Hi there!

I have the issue that when I enter a website that is in English, I sometimes get a little Google translator pop-up at the top which asks me to translate the page. As I am fully fluent in English, I would like to disable this but the option "Disable for English" does not seem to do anything, as this keeps happening. I can disable it for an individual website but I would like to disable it completely.

I'm also confused because within Firefox I have only selected US English as a preferred language. My laptop itself is set to German.

I don't have any translator add-ons installed and can't figure out where this pop-up even comes from, let alone how to fully disable it.

If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful!

Lately when I attempt to download any pdf file I get the 'file name'.pdf with 'failed' as the result (when I check the Download icon on the FF status bar). I looked in my download directory and I found these 'failed' .pdf files with 0 KB and also some files (same name).pdf.part. I changed the file extension (deleted .part) to .pdf and the files would open in Acrobat. Nobody likes inconsistent problems, but occasionally a pdf will download normally!! But it fails more than it works. Using FF 102.0 (64-bit)

I no longer see a box that contains a variety of search engine choices. I have been using DuckDuckGo and am very dissatisfied with it now. I'd love to know which one(s) people recommend (not google, bing etc, please!) and what the steps are now to changing DDG as my default to this new one? Many thanks (I'm a senior and quite computer literate unless the reply contains tech language I might not understand...)

I have tried with different commands lie ctrl+w,Ctrl+alt+F4 , like this everything is used to closed current tab or entire browser .I tried the other way right click on tab> close all tabs But i need a shortcuts to close all tabs except the current tab which were using. Could you please help me on this.Which will be more useful to me ..

I used the same account with two computers. I always keep my account in sync. Actually, they do not. My previous notebook has a series of bookmarks, but the bookmarks in the latter one is exactly different. It seems like two accounts, but I log in with the same account. Miracly, when I log the same account with my phone, the bookmarks in my phone is sync with my previous notebook I don't know how to solve it and appreciate your answer.

I was checking to make sure I was using the correct version of Firefox browser. I ended up on a page that stated "It looks like you haven’t started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" It went on to ask if I would like to Refresh Firefox, just like it was brand new.

In the Menu option on any Firefox page I can get on it states: "Account Disconnected". I have been using Firefox just about every day for 3 years. What is going on. I didn't dare click on the "Refresh Firefox" tab because I have no idea what will happen. Will I lose everything, bookmarks, settings, etc.?

My sidebar used to always come up showing "history." Now the default seems to be "bookmarks." I know I can toggle down to "history," but I often forget to do that and click on a bookmark, thinking I was going to my most recent use of that bookmark. Is there a way to set the sidebar just to "history" again?

I use tabs within windows to keep track of to-do items/wish lists etc. I had about 5 windows open with anywhere from 10-30 tabs each, my firefox closed unexpectedly and did not give me the option to recover the windows and tabs as it has before. Any way I can recover these or am I screwed? Thanks.

Running Firefox 102.0 in Win 10. When I try to download a PDF file, I get (1) a dialog box saying the download failed, (2) two 0 byte files in the download directory with the name of the PDF file I'm trying to download, and sometimes (3) a PDF file with a filename of 8 random characters that appears to be the file I'm trying to download. How do I fix this?

"Never remember history" setting stops UBlock Origin from blocking ads. When I set it to Remember History, UBlock Origin blocks ads. When set to Never Remember History, ads are no longer blocked. I notice this mostly on YouTube. Any way to have UBlock Origin block ads AND have Firefox never remember history BOTH?

I've downloaded a couple of add-ons this week that did not do what they claim to do, so I wanted to leave reviews so other users won't waste their time. Except when i got to do so, i am surprised to see that therte is no clear way to write a review for an add-on. I am logged into the add-ons page, i can view the previous reviews for the add-on, but nowhere does it inticate how I can leave a review. Google led me to the Mozilla add-ons wiki which states "You can complete most of the review using the reviewer tools at addons.mozilla.org" except there is no indication to where one can locate these "reviewer tools." Seems a bit funny to me that Mozilla would choose to hide the functionality and make it so difficult to use.

I have LastPass extension active in my Firefox browser, however it does not work. When opening my Firefox browser the LastPass icon in the upper right corner remains black with 3 white dots, not functioning. On other browsers the LastPass icon turns red, functioning. How can I get the LastPass to function? I have been forced to use Edge as my primary browser where I prefer to use Firefox. Please help.

I just had to recovery my Windows installation and all of my apps were removed during the process. I reinstalled Firefox and then tried to login to my account (Sync) and I couldn't remember my password. I then reset my password and then tried to sync my bookmarks and everything was gone and nothing was restored....is there a archive of my bookmarks available somewhere I can restore them? Please help!
