me the solution ? Thanks. As you may gather, I am not very techno so you would have to give me the idiot's version of any instructions or advice.

I would like to further secure my passwords but don't want to have to enter the primary password every time I start the browser. I would like it to only prompt me if a password is needed. I can go days without needing a password to be entered and open and close Firefox every time I use it. It gets tedious. Thanks!

The settings window opens automatically when auto fill is used. Each time I click on the pre-fill bar on a webpage, the settings window/menu opens automatically. How do I stop this from happening? (but continue using auto fill). Thank you
