About two weeks ago multipel tabs started crashing nin Firefox 105. If I close then re-open Firefox everything worked fine for a minute or two, then the tabs crashed again. Clicking on the restore tab button had no effect. A few days later, this stopped happening and everything seemed OK, then there was another Firefox upgrade and the whole thing started again. I've had Firefox for about fifteen years and don't want to move to another browser, but I can't keep switching it on and off like this, it's annoying and a waste of time. I've had to start using Edge, where this problem doesn't exist. I've tried various solutions but nothing seems to work. The only thing that may explain it is that I've noticed in Task manager that the Ethernet throughput is far too high - the leaks go through the top limit. Can anybody help? I'd be very grateful to be able to use Firefox again.

Rendering is completely broken after the upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. See attached image. This particular render is of the advanced preferences page, or actually the prompt warning that it could break something is somewhere in there. The mountains are my desktop, it's all alpha channel in Firefox. Nothing else seems broken, and other apps and games, both using GPU acceleration and not, are working fine.

I have removed and reinstalled firefox (snap remove firefox then snap install firefox) but did not delete all of the history files in between. (I am posting this from a different browser, since Firefox is unusable.)

Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, Firefox 105.0.3 (64-bit)

Its very simple, I have a bunch of Saved Log in and Passwords saved in the place I'm supposed to save it. Starting yesterday for some reason Firefox stopped doing the Fill-in part. I've check all my info and its all still in there it just isn't getting from there to my Log In screens like it should? And to cut out this needless babble, it is NOT my computer! Cause guess what, I also have Chrome and my saved password function works just fine with them. Which is why I have both, it must be a really funny Business Lunch where you and Google flip a coin to see who is going to play dumb this week.

I have what I think is a simple or basic version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading pdf's. I need to be able to work with an XFA-based pdf which can't be done with Acrobat reader on Firefox. The Adobe help page gives instructions on how to do so in Firefox here: https://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/kb/xfa-forms-firefox-chrome.html However, those instructions don't appear to work with my version of Firefox (which I think is up to date). Basically, those instructions tell me to "choose Tools>Options" and then click "Applications." Those instructions are apparently out of date and Adobe Acrobat hasn't updated their instructions accordingly. Is there an alternative to allow me to work in an XFA-based pdf on Firefox? Thanks for your help and assistance.

I have recently left a job. I was given a laptop with that job. I have forgotten to remove the sync from that laptop. I no longer have access to that laptop.

I can see that it is still synced with this account.

I can find articles telling me how to un-sync the device if I control it, but not if I don't.

How do I remove that device from my account without accessing it or completely deleting my account?

Thank you

I installed this version of Firefox from the repository and I can no longer play back video. I have done a number of things to try to get the video playback to work again, however the bug persists. What I've done:

  • Reset Firefox
  • Disabled Hardware Acceleration
  • Disabled Any and ALL Plug-Ins
  • Uninstalled and Re-Installed the Browser
  • Switched between kernels
  • Ensured that Pipewire is functioning properly
  • Ensured that my hardware is functioning properly

I've done some other smaller things in my system to try to get this back, but as it appears, this bug still persists even after a delay in dropping the new version.

I see an archived question that's similar but no real answer was provided.

I'm running Ubuntu 22 and I've checked to see if there's a way to only mute Firefox but so far I have not found anything. Chrome works fine. Videos and audio clips play fine. My Audacity and other editing tools work fine. Only Firefox refuses to play any audio.

I'm confused about sync when it comes to sessions. Sessions is not one of the options.

A few days ago, I open Firefox and my profile was broken. Nothing worked in the way of toolbar addon buttons, contest menus, etc. I narrowed the problem down to the session store files.

The session was still present. I could scroll thru it, and select tabs, but hat was about it. Fortunately I was able to get things back working again in a fresh profile, but it was a tricky exercise.

My desktop sessions sync with my phone. Is the re a way to perhaps sync sessions, and do it recursively so you don't get a mess with duplicates and discarded tabs?

I used to to use Tab Session Manager until a couple years ago when it began destroying sessions, and there was no way to retrieve them. Even the supposedly repaired version couldn't reverse the process. Had something to do with the sessionstore-backups folder, so I don't know if I can trust it now.

In about:preferences i read: Your browser is being managed by your organization For german Users: Der Browser wird durch Ihre Organisation verwaltet. No further info.

This links to: about:policies Enterprise Roots Certificates ImportEnterpriseRoots true No further info

Search here: about:config security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots true security.enterprise_roots.enabled true No further info

So i used regedit.exe Nothing to see here but 1: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\ No further info

Where else could we see WHO is watching us? This is very important and if we can not see this, EVERYBODY could be this even Malware :( Why is that not visible under about:policies#active ? So this is a security malfunction of Firefox i mean.

Here i found no solution: "Security software uses this to hook in the Firefox internet connection to be able to monitor your internet traffic and possibly warn you or even prevent you from visiting not trusted websites." Topic: What is "ImportEnterpriseRoots" 2019-11-13 https://support.mozilla.org/lt/questions/1272909 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1354393 All archived.

BUT how to proove or deny this? I have no control over my security? How should i believe this?

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox in hopes of correcting an Express VPN problem. It didn't resolve the problem, but unfortunately it created a new one because all my old settings are gone. Of course they would be, what was I thinking! I see the upgrade.jsonlz4.... in my Old Firefox Data folder, but I've screwed things up so badly already I'm afraid to do anything else. Can someone walk me through what I need to do, or preferably can I pay someone to fix the mess I've created?
