I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

I keep getting a 403 error message when trying to access the British Airways website. This is the first time I have encountered this, although it is perhaps 3 years since I last flew BA. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have also tried to access the same ba.com site using Edge - with the same error message. This suggests that the problem may lie with BA. However, they have no technical support that I can reach. So I do not know what to do next. I use Kaspersky anti-virus and Malwarebytes to screen for malware. I go to www.archive.org on a regular basis. Now though, all I get is a blank screen and when I click on the small figure at the address bar, I get the meassage "Connection not secure"

Why is this suddenly happening? In the week since I was there last, I have not changed any hardware or software.

Even though I discovered that "private mode" will get to that page, I like to keep my history file complete for when I need to refind something. I don't want to have to start using ":private mode" for browsing.

I really don't care if it is not a secure site. I trust it and want to go there. How do I override this so I can get back to a site that I have visited hundreds of times before this problem showed up?

BTW, cookies and caches have been cleared out. The computer has been rebooted. My internet connection has been reset (several times). The results have not changed. None of my other frequently visited sites does this. Only www.archive.org

I am attending college classes on line, I frequently have 4 tabs pinned, and 3-4 further tabs open. Without any discernible pattern I can fathom, Firefox will close everything. I have no add-ons to remove, update or restart. I have no plug ins to remove, update or restart. My drivers and Windows OS are all up to date.

I ask my Firefox to delete my history and clear the cash when it is closed, so it takes me roughly 5-20 minutes to log back into everything I'm doing for class or my personal life when this happens.

Upon researching this matter today, all the fixes I can find involve removing add-ons and plug ins. Or updating them. Or turning them off. I have none to try this fix on. The advice on the main page says to check that all system are up to date. I have checked, they are.

I downloaded Qwant browser some years ago out of curiosity then took this laptop offline. When I allowed this laptop back online, I noticed Qwant and disabled it, as I am accustomed to DuckDuckGo and no longer feeling curious, just want to get work done. Qwant is showing as disabled (under the Disabled heading, and greyed out).

However, when I use CTRL-N, the new browser window is Qwant, not Firefox, not DuckDuckGo.

I check that Firefox is my default browser and the laptop checks every boot-up that it is the default browser.

Can you help? I know there's a line of code somewhere but don't want to do more than I have -- endlessly search the settings, checking that there is nowhere that allows Qwant to load, let alone preferentially loads it.

I'm not sure what happened because it never broke sites like this before. Sometimes it makes a site impossible to read. I haven't done anything to the browser and this just started happening.

I decided to migrate from chrome to firefox, sadly, my experience has been faced with random slow downs or partial loads even on a fresh install. It's weird but it seems that at random times some websites will refuse to fully load or even start loading, it appears that the app is just hanging. This is usually fixed after several refreshes. Oddly enough, even on a fresh install, if I attempt to load up the same website while in private browsing, it loads right away, again this is consistent even on a fresh install, the attached image was an attempt to load youtube after signing in on a fresh install without add-ons, I tried loading up youtube in private and it worked right away. Chrome wasn't presenting this problem on my computer for years. Any ideas? My computer specs are high enough where they shouldn't matter. I'm running an AMD GPU (7900 XTX) but I haven't found any know issues regarding these, to even discard that, I disabled hardware acceleration, but the issue persisted. Running up to date windows 10, installing latest version of firefox.

I have tried many times to import my passwords from Chrome and from my desktop Firefox, using synchronising, to this laptop, and it has continually failed to happen. My Tabs and Bookmarks, for example, have all been successfully imported.

I want to make Firefox my default browser but cannot do this without successfully importing my passwords.

Please let me know what I should do next.

Are you able to take control of my laptop remotely and resolve the problem? If so, please let me know the times and days when you can do this, so that I can make an appointment, stating which time zone you are in as I am in England.

I changed my PC. Then i installed Firefox my new PC and login Firefox account. But my old PC's Firefox account all data will de deleted history passwords etc. It was looks like a new account. How can i restore my old data. My old PC was already formatted.

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

I have two PCs, both running the same versions of Firefox for years. A little over a year ago, after an update, a new "Private" icon appeared in my taskbar in addition to the normal Firefox icon on one of my machines, but not the other one. This presented, and functioned as two different, independent browser applications; I could just click on the private browser icon to open the private browser without opening the "regular" Firefox. I don't know where this came from, but I like it... but it never changed on my other PC, and I can't find how to apply it; is there a setting or something I'm missing? Why did it happen automatically on one machine, but not the other?

In error, I answered 'yes' to save an entry on a site to be my new login ID & pswd for that site. I want to get back to my original login ID & pswd. They told me I need to call my Browser FireFox to "get rid of my pre-saved login id & pswd". How do I do that? jerrybrown411@gmail.com

When I visit NeilYoungArchives.com with Firefox, the formatting of the site is "broken." None of the icons line up properly or are in the same place. It happens every time I visit the site since the last update even in a Private session. This does not happen for any other browser. It is at the current version and runs on a Mac
