Hello,
First time posting here, so I'm hoping that someone can help me out.
I'm encountering a very odd issue on my Macbook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.4. I am unable to access two sites – allrecipes.com, and seriouseats.com on my home WiFi network on the Macbook.
These sites work on other browsers (tested on Safari and Chrome), and they also work on my iPhone.
Oddly, when I went to work and tried to access these sites via WiFi using Firefox, I was able to.
I am unsure what the problem is – the ability to access these sites on Safari, Chrome, and my iPhone at home suggests that it's not a network issue. I haven't encountered this issue with any other sites.
I am attaching three screenshots 1) The error message that I'm seeing for allrecipes when I attempt to access the site 2) The security tab which shows that the connection is unencrypted for allrecipes (home network) 3) The security tab showing that the connection is encrypted for alrecipes (work network)
Thanks

The latest version of firefox for MacOS 14.4.1 has broken the picture in picture function. When enabling PiP, the video window takes up almost the entire screen and doesn't remember the size i set it to, like it did in older versions of Firefox. Another issue is when im in fullscreen mode and enable PiP, the PiP window takes me to another 'desktop', whereas before it would simply overlay on top of my screen.

I have a well hidden web server that uses HTTP. I need to download files from that server. After the newest update, Firefox now gives a warning about the website and on that warning is a button to "Allow Download". However when I click on that button, the file that gets downloaded IS NOT the file that I was initially attempting to download. It looks like it is a copy of the web page that was being displayed at the time. I noticed this behavior at work. I went home and used Firefox to connect to the server and everything connected and downloaded correctly. I went to see what version of Firefox was running. It was 124.0.2 and there was a button saying "Update Firefox". I clicked that button. My home Firefox updated to 125.01 and my home version of Firefox now also downloads the wrong file.
when i try to get to my amazon account which i use on firedox i get the following error

Hello everyone, I’m a fan of Firefox due to its efficient handling of webpage caching and memory management. However, I often find myself switching back to the Chromium-based Edge browser due to one specific feature in its DevTools. In Edge, when I resize the viewport, it stops at a certain limit. If I want to resize it further, I can zoom out and then continue resizing. I find this feature very useful. Is there a way to have similar functionality in Firefox? I’m currently using the Firefox Developer Edition.

We have an electronic document management system in our company. The system is an internal system without access to the LAN. Hello. In the last few days when I visit my Shopify website, the pricing on my products is not visible. This is only for me, nobody else has this issue. I do not have this issue on Safari, or on Firefox when I open a private browsing window. It is something to do with Firefox, but I don't want to have to open a private window every time I go to my store. Is there a solution? This has only been happening for the last few days. Thanks

Not sure if this is a new 'feature' post-update but it's damn annoying. I was busily transferring some photos that I'd taken on my phone over to Firefox on my Mac. Wasn't until I went to find them on the Mac where they would normally be and couldn't find them. Bit of digging, opening up the Download 'history' on Firefox and saw "File not downloaded: possible security risk".
I can see that I can disable this 'feature' but it seems to be a global "allow". Is there any way I can tell Firefox to allow any downloads from my devices on my network yet warn for potentially insecure downloads from the web?
TIA

The initial web site is https://www.ssa.gov/. From there I hit "Sign in", and get to https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action using Edge, but get just the error message using Firefox.
There is another route, which is through https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/. Hitting either account or sign in on that page will work on Edge, but gives the same error message on Firefox.

Firefox just stops responding when trying to load a web page. The only way to get it back working is to reboot the computer. I have tried quitting the application but when I try to restart it it doesn't respond and I end up having to force quit and reboot the computer and then it will work fine. This has been happening for months now, on multiple devices (I have tried at least 3 different devices), and on multiple networks.
I have read the articles in here, but they just want me to check network configuration which is exactly the same for all browsers.
If I restart firefox it starts working again.
How can I prevent it from breaking randomly? This is the only browser having issues, I'm almost positive is some bug and not a configuration thing, given that it happens under multiple circumstances and devices, while Edge and Chrome simply keep working just fine.
There is no consistent repro I can give, afaik it is just random, at some point Firefox just decides to stop working and I have to restart it. This disrupts my work and browsing activities as I can lose progress on input forms and similar actions.
