Over the past two days, I have found if I create a new tab, the shortcuts that I had saved on that page have all disappeared. Does Firefox keep a backup of these shortcuts? Unlike related support messages I've read, my bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are unaffected.

These shortcuts (about 16 of them) took quite a while to accumulate, and it is frustrating to see that they can just simply disappear like that.

I am running Firefox 108.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10).

I recently installed windows on a new solid state hard drive, and did a fresh install of firefox, but I forgot to manually backup my bookmarks. The old install is still on the old windows hard drive, is there a way for me to move them onto the new install? I'd prefer to not have to rebuild the whole list from scratch!

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? I have many bookmark folders with many items in each folder. Some folders have many,many items in those individual folders. To scroll down the many items I have in a folder takes time. Is there any shortcut I can use to get to the end of the list in a folder without scrolling down for five minutes to get to the end of a list? I have looked in the Firefox website but I have not seen this question. I have many folders that have a lot of items I have bookmarked. Thanks for any help you can give.

I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

So this crazy new update has broken my Firefox in these ways:

1. All my bookmarks on my bookmarks bar have been deleted. 2. I can't drag any new links to the bookmarks bar 3. Overflow menu for apps is empty and will only let me drag Firefox defaults to it such as settings. Dragging apps to it is impossible. It "is" possible to pin items by using the Chrome puzzle piece..

Using troubleshooting mode has no effect.

I would like to transfer my bookmarks (and my open tabs) from my Windows 10 laptop to a new Windows 11 laptop. I've looked at the questions and answers people have posted but its a complete mystery to me. I had thought that when I loaded Firefox onto the new PC and signed in, everything would automatically appear. I was successful in doing that with Chrome but Firefox is still my primary browser and I've had no luck. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to put a shortcut to a web site on the Desktop. Using the the padlock on Firefox 109.0(64 bit) puts it in a sticky note on Desktop instead of a shortcut on the Desktop.

I am running running on Fedora 37 KDE where this does not work.

Using Fedora 37 Workstation (GNOME), the shortcut is created and works.

How do I get the shortcut to work on Fedora 37 KDE?

WHERE IS MY BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR??? Every time I update Firefox (now 109), I end up with all kinds of problems! NOW, I can't see my bookmark toolbar. All the help articles tells me how to show it or how to bookmark a page, which I already did multiple times. But this issue is never solved. If I can't get this resolved, I'm going to MS Edge.

I cleared cache, junk, and history from my computer, and now I have no bookmarks on Firefox, and when I bring up the restore option it give me several options but not bookmarks. Can someone please help me to restore them. Thanks

When I enter the first few digits of "amazon" the first suggestion is always "amazon.com". That would be nice were it not for the fact that, as a European, I don't have that much use for prices in dollars and imperial measurements. I have bookmarked "amazon.de" but due to alphabetical order .com always comes first. Naturally, I have tried to purge "amazon.com" from my bookmarks but I have been unable to find anything that I could delete. Thus, I am wondering whether anyone might know how this issue might be tackled and I would be much obliged if anyone could help.

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? Hello, I have a problem, where many bookmarks from my old device are synchronized to my current Firefox browsers (on PCs) even when old device is removed months ago. What worse, when sync is performed, it duplicates tabs, now in "Bookmarks menu" I have albost 2000 bookmarks what are duplicates od ~20/30 ofer month. If Firefox do sync now on 2nd PC, I will get again 2000 and plus something bookmarks. Deleting it gives nothing. It comes back again and again. Normal Bookmarks tabalso gets old tabs and duplicates.

Like the title states - now have to scroll back down through all the bookmarks in a folder because it no longer holds its place. This is a great time waster.

Thought I would try to save some time by opening bookmarks in new tabs, but it then switches to the new tab immediately and I still have to scroll back through the same folder to open the next bookmark.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Have to keep scrolling bookmarks folders from the top instead of being able to pick up where I left off LIKE IT USED TO BE.

Also, instead of being able to right click and open bookmarks in new tabs to try and speed things up, it immediately switches to the new tab, which means having to scroll from the top of the folder AGAIN anyway. And yes, I'm well aware of the "switch to it immediately" option in the settings menu, and that box is UNCHECKED in my settings.

I'm not the only one complaining about this time waster, yet no replies from support on any of the threads.

What is the fix for solving the issue of having to scroll back down through the same bookmarks in a folder, instead of the folder holding its place from where you were working? This is ridiculous.

The bookmarks scrolling issue since the last update remains, and there has been zero response from support regarding it, no matter who's asked about it.

How about this - when is the next FF update expected? I'm sick and tired of wasting time using a browser that only lets you open one bookmark at a time, and expects you to scroll down through all of them each time you need to access a different one since it no longer holds its place like it did before the last update. And I'm sick and tired of wasting time reporting an issue to "support" only for it to be ignored.

Using Macos on an M1 MacBook Pro. When adding bookmarks to folders on version 110 to the bookmarks toolbar the contents of the folders on the toolbar do not update after adding a bookmark.

To clarify, a bookmark can be seen when I click manage bookmarks and look at the same folder (so it is there), it can also be seen if I add a bookmark directly to the bookmarks toolbar root, but not if it's in a folder in the toolbar.

Even a restart of Firefox fails to show the bookmark.

I do have bookmarks in folders on the toolbar but it seems to have stopped showing any new ones.

Any idea why?

I am writing to report an issue that I encountered while attempting to recover my bookmarks in Firefox. After reinstalling Windows, I installed Firefox on my new system and attempted to retrieve my saved pages. While browsing through the settings, I discovered a backup recovery button in the bookmarks section and assumed it would restore my previous session in Firefox. Unfortunately, this action deleted all my saved bookmarks and set them to the default settings.

I am extremely disappointed and upset about losing all of my bookmarks, and I am hoping that you can assist me in recovering them. Additionally, I have been unable to locate any method of restoring my saved pages, and I would appreciate your advice on this matter as well.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to retrieve my lost bookmarks and recover my saved pages. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello. First of all, does anyone know where a list of supported query terms for smart bookmarks could be found?

I already know some, such as "sort=" and "maxResults=", but would like to see a full list.

Second, would it be possible to use smart bookmarks to show a list of visited websites whose URLs match a pattern such as "food.com/*doughnuts*"? That is, all websites from food.com that also have the term doughnuts in the URL?
