Hello, I have problem with firefox. When I try download from facebook page files .docx, .xlsx (Microsoft Office) Firefox automatically download it as PDF and file is broken. I don't know how to repair this. Please help, it is very frustrating.

I recently updated to 125.0.1 and now get 'failed to check for updates': - when I manually check (help > about Firefox) (see image) - in 'settings' it also shows 'failed to check for updates' (see image) I never had such a problem with previous versions; any suggestions?

I'm on a Mac running Monterey 12.7.4. I've been using Firefox for years with no issues. All of a sudden Firefox can't load any websites. Message: "We can’t connect to the server at www.XXX.ca." But Safari loads all websites with no problems. I can't figure this out.

I have logged out of one Gmail account and want Firefox to use another, but Firefox ignores the one I want to use. How do I get Firefox to recognize a certain Gmail account so I can receive mail?

Firefox Setup 125.0.2.exe popped a flag on Jotti's malware scan: ClamAV: Win.Trojan.Spora-7724442-0 I know this is going to turn out a false positive because VirusTotal came up with no flags but can someone at Mozilla get this flag cleared at Jotti's/ClamAV ? thanks

I'm running a UI deployment with a web-app and Firefox on an Ubuntu system.

I'm running Firefox with the flag "--kiosk" to place it into kiosk mode (booted from the command line upon system boot). This works fine, and boots up Firefox to the page I want (my web-app) in kiosk mode (full-screen, etc.)

However, I get very annoying popups that are not acceptable for deployments in front of customers. I have tried, but CANNOT suppress all of them, or, when I thought I did, they came back a month later.

Popups:

1. "Keep pesky trackers off your tail. Open my links with Firefox" 2. "Welcome back" 3. Others like this...

These are Firefox browser popups, not related to popups that other websites can put up, and block the entire screen with an overlay until they are dismissed. My deployments are only going to a single web-page that I control (which has no popups) and there is no keyboard on the deployed system, so people cannot navigate elsewhere.

Things I've tried:

1. Firefox is installed via snap, which provides "snapshotting" configuration for the Firefox snap. I loaded Firefox, cleared the annoying dialogs, and then took a snapshot (theorying that I set Firefox configuration when doing this, and I capture that in the snapshot) and re-installed it onto a new system. Still go popups 2. Looked into user.js preferences. I can install this file onto the system, so I looked through https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/remote/shared/RecommendedPreferences.sys.mjs and this is how I initially got all the popups to disable themselves. I looked through that list and tested most of the recommended settings until the popups disappeared. However, after a month or so, I'm beginning to see the popups again.

Any suggestions from Mozilla or others that run into this issue?

I don't like getting recommendations in Pocket that you need a subscription to read. Why waste my time giving me the initial information on something, but then when I try to read it, I can't because I already have too many subscriptions. Seems like there used to be an option besides "Dismiss" to not show content from particular sites?

Recently I noticed that whenever I try to save a bookmark (and I save a lot of bookmarks) there are duplicates of my folders. I don't know why, but somehow at some point all my bookmarks got copied into other folders - Bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, and maybe something else. What's frustrating is that one of the folders is the one I use for convenience to access sites I regularly use, while saving to the other puts it somewhere I can't easily get to (I think it's the copies from Bookmarks Menu), so I have to make sure I'm putting it in the right folder - which is hard to do when they have the exact same name. Something I've found that works is to just find out which folder is the one that is in my toolbar and save it to those which pushes the ones in the Bookmarks Menu out of the quick access list, but that's not always convenient given how many bookmarks are in some folders. Using the bookmarks dupes extension, you can see just how many duplicates there are. I've also attached what I see when I save a bookmark, so you can see the duplicate folders.

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I just switched to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Firefox was working fine, but now many or most pages are garbled; see screen-capture fragments at http://www.fenichel.net/firefox/. I tried a new Firefox 64-bit, but it crashed on most pages.

My Firefox browser is up to date but I cannot log on to my Bank website. As soon I enter my Logon info I get logged out, however I can access the site using MS EDGE. This is a recurring problem. The website recognizes Firefox as an valid browser. Occasionally I have been able fix problem by clearing the browser Cookies/History but at present none of that works. Do you have any suggestions? My preferred browser is Firefox so this problem is frustrating.

I can't open firefox. message says "firefox quit unexpectedly" and it won't reload. I tried Force Quit. I tried restarting my computer. I tried completely shutting computer down and restarting. It happened very suddenly yesterday.

I keep getting this message every time I try to access a website I haven't accessed for a while : see attached graphic.

How can I get this to stop ?

Is it possible to import bookmarks for a different Mozilla account. Apparently I have 2 different Mozilla accounts. I had been using (I'll call it account #1) for quite a while, and recently subscribed to Mozilla VPN service. When I subscribed i gave it login info for "Account #2". How can I keep the logon info for the VPN, and get my bookmarks imported from the old (routinely used account #1) ? Or, can I change the VPN service to the old account (account #1)? I know how to add another device to the VPN account, but the "accounts" are on the same "device".

Almost every time that I open a new session of Firefox I get a message that there is a problem and it needs a refresh, which removes the extension I use all the time. Any ideas why this keeps happening over and over and what I might to resolve the problem?
