when I entered this string - chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul - I got a 'file not found' message. Is there another way to access that? I am trying to get to https//mlb.tickets.com and get this message: The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Everything is gone….bookmarks, passwords, history on my desktop computer and I have no idea why. I opened Firefox and the home page was different and then noticed nothing was the same. I dl Firefox again, no help, same result. I do have my desktop synced to my iPad and laptop but I’m concerned they will import from the desktop and get wiped out. Is there a way to sync from the laptop to the desktop? I am at a complete loss on how to fix this. I do run a backup on this computer. Would that help? Restore point?

when I click on the firefox icon to load it takes me to my home page, but within 20-30 seconds it loads firefox again. it is very frustrating when I.m starting something and firefox loads again taking me back to home page. I have to go down to the bottom and click off the second firefox. I don't know how or why this started. Thanks for any help.

I use Outlook.live.com Hotmail and recently a PopUp Message appears asking me to:

Add outlook.live.com as an application for mailto links.

Microsoft Customer Service said it was not something they initiated and likely a Firefox issue.

It does not seem safe to click on a random link like this without any explanation. Each time I log in, the same message appears.

Could someone please explain what this is for and how I can stop it from popping up each time I log into Hotmail?

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

After years of accessing www.youtube.com with Firefox with no problem, the website is no longer accessible as of yesterday. When I point my browser to that URL, I get a screen with greyed out video previews, greyed out titles, greyed out account access and a search window that does not do anything. I can access YouTube just fine with Safari. I've cleared my cache. Please advise.

For one site I go to there is an internal menu where I should be able to scroll down. In Firefox, there is no option on the right side for me to scroll down...but in Chrome I have no problem. The owner of the website said it should work in Firefox but it's not. I have attached images from the 2 browsers. I have attached 2 screenshots. For Chrome you can see to the right of the numbers under the Acct # column that I can scroll down. But in Firefox I don't have that option to scroll down to see entries at the bottom of the list.

Help! How can I fix this so I can scroll down in Firefox for this sub-menu item?

I recently got a new computer. Installed firefox onto it. Brought over my profile with all my data and bookmarks. But for the life of me, the page would just sporadically flicker. I tried messing with the settings; performance settings; hardware acceleration. I tried refreshing firefox. But nothing.

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

Firefox works great on every other video site. But Youtube will not show or play video. I have refreshed Firefox, disabled add on. Restarted my computer, tested all hardware. No Bueno...

Whenever I get a link whether in an email from a verified sender or from using a site like Amazon, clicking on a link always results in "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." This has happened ever since loading the most recent version of Firefox (124.0.2) and it is very, very frustrating. What is causing this? Even in "safe" mode this occurs. Please rectify this situation. I do not want to have to change browsers after more than 20 years with Firefox.

Firefox decided to remove the total amount of homepage shortcuts. For months, it allowed for 4 rows and 8 columns, with blank "Add Shortcut" shortcuts. This allowed me to organize or split my shortcuts better. This morning, it decided to move all shortcuts together. As per the "Before" and "After" screenshots attached.

Usual disclaimers: Firefox 125.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 No Config edits No extensions currently installed manipulate, affect or otherwise influence shortcuts

Please advise.

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.
