Hello, today I wanted to replace the "about:newtab" background with a picture.

I've already tried a lot like creating an extension, and adding the chrome folder with "userChrome.css" or "userContent.css" but I haven't had any luck whatsoever.

Could you help me in any way?

My preferred way would be through an extension to share it with my friends.

On the landing page for youtube, I used to be able to right mouse click on a video thumbnail and select "open image in a new tab" from the context menu and see the thumbnail in a new tab window.

After recent updates, (now using 111.0.1 64bit , on windows 10 pro), this feature no longer exists. It's not a change on youtube because the thumbnail is still recognized as an image and can be opened in a new tab when I use Edge browser. It seems like Firefox no longer recognizes the thumbnail as an image.

Is there any setting I can change to get the feature of "open image in new tab" back into the context menu. or somehow get Firefox to recognize the thumbnail as an image ?

I absolutely hate browsing forums for solutions to my problems.

I hate being forced to search FAQ's for questions that nobody asks frequently enough before being able to post something. I appreciate this is necessary to limit multiple threads about the same topic, but it's not the perfect solution.

It doesn't help if the admins of this forum fob off questions with an arrogant answer and close the thread.

I'm looking at you @dropa. Please chill. These people need to talk to each other. Don't just shove potatoes in their mouths send them packing.

Tab or sometimes the Firefox process crashes when playing youtube video after a while. The tab / process doesn't crash immediately but will continue playing the video for as long as almost 1hr before crash.

OS: Manjaro Linux Viedo card: Nvidia 3060.

I signed on and when I made an account I clicked save log in, then it sometime after i entered the wrong password logging in and a popup said "Save New Password" or whatever even though the new login failed because it was the wrong password-- so I clicked Enter, thus erasing my previously saved real password for this website. Now I can't get into the account because I don't have my password.

Additionally, I entered the wrong EMAIL so I can't even click "forgot password" to get a recovery email, and I can't change my password without entering my current password.

Is there a way to recover this data? Again 1. Made an account with password- saved with firefox 2. Tried logging in, entered wrong pass , pop-Up showed 'update password' fast, I clicked enter 3. Now my password is gone.

I was paying a bill and at the end there was a pop up from Firefox to save the payment method. I clicked the wrong box and it was saved. I would like to reverse that error. With the latest update of Firefox, my laptop, which is a high end DELL, is experiencing big difficulties just running a Firefox with 3 tabs open. the CPU usage is skyrocketing and it is also heavy on the memory. I am running the same 3 tab on the same websites as I have been doing for the past 6 months, but since the latest Firefox update, this has become impossible. What happened to Firefox? I have had no other significant updates but the Firefox update.

I have recently updates to Windows 10. In the past PDFs uploaded via Acrobat. Currently they are uploading vi Firefox viewer. I have been able to SELECT portions of the file then SAVE AS . This included save as type.

The PDF displays ok. BUT I cannot find a way to SELECT . The TEXT SELECTION TOOL is not working. Is it just me?

Should I change to ADOBE and if so how do I do that?

Is there any way to hide/disable the "No AutoFill Enabled Databases" tooltip shown on every login form. I don't know why FF needs to show this tooltip everytime I login to a site, when I've got AutoFill disabled.

In my settings all "Logins and Passwords" and "Forms and Autofill" settings are currently disabled as I don't use browsers to save these.

I have problems with dragging files from downloads directly to my desktop. Now, in order to drag downloaded files I have to open the downloads folder, which is an additional step and a nuisance.

Is there any way to get the old functionality back?

Add address in search bar I get "ERROR OCCURRED" It seems something on my end is blocking this ip. Cannot ping from pc or router. Since the latest update of Firefox I have lost the zoom in and out buttons, the 'stick man' for street view and the options for Satellite etc. Also, if I select directions I get the detial but no indications on the map. These functions all appear to be avaialble via Microsft Edge, so i assume it must be a Firefox/Google maps interaction. Any help would be appreciated - Chris Platts

How do I disable the search bar from showing my previous searches when I begin typing?

I already unchecked everything in the privacy settings, but it still shows my history (see screenshot).

What additional steps do I need to take to disable this feature?

FireFox works well for everything I need except for youtube. There is usually a 5-10 second delay before a video starts playing. And once it is playing the video will often stutter (audio stays fine). Overall the site just runs really slow. I've tried using a private window and the problem is present there without any of my extensions active. Also I've tested on Chrome and youtube runs much smoother in that browser. Please help?
