I've been having trouble staying signed in on websites from Google (youtube, classroom & etc.) while using Firefox. I've tried everything from clearing cookies and allowing all cookies to reinstalling Firefox and removing all extensions, but the issue persists. I've also read other similar articles but they didn't work either. What steps can I take to fix this problem?

I've had this problem for a couple of years already. Not with other browsers and, with the Internet Download Manager extension, I'm usually able to download multimedia content in FF. (That's been my workaround.)

For example, when loading this humble URL ... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/d/d8/Plattenknistern_record.ogg/Plattenknistern_record.ogg.mp3 ... if I have autoplay enabled, it'll crash right away ("Your tab just crashed"), without autoplay, it'll crash as soon as I hit play. Until a few days ago, no crash report was created under about:crashes, but, after upgrading to 112.0.1, I've finally been able to submit a crash report: bp-203a462b-e949-47b0-90f3-a99760230422

No difference if I create a new user profile and disable add-ons. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help either. I can't do without most of my settings and add-ons, so refreshing FF is not an option. I'd sooner try a new install (and then import my profile and reinstall add-ons), but that's laborious and not guaranteed to solve the problem.

(I've submitted this question before, about half a year ago - now archived -, but that didn't go anywhere for lack of crash diagnostics.)

Ever since the last two updates to Firefox, I can't use the browser without a lot of trouble. It won't launch for 15 minutes; links take several minutes to load; it's just not reliable anymore. The Firefox on my laptop works just fine since I refused to update it. I've tried starting in safe mode; disabling all add-ons; clearing the cache and history; uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works. I'm using Firefox 112.0.1 64 bit. Windows 10. How can I get Firefox to work again on my desktop?

I'm enrolled in multiple classes at teachable.com and they both use my email, however, the classes are VERY different and I need two separate passwords. Firefox said NO. Is there a way to have two passwords using the same email address? I did try to log in when I signed up for the second course and it did not recognize my email address. The sign in process for the first site is slightly different and goes through the instructor's site, and then through teachable.com. My password for the first class is stored on Firefox under teachable...and I've emailed myself the password to the second class until I can resolve this. I thought there would be a comment field or something to differentiate the two courses. Please help. Many thanks!

My laptop was stolen. In my new laptop I try to open all my sync tabs at once, but I can't. I signed in, I see all the sync tabs under the "sign out", but how can I open them all at once? I read that I should right click the devise name to do that, but I can't right click it.

I have a Brother MFC-J53330DW printer, and cannot get the duplex printing feature to work on my computer since installing and selecting Firefox to be my default browser. It is a similar problem others have had in the past, and no solutions have come up that worked. I can print double-side/duplex in other browsers, and this feature used to work with firefox in the past. I updated the Brother drivers. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this issue? It seems like others have commented on it happening with other Brother printers with Firefox.

If you reference this question (Duplex printing not available on default Firefox profile) and others on the support site, the option does not show up in the print menu, or if using the system dialogue. Please help!

In Firefox my google map location shows that I live in Maryland when I live in San Francisco.When I use Chrome this doesn't happen. I have spent the last two day trying all the solution Ive found online. Windows has my location correctly. Ive tried other map programs and they seem to have the correct location. Ive done everything suggested by google to fix my location but it still is incorrect. What am I missing Thanks Mark

Lockwise on My iPhone 13 forgot my login and asked for a password for some reason. As I have turned on 2-step verification it asked for the code from Google Authenticator. However this code was not accepted and I had to use one of my recovery codes. Now I am logged in and would love to disable the 2-step verification, as it does not work, but there is no such option in the app.

When I click on the 3 lines in the top right corner of firefox, my email is shown very plainly. This would cause issues with my profession if it were to be opened by accident.. Is there a way to hide my email address in that area?

Anyone know how to stop floating videos on Firefox anyone know how to stop floating videos on Firefox 112.0.1? This just started happening 2 days ago. Dailymail.com is the worst. No problem at all if I use Edge. I do have ghostery but Daily Mail gives popup saying to disable my ad blocker. Strange, because I also have ghostery on Edge. Again, no problem using Edge, just Firefox. Drives me up a wall.

I just hooked up a new Windows 11 computer and installed Firefox, which has been my default browser for many years. I was irritated to discover after I synced with another computer that almost all the icons for my add-ons have disappeared with no apparent way to get them back. I NEED some of those icons and it makes absolutely no sense to have them gone. Before anyone suggests it I have checked where you customize the toolbar and none of them are there. I refreshed Firefox just in case it helped and of course it didn't. Checking online only results in finding other people with the same problem with no helpful answer. It's almost like Firefox is begging people to leave and go to another browser, which I probably would since I'm so irritated at this issue, but I'm not happy with any other browser. Firefox is the only one I've remotely been happy with, but the way it is right now I'll be pretty much unable to use Firefox on my new computer. At least I still have my icons on my Windows 10 laptop until I'm forced to upgrade to 11 but my new desktop just might end up Firefoxless unless I get a helpful answer.

Why is everything made for touch? I can't even set the density to compact anymore and everything is bigger than it was before... I'm extremely frustrated with firefox at this point for not being able to do something very simple which google chrome has. I want to organize my tabs into groups so that the next time my tabs close unexpectedly, I can open all of the ones from that group. I naturally organize them right now into windows and I minimize the window if I'm not using the tabs in that window. However, my new laptop cannot handle having more than 3 windows with 5 tabs open at a time. Last week, I was on a video call and firefox closed all of my windows that I had organized my tabs into. Once I was able to reboot firefox, I could not click "restore session" because I needed to get on the video call. Then the "restore session" button was lost. Many of the tabs I haven't touched for a few weeks, even though they were all organized together, I can't find them in my history together because I wasn't using them all on the same day and some of them were sitting unused but on a digital to do list within that window. I've tried every single tab organizer that is "recommended" on the firefox extensions and they all suck. I don't understand why they automatically hide my tab groups and then I can't open them again, I don't understand why I need to duplicate a tab to mark it in a certain container, it just feels like none of these are simple and none of them will do what I want them to. I want to speak to a real person. I need help. I don't think I can use firefox anymore. Why is there no help people here.

Tell me how to restore my bookmarks. My browser is Firefox, but the bookmarks are also missing when I open Yahoo on Chrome, indicating the problem is probably a Yahoo homepage problem. OS is Windows 10.

My fire fox keeps muting all tabs when I have more than 1 tab running with any audio. Discord and any other app with sound can mute everything too. I need to close everything that uses audio and then reload the web page with only that 1 tab open in order for audio to start working again.
