Hi,

I've had an issue for a long time where certain websites just won't work properly on Firefox. This issue seems to be specific to this particular configuration of Firefox I have, as the problem doesn't occur on my other MacBook, nor on other browsers, and this problem persists even through upgrading this MacBook from an Intel-based processor to Apple silicon. I've exhausted all of the troubleshooting methods suggested by Mozilla here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems. My last hope is that it has something to do with Firefox's browser internals, though I'm not tech-savvy enough to understand what may or may not be working correctly with said internals.

As a few examples of what I mean when I write that certain websites won't "work properly," a reading on Coursera seems to have a scrollbar that can scroll indefinitely without ever actually scrolling the page down for me to read additional text from the article. Certain websites will fail to display certain videos or interactive media. And certain other websites will fail to display anything at all. (I wish I could be more specific in describing these "certain websites," but I can't recall what they are at the moment.)

Let me know if you need any additional information to help diagnose this issue.

I greatly appreciate any time and effort that you may spend trying to help me with this issue!

See the Question details for the Troubleshooting information.

Firefox has automatically updated to version 113.0.1. When it opened my previous tabs had all been closed to I selected the restore previous browsing option. Tabs all loaded with no problem. however none of the tabs could access the internet. I've tried removing Firefox from my Bitdefender fire wall and then restarting Firefox. Bitdefender automatically adds Firefox to the allows list but still won't access the internet. I opened a new tab and typed "Google.com" and got the message "open network login page" telling me I need to login in to the network to access the intenet. My PC is connected via ethernet and I use Nordvpn. I have disabled both Bitdefender and Nordvpn but still cannot access the internet with Firefox but can do so using Brave. I have accessed the Setting in Firefox and changed the Network settings to no proxy. Can you help please?

Prior to Version 113.0.1 I had No problems with all my web sites. Now, I have major issues. From not being able to log on to having to close the browser totally because Firefox won't allow me to go back to the site's home page. I know this accurate as I can log on to the sites via Safari and No problems and the sites work correctly.

Hi There. I'm running Firefox and Thunderbird. I have a gmail account in FF but as of this morning I was unable to send/receive messages (rejected by server). I deleted the mail account and tried to reinstall it within FF (smtp), but no go, I get a splash page from google asking to sign into google - that times out - although I was already signed into Google.

In my google settings I've cleared cache, history and enabled to accept all cookies. I am able to access my gmail account directly from gmail, but not through FF. I uninstalled/reinstalled FF. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Firefox is my main browser. I use Network Solutions for web mail. I use their portal to view email, maintain my appointments in their calendar, maintain my contact list, etc. Recently, the calendar function has stopped showing my appointments. When I use MS Edge browser with the NS portal the appointments show up. When I open a private window in Firefox and go to my NS mail account the appointments show up in the calendar. Just not in a public (?) Firefox window. NS tech support sent me to Firefox to resolve this.  ???

The icons when I watch a video are huge and not in the actual video. It's mostly in YouTube but occasionally other websites will have giant weird icons. I have no idea why it's doing this. My Firefox is up to date, I've scanned for viruses or whatever, I've tried disabling add-ons, I've reset my laptop, and just about everything else. It's not zoomed in or anything. It's not the end of the world and I can deal with it but it's kinda pissing me off. Been going on for about a day now.

I'll link a screenshot.

Firefox has been loading webpages very slowly at random intervals each day. Sometimes it works fine, other times it can take several minutes for a single page to load. The browser itself also seems to run a bit slowly when this happens as well, it can take more than one click to close it.

I've tried just about everything in [this article], none of it works.

I use Pinterest quite a bit and somehow a great deal of pins have disappeared.

This happened once before when I was using Chrome, and I was able to go digging into my cached files and find the cached versions of the thumbnails of my Pins, so I could somewhat recreate them based on that.

I'm not sure how to go about that with Firefox. Would any information (specifically images) be stored from a previous version of a webpage?

Thank you!

Hi,

I've imported around 200+ passwords from another web browser as '.csv file' in Firefox from option of 'import from a file.'

During the import, I was logged into my Firefox account as well.

But, after resetting PC, I downloaded the Firefox and logged on with my Firefox account, and there are only 29 passwords showing up, rest of the passwords are not there.

And, now I do not have access to that .csv file as well.

I am on Windows 11 and had reset my PC with option to 'Keep My Files' so there is no data loss as per my side or on the hard disk drive.

Please help me to get those passwords back. They are extremely important to me.

Thanks in advance!
