I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Had Firefox 9x or so installed on my mac and then updated to 101. Now tabs go to sleep, unloads. So videos paused and the timer reset, webmail have to login again and again. If saving websites temporary in tabs now can change after article/sites get updated.

Setting "browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory" to false do not work. Tabs still go to sleep with the "ZZZZ". Have tried to restart Firefox and reboot computer.

Tried to install older version of Firefox but then it complain about compatibility with the old "settings files", so have to make a clean install then... Possible to force this? Change what version the "settings files" are so older version of firefox dont complain?

I changed my firefox account password and lost all of my saved logins and bookmarks is there any way to restore it please help its very imp coz i dont have backup.

I suddenly can't click the "copy song link" item in Spotify anymore. It worked fine last week and works normally in Chrome.

It also fails in Troubleshoot Mode and after clearing Startup Cache.

Firefox 102.0 (64 bit) on Windows 10

Couldn't open Firefox XPCOM error.

Downloaded Firefox again and I now have Firefox in OS/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox (which doesn't work - XPCOM error) and a second version in OS/Program Files (x86) which works but has lost all my bookmarks and passwords.

How can I fix this please.

Says my browser is too old!

My volume on Youtube is often too low. Some time back I got a java script that fixed it. I had to do an F12 and paste it in somewhere and then I got a little rectangle at top left which said something like 'volume'. Click on that and up went the volume. Click again, up more and so on. It was good. Sometimes on things like perhaps Bitchute it wouldn't work. It would actually switch all the volume off. I'd refresh the page to fix that. Anyway: it suddenly disappeared today. The little rectangle is gone. I can't up my volume on Youtube any more. I got something from the web, a javascript, and pasted it into 'console' after F12 but i got error messages. I'm clueless. Don't know where to look for my original, see if it still there. Don't know how to troubleshoot. Don't know any other way to get the volume up. See error message on the console whenever I go there, don't know what to do about them. FYI I'll post the first few lines of them: Unknown property ‘-moz-osx-font-smoothing’. the keep me signed in window problem is back! after 6 months of not being bothered by this problem, it has returned! same problem as original posting. the do not show this window again button does nothing and this window opens whenever i log into my live.com account. i haven't made any changes, added any programs, etc. under cookies and site data, i have "delete cookies and site data when firefox is closed"- managed exceptions are live.com, hotmail.com. Under history, I have clear history when firefox closes and under settings, site settings, cookies and offline website data are not checked! any help will be greatly appreciated. sincerely, d

I just had to recovery my Windows installation and all of my apps were removed during the process. I reinstalled Firefox and then tried to login to my account (Sync) and I couldn't remember my password. I then reset my password and then tried to sync my bookmarks and everything was gone and nothing was restored....is there a archive of my bookmarks available somewhere I can restore them? Please help!

Running Firefox 102.0 in Win 10. When I try to download a PDF file, I get (1) a dialog box saying the download failed, (2) two 0 byte files in the download directory with the name of the PDF file I'm trying to download, and sometimes (3) a PDF file with a filename of 8 random characters that appears to be the file I'm trying to download. How do I fix this?

Is there an option to restore not just the previous session, but the session before that?

It seems it wipes everything on each close, I figure that might be a security feature, but it would be really helpful if there was a plugin/add-on or better yet an option to keep session up to X amount. Since firefox is my default broswer sometimes I will open a link thru an app and close it, forgetting that it will delete my previous session. Then it is impossible to open up those tabs again as I keep them open for a while.

Please let me know if there is an easy solution to this.

I have appointments that utilize Microsoft Teams for the sessions. On my desktop PC (Windows 10) and my wife's laptop (also Windows 10) the links open up the Teams app, and things work well. However on my new laptop (Windows 11, not my choice) the links open up inside of the browser and ALSO don't acknowledge the existence of the webcam, despite my telling the browser to work with it. Teams is installed on the computer.

Could someone please help me to either (or both) get teams to open in the application or get firefox to acknowledge that my webcam exists (other programs do work with it).

Fedora Linux v102.0 rpm.

I recently faced with some weird issue, there is two setting options for cookies in about:preferences#privacy : "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" under the Cookies and Site Data and "Clear history when Firefox closes" under the History. The problem is when i restart my firefox session this two setting resets, the first becomes disabled, the second enabled with additional enabled options of Cookies, Cache and Offline website data + website cookies always deletes causing unlogining no matter is site in whitelist in Cookies setting or not. The problem preserved in any Profile, even in new created one, reinstall didn't help.
