I'm making automatic installer for special Firefox extensions. I have read couple of articles about that, but none of the described methods are not helped. What I tried to do:

- Placed .xpi file and unpacked unpacked extension directory in %FF_DIR%\browser\extensions
- Placed .xpi file and unpacked unpacked extension directory in %FF_DIR%\extensions
- Placed unpacked extension directory in another directory and added record in registry (`HKLM\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\extensions`, key is extension id and value is full path to unpacked extension)

In all ways name of unpacked extension directory was:

- Random name
- ID from install.rdf #1 (`{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}` for example)
- ID from install.rdf #2 (`prism@developer.mozilla.org` for example)

And, as i said, all methods don't give me expectable result. Firefox don't show extensions in list and don't show any notification. How can i solve it? What actual method using in current version of FF? Target browser is Firefox 41, system - Windows 7 x64 Thanks!

I start firefox and go news. Sometimes it allows me to watch for a while. without warning mozilla not respounding computer is totally locked up. I try to stop program (mozilla) at times it allows me and other times it takes many tries to stop. Mozilla says plugin-container.exe high cpu usage. Has happened many times in the last few weeks. I have refreshed several times to no avail.

When going to full screen while viewing a Twitch stream, a white overlay/status box appears at the bottom left corner of the screen saying "transferring data from video.#### {some kind of address}". Mousing over it causes the box to jump to the right hand bottom corner.

This does not happen to Twitch full screen in other browsers (IE and Chrome)

I have been trying to get firefox to play 60fps videos on youtube (either flash or HTML5, preferably the latter) but to do this, I need to enable hardware acceleration on firefox (it's the only solution I've found so far) and doing so causes random Blue Screens. I might mention that this only happens in firefox and without hardware acceleration, my youtube videos don't even play at above 20fps. I've been looking for a solution to this issue for days now and haven't found anything, don't understand what's happening.

Hi,

I use an extension (FEBE) to backup my browser, as part of this FEBE takes a copy of sessionstore.js. Since I upgraded to Win 10 and Firefox 41 FEBE is generating an error when running a backup. (sessionsstore.js not found)

If I look in C:\Users\michaeltrucker\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\y3vhq0bc.default-1446331514952 the sessionsstore.js isn't there. If I close Firefox then the file is created. As soon as I open FF this file disappears?? wft!

If I want to take a copy of the file that holds the info for my session where is it stored while FF is open?

Thanks

Michael

I use to watch ESPN videos streamed in FF. I have FF latest version (41.0.2) and the non-working websites are espnplay.com and foxplay.com. It is not a problem with my cable provider since I am able to stream videos in Chrome. In fact this issue started a few weeks ago; until then I could watch videos in FF as well. I do not have a problem streaming videos in youtube.com or any other website for that matter. It looks like the video keeps loading but never buffers. OS is Windows 7 64bit. Thanks for your assistance beforehand,

Fernando

Some Images opened in new window or tab are upside down or rotated 90 degrees, but display in correct position when using MSIE.

I don't know yet if this is a browser or a server-browser interaction problem. The problem manifests one some user forums where members post jpg images that appear as thumbnails. I can right-click and select "open in new window" or Open in new tab". Either way some images open correct, some open rotated 90 degrees out of position sometimes upside down. If I use MSIE the same images will open right side up.

Every time I open Firefox a second tab is opened by ZenMate asking that I activate ZenMate. Since I have never activated it, it does not appear on the list of installed programs in Control Panel. I do not want to install it and do not want to be bothered continually with this tab, which is the active tab upon opening Firefox. If I remove whatever it is causing the tab to open, is there anything else that should be removed to completely remove traces of ZenMate?

Basically, I assume when you go into full screen mode, the tabs and search bar should autohide until I move my mouse over the top of the screen right? Well, this doesn't happen despite trying the suggestions on other threads e.g. right click on empty space next to tabs and check hide toolbars (already checked on) and going to about:config and checking that browser.fullscreen.autohide is set to true.

However, I do have two other options that I think might be a clue as to the problem. There is an extensions.browser.fullscreen.autohide that is set to TRUE and extensions.fullscreen.noautohide set to FALSE.

Is there an extension or add-on I have that might be interfering? I have session manager installed...maybe that might be it?

Every time i start up ANY browser ( Firefox, GoogleChrome ... ) Baidu opens as my home page.

-I Searched my entire computer, i can't find a Baidu.exe or any sign of Baidu in my PC. I did find a Shortcut "target" edit that added a command to open some file in program data ( i deleted that ), but Baidu still pops up.

-And i can't go to Options > General or Advanced because then firefox crashes. ( i think it's because the virus doesn't want me to change any settings )

-I scanned my entire PC with Malwarebytes , Microsoft Essentials and SuperAntiSpyware. They found 40 errors/viruses and removed them, but that didn't fix anything either.

So.... how do you remove a browser search engine virus without going to Options? Where do i start?

This may not be a Firefox issue, but I've searched Facebook and have no answer.

I've started with the Add-ons disabled in Firefox, changed my Appearance option, checked for updates for my Plug-ins but nothing seems to help.

The only thing I haven't done yet is use another browser. I've disabled some of my Add-ons, one by one with no results.

Has anyone here had this issue? Any help will be appreciated.
