Yesterday I noticed that my saved passwords were not being retrieved from Firefox. I did do a Windows update before this happened. None of my passwords are able to be retrieved. My Firefox account says my sync is not working & that my account is disconnected. Which is weird bc I'm actually signed in to Firefox now - able to see my user name. What's going on here & how can I fix it? Thanks!

I want to add a custom Google search but there is no obvious way to do this. Firefox for Android will just let you enter the search URL and name it. Chrome also allows this.

I have what I think is a simple or basic version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading pdf's. I need to be able to work with an XFA-based pdf which can't be done with Acrobat reader on Firefox. The Adobe help page gives instructions on how to do so in Firefox here: https://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/kb/xfa-forms-firefox-chrome.html However, those instructions don't appear to work with my version of Firefox (which I think is up to date). Basically, those instructions tell me to "choose Tools>Options" and then click "Applications." Those instructions are apparently out of date and Adobe Acrobat hasn't updated their instructions accordingly. Is there an alternative to allow me to work in an XFA-based pdf on Firefox? I am an active user of Canvas LMS and I believe the most recent update of Firefox is breaking parts of the website (dashboard never finishes buffering and assignment details never show up). Right now I am forced to revert to a chromium based browser to use Canvas which is very incredibly inconvenient, and until the issue is resolved, I'd like to stay on Firefox 105.0.2 instead of 105.0.3. I know rollbacks are not favored at all, so if there are other options I'd be open to trying them, but I need an answer soon.

I hope someone can help! My Firefox account was hacked as was the email connected to it. I currently have no access to the primary email. I thought I added a secondary email, but I never got a password reset email so maybe I didn't. In any event, how can I contact Firefox to lock the account? I have a lot of sensitive information saved and I need that to be locked or better yet, erased.

I set my default search engine to DuckDuckGo. Still, when I open a new tab and click on the address bar (without typing anything), "Search with google" is the first suggestion, followed by recent history.

I don't want Google there, it is not my default search engine, and I even removed it from my "Search shortcuts". I would expect either "Search with DuckDuckGo", since I explicitly set that as my search engine, or better yet, no search engine at all (since the address bar itself already functions as my access to search).

Hello there, Me and my co-workers are having trouble with Firefox RAM usage. After last update on every PC Firefox started to use too much RAM. Everyone has 8GB RAM and at least Intel Core i4 9th gen. What can we do to optimize Firefox? Is there any settings that will help with performence?

I am trying to help a friend set up her web site. To do so I need to access her pages under development. She uses a composer assistant. The produced pages are compliant with http not httpd. They will be ported, eventually. But, for now, I need to override disable "connection not secure" for ONE site. I tried disable HTTPS-Only Mode in Firefox to no avail. What's next to try? (Please don't say trash Firefox unless that's categorically impossible and the only solution.) If I had more time I'd scarf the source and start Hacking. Please, someone offer a usable simple solution.

I have always been accessing my online banking or other sites using firefox, but about two weeks ago that has been made difficult, if not impossible. For some reason, I can not access my Bank of America account, but I can access my Navy federal account. Today I found out that there are a few other sites that I log into that I cannot access now. I have also tried to use a different browser, Microsoft edge and Chrome, but I still can no longer access these accounts, this was never a problem before. Can you help?

Within the past few days, I've noticed Firefox act buggy and then got the message “The bookmarks and history system will not be functional … ” so I deleted my profile like it said so here. I had backed up all my extension settings beforehand, but it would be more convenient to backup and import them all at once with one or a few clicks.

one of my friend uses google. As we live in sweden, We have to visit so many swedish site. But google always translates all those possible to English automatically, and also there is an option comes as you can change the language.

But I do not get the chances here.

I just signed up for Mail.com and created a new email account there. When I first used it, I received a message (not an email) that I am not using the most current Firefox, and I need to download the most current Firefox. However, Firefox's update function says I am current. Now, I am concerned that Mail.com is not reliable or safe, although it is promoted by Firefox. Can you clear this up?

I really really really hate firefox automatically downloading files without asking me. I just have to go and delete them all later which is a pain. How do I stop it from doing this? I can't find a way to do this. I have changed pdf setting to open in firefox but I cannot stop the download. Help. This is driving me crazy (or to another browser)
