My Firefox has gotten so buggy lately I can't use it. I'm writing from Edge. THere are numerous issues. The sign in process got messed up a couple months ago. IT asks for email address, then doesn't provide password screen option, takes forever to send email, and then sometimes repeats itself. Tabs crash and clicks fail to work randomly. Out of desperation I reset my Firefox password and that seemed to help temporarily, but not enough. So what's happened and how to fix??? Thanks.

For the last several months, I have been unable to get audio input from any device working on Firefox. The mic inputs work in all other apps and browsers, are appropriately permissioned on Windows 11, and appear in the Firefox permission windows. No actual audio is received by the website.

I have installed Firefox clean, rebooted countless times, tried the Beta and Dev channel releases, and disabled all extensions, to no avail. I have ensured that I am on the latest releases, have tried various devices, run virus scans. I have included images of the Windows sound settings showing working Mic levels, Firefox showing the device in permissions, etc.

My sound drivers are up to date, and mics work in all other browsers and apps. This is limited exclusively to Firefox.

For the past week, when I sign into Facebook, the news feed is constantly refreshing itself. Once in a while the first post will stay, but the remainder of the news feed keeps refreshing. It is impossible to read anything as posts flash on and off, mostly off. The news feed is the only thing that is affected, visiting pages for likes and groups load and display properly, as do the games I play. The same occurs if in the private window mode. This does not happen if in the Chrome browser. What can be done to correct this situation?

Hi all, In the past I was using Chrome and I have decided to move back to Firefox because I didn't like certain trends of that browser...now...the thing is...I like to use Yandex, but in Chrome -until a certain point- I was able to alter its settings to force default English language for it.

Firefox seems to have Yandex set as default...you cannot alter it and you cannot delete any of the default engines (i.e., because if it is loaded, you seem unable to try add it as custom search engine with your chosen parameters), but seems that the Mozilla developers had the brilliant idea to add it with the default settings...which is in Russian...

...and you look into Extensions and all the people writing extensions seemed to have the same idea...

Now...fine that Yandex is mostly for Russian people, but why English-speaking users to be forced with the default search in Russian and being completely denied any possibility to force the English language on Yandex (as it is fully possible if you were able to tweak the search parameters...but Firefox isn't allowing to do, because the only thing we have is a dumbed down interface with a list of search engines!)...

...alternatively...why not allow to force our favored language parameters to ALL search engines by default?

( That would mean that one could have Google, Bing or Yandex in a different language of our choice....but that change would need to be implemented on developer side...)

As of today, I am unable to scroll with my mouse in google sheets. The scroll bar on the right disappears and I'm taken to the bottom of the spreadsheet and can't scroll back up. I have to use CTRL+Home and then the arrow keys to go down the rows. This appears to be only on Firefox. I tried a different browser and it worked fine.

Dear Technical Support,

I'd like to report a problem which affects the rendering of websites in Firefox with a HiDPI monitor.

I'm having issues with the text and graphics of web pages, that are often mismatched or misaligned, with text being too large compared to graphical elements. See the enclosed pictures for an example; as you can see, this happens also on your website. Also, I've noted that pages (and plugins) appear to be "shrinked" as opposed to when viewed on Chrome, where they are shown to their true size.

Setting ui.textScaleFactor=100 and tweaking with layout.css.devPixelsPerPx did not change much. I must admit that I find this behavior quite strange, since HiDPI monitors have been around for more than a decade, and especially considering that this did not impact my experience with Firefox on Windows, using the same monitor and machine.

I hope to find an effective solution to this problem and look forward to your reply. Please let me know if I can be of any help in this matter.

Best regards, Federico

Whenever I log on to my bank's web site, I'm sent an audible signal that invites me to start a chat session with a bank agent. The problem is that the audible alert is so loud that it startles me. This is very annoying. I called the bank's help line and was told there was no way they could adjust the sound volume. I would like to know if it's possible for Firefox to decrease the volume for that web site.

ONE EXAMPLE - This morning I wanted to sign into my Navy Federal Credit Union account. I got the following error message:

You don't have permission to access "http://signon.navyfederal.org/siteminderagent/forms/mfa.fcc" on this server.

Reference #18.7efdd17.1710862426.19b449b3

I called the Credit Union. NO PROBLEMS at their end. I was asked which browser. I was told that Firefox is frequently the problem! I changed to Google Chrome and had NO trouble signing in.

I have had this problem previously with a few other websites.

ANY WAY for ME to fix the problem since I FAR prefer Firefox?

Thanks,Arthur

Firefox has stopped printing webpages. I have done all the processes suggested on help and user pages. To be clear: - Same webpages print on my computer via Edge -All other programs print fine to any of my 3 printers on my home network and my printer at work. -There are no Error messages, I get the print preview, and I can alter any of the parameters there, I click Print and it closes the window, as it used to but it just never turns up at the printer. -I have tried the application menu, the Menu Bar (Filr, Print) and Ctrl P: All exactly the same. -I have removed and reinstalled ALL of my printers. My wife's computer has the exact same version of Firefox and has no problems whatsoever. Any thoughts, please?

Recently I had to refresh Windows 11 on my Dell desktop. It defaulted to McAfee antivirus. I uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled Norton 360 which I had before. I reinstalled Firefox. I have version 123.0.1. I imported my FF bookmarks after exporting them from another computer. Now, FF remembers my IDs but not my passwords. When I log in to a website, FF offers to save my password and when I click yes it pops up a bubble saying "Password saved!" However, next time I go to that website, although it remembers my ID, it does not recall my (supposedly saved) password. In this support site, I see most users with this problem say FF will not remember either their IDs or passwords, whereas FF remembers my IDs, so my problem may be different. In FF help, I see that another password manager could be keeping FF from saving passwords. To the best of my knowledge I have never used another password manager. What is keeping FF from saving my passwords, while remembering my IDs? Is there a Windows Registry setting or a FF About:Configuration setting I need to change? Is re-installing FF a last ditch option?

Hi, I watch specific streaming live show on YouTube every week. Unfortunately, I always have to play it in non-Firefox browser, because the video freezes every couple minutes, while audio track is still playing in the background. Based on the comments from the stream chat, other people have this issue too. Why? How to fix it? It is annoying. Internet connection is ok. Other browsers no issue. I have been experiencing a problem with Cloudflare specifically on one site (character.ai) and when the verify you are human pops up. It takes me in a seemingly infinite loop. On the Cloudflare community site they say it could be because of things like adblock but even without any adblock or anything of the sort on it does the same thing. Sadly Cloudflare community doesn't support being used on Firefox. So maybe they don't support being used on Firefox in general? I have contacted the actual websites support but they don't seem to even read submitted inquiries because I never hear anything back from them except the automated message they received it. It is now preventing me from using certain things in general which as before it wasn't that big of a deal but recently they changed the site layout and still allowed you to use the old layout but the verification blocks you from using the old layout. The first one is one from a couple of weeks ago when it only effected me trying to open things in a separate tab and the second one is the newer one which prevents me from accessing the old layout. I'm not sure what to do about it since nothing I specifically could do to solve it has helped. I have opted into sharing data under troubleshooting IDK how well that'll help.

Hello,

I have a problem with Firefox on Linux, doesn't seem to be distro specific as I've tried Manjaro/Ubuntu/Neon, when using KDE in that when listening to music on YouTube music my computer will go to sleep after the elected time. On KDE you can see which applications are preventing sleep and/or screen lock, other applications are listed here but not Firefox.

When playing a video everything works as expected.

I would investigate myself, but I don't know where to start so if someone can point me in the right direction or offer any insights?

Currently using: KDE Neon KDE 6.0 Kernel 6.5.0-21 Wayland

while reading an MSNBC or Fox News article (for example) from flipboard, suppose there is a video at the top of the article. But I don't want to watch that video... I just want to read the article that appears below it. So I start to scroll down, reading the article, and when the video scrolls off the screen at the top, a picture-in-picture with that video appears at the right side of the article, (sometimes blocking part of the article). If I had wanted to see the video, I would have watched the video! STOP these blasted picture-in-picure pop-ups.

Every time I look for help online, all I see is how to enable/disable the PIP controls, and no help on how to block PIPs themselves.

Sorry for the long post, but I don't know how else to describe the problem succinctly. Jerry (at wit's end)

I have Firefox on Windows, Linux, and Android. Anytime I use Firefox on a desktop, it sends me to Tornado Alley in Kansas. However, I am not in Kansas, and I don't have dog named Toto either. I am in the Detroit area. If I use other browsers, I don't have this problem. It only happens on desktop computers. On my cell phone it shows the correct location. I have already done the simple troubleshooting measure (for a year now: clearing cache, uninstall, reinstall, etc...) and NOTHING removes me from this Tornado Alley, Kansas location on the Firefox browser. If I use Chrome, Opera, Edge, etc... I don't get this problem. It must be something in the Firefox program.
