I keep getting these annoying links that are double-underlined in my browser web-sites. I have disabled the Pass Show add-on. I have uninstalled the Pass Show program using the XP Control Panel and reset Firefox from the Troubleshooting menu but the pass show double-underlined links keep showing up.

This has been going on for at least a year. Every time I update Firefox I hope the issue will be resolved, but if anything it's worse. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I reset. I turned off Hardware acceleration. I updated all of my plugins and Firefox. I tried Safe Mode. I turned off protected mode in Flash. It has something to do with flash, I'm sure. I used flash blocker and it seemed to help, but not totally. I'll open a tab and it will freeze. Says (Not Responding). Little green processing circle will freeze as well. This happens with flash intensive sites, which these days is most sites. I tried using IE and the sites worked. It's gotten to the point that I actually have to stop using Firefox. What's the deal? Why is it STILL like this? The only resolution is to open task manager and close Firefox.

I don't just surf the internet for fun it's my living so I'm going to have to start using Google Chrome instead.

What a waste of time.

I get a few different unresponsive script errors, all starting with "chrome://" even though I uninstalled the Google Chrome browser. What do these scripts have to do with Firefox? (I have no add-ons enabled except Flash Player and Ghostery.)

One example is the script chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:222

I also got a "chrome" script error when clearing my Firefox cache.

Has Google Chrome left unwanted modifications to Firefox and my system?

I've researched the help files and done everything I could find to make cookies accepted on the yahoo mail site and nearly every other site I frequently use. Tearing out what little hair I have left trying to get into my email! Help, please? Going nuts over this.

Link completion is very useful feature, except one little thing - some links there have "switch to tab" attribute, which I consider useless and harmful.

There are many site models that do not reflect position in top URI (for example, using POST params, navigating in subframes, etc.), and such links only waste visible completion popup slots.

How can I disable such "switch to tab" links/attributes ?

Ctrl+click works (openning one excess tab), but it's half measure. Safe mode doesn't stop such behavior, so it's core feature.

I have a malware called MalSign.Trusops.C4B which is in Program files\file type assistant\tsassist.exe. AVG has secured it and It has one reference to a file/directory and 2 to registry values. I don't know what the malware does, but the registry reference includes 'shared access\parameters\firewallPolicy\standardProfile\authorizedApplications\'. I have searched the web and have not found reference to this particular one, although I have found other MalSign references. Also I am very careful about the web sites I use and don't download from unknown sites so I am wondering where this could have come from. Any ideas?

Thank you

Firefox does not exit process after closing window. I am using Firefox 27.0.1, and this problem began with Firefox 26. I am using the standalone Linux version, not specific to Fedora, Ubuntu, etc. I have restarted with add-ons disabled, and I have reset Firefox to its default state. The issue still occurred with both configurations. I can consistently produce this problem by logging in to Gmail and logging back out. Then I close Firefox, and the process remains. This has happened while visiting one or two other websites, but they are not websites I visit regularly, so I don't know what they were. Killing the process allows me to open Firefox again, but I don't want to kill the process every time I check email. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

I like Mozilla Firefox, and have used the browser for years.

I like to have a different Firefox browser for each major subject (for example, each upcoming trip). I have about 30 different Firefox browsers open at once in my computer memory. Each of these 30 browsers has about 20 different tabs open in my computer memory. So in total, I have about 30 x 20 = 600 different tabs (websites) open at any one time. I refer to these often. Since I have spent the time to search and find these websites, I want to read them very easily in the future. I also have about 100 bookmarks, but bookmarks are not as organized as browsers and tabs. At night, I put my computer to sleep. In the morning, I turn on the computer, and all the browsers and tabs are there. If I had to restart my computer, (for example after installing Windows updates), then Firefox used to ask if I want to restore the previous session, which I did, and I got all 30 browsers x 20 tabs = 600 tabs back no problem.

But recently, I cannot restore all of those browsers; they are gone. How can I restore all the browsers I had open previously? I see the tabs under "History", but they are not organized within all the browsers that I had open. I reset Firefox to the factory default, but that has not helped.

Thanks, Craig Seattle, Washington, USA
