I cannot copy and paste properly or edit pasted text
for the past few weeks Firefox has been really hard to Copy & Paste text from one page to another, then editing the text is impossible - I can paste lines of text but… (funda kabanzi)
for the past few weeks Firefox has been really hard to Copy & Paste text from one page to another, then editing the text is impossible - I can paste lines of text but only one goes in the box - then when I try to edit or manipulate the text it just screws up :/
It does not matter if I use context menus or Keyboard commands to copy & paste (CTRL C& V)
I've been using Firefox for about 10 years and NEVER had this issue - I have tried the stuff in ABOUT:CONFIG CONTEXT and even in SAFE MODE the issue exists :/
I tried to screen record the fault but that's pointless because you cant see that my key presses are being totally ignored in the text box - all you would hear is me swearing the computer
Anyone else having this issue?
WTH is happening
I don't want to switch browsers as all my devices sync but this is getting really bad and makes working on my business blog virtually impossible.
Been in I.T. for 28 years and never seen anything like this before!

Why can't i change my default language

I restored/refreshed firefox per 'your' recommendation. As a result all tabs, history, and tool bar faves have vanished. Not acceptable. I am furious!

I have the latest version of Firefox and all the plugins are up to date (Java, Flash Player etc). I have experimented changing Hardware Acceleration Where Available box, the media.windows-media-foundation.enabled attribute, clearing the caches, opening in safe mode, nothing makes the videos play.
Is there anyone who has had the same problem and managed to solve it.

I refreshed and now anytime i search Yahoo.com the home page is missing files. I've tried to search for answers and haven't found anything that seems to work. There are probably millions of Norton Internet Security users. We just went through major problems with Firefox 40. I just upgraded my systems to the newest release of Norton Internet Security - 2014 (NIS21), and now Firefox 41 has blown NIS out of the water due to some facility being removed. Are you trying to drive millions off of Firefox???
There is no warning to users on this. I just happened to research this. Lucky I didn't have FF auto update on.

Now, cookies ARE enabled, I DID clear the cache, I DID delete all the Google-related cookies, and Firefox's Options pages have no setting for privacy level that I can find. Also this problem does NOT occur in IE, so it's not McAfee Antivirus that's at fault.

For years, you tube viewed on firefox presented a video quality menu, on which one could select up to 720 or 1040 resolution. Starting a week ago, that menu changed and only allows 360p. Yet, on my SlimJet browser, I still get the menu that allows me to select 720p, etc. I have screenshots of the menus on slimjet and mirefox proving this, but your image uploader is absurdly slow, so I cancelled trying to attach the screenshots., My flash plugin is up to date, and I reinstalled it just in case. No improvement.

When I accessed my Contacts on Outlook.com (people/live.com) my contacts names are intact, but all the phone, mobile and work numbers, company name, notes and other information are missing from all of my contacts! The only information showing on individual contacts are their name at the top, the email and snail mail addy. I have over 500 contacts and most have other information besides just their names, email and postal address. When I select a contact that has multiple fields of information, such as phone, work, company, notes, ect. the field names show up but there is no data in those fields. Contacts where I've only input an email addy, no other field names show up.
When downloading my contact information from Outlook.com into excel file, all information appears in the excel file. When accessing my contacts on Outlook.com through IE and Chrome all the information shows up. My contact information syncs to my android phone and all information is intact. So it seems to be a communication problem with Firefox.
I have tried signing out of my Outlook.com account in all browsers, dumping all history and cache, trying different proxy settings under Firefox options (advance/ settings) with no resolution to the problem. This problem started Wed. or Thursday (8/14/15) and I am using Windows 8.1

Hi, After recently updating my Firefox Web Browser (Version 40.0ß), I have noticed that the 'searchplugins' folder has disappeared from the 'browser' folder. I am currently using Ubuntu MATE 14.04 LTS. So this folder would be in /opt/Firefox/browser. This problem is also the same in Windows 7 (C:/Programs Files/Mozilla Firefox). Therefore I cannot import my customised .xml search plugins into Firefox. Please could you help me?
