Is there a way to turn off tracking URL fragment insertion from the release notes page when clicking "What's New" in the Firefox update modal?

When I click "What's New" in this modal (see Screenshot 1), it loads the release notes page for my current version (although it really should load the release notes page for the version it wants me to upgrade to, but that's another issue altogether), and inserts a bunch of tracking URI fragments onto the URL (see Screenshot 2).

Is there a way (in Settings, about:config, Windows Registry, etc.) to disable that fragment insertion?

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? I had someone breaking into a number of my accounts. They used my account to sign into Firefox. And I got an account authorization code, but I'm afraid to use the email in case it is them getting more info!!

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

Please someone help me with this. My primary email has been breeched and because I was honest with the service --instead of just saying I need help resetting my password. Thay are asking me to send them a copy of my drivers' license and a photo "selfie" of myself to recover my account.

This is where I draw the line -- all invasions of privacy we have learned to live with but not this -- I could give them the transaction ID from my last Payment from Paypal period -- but that was not good enough. If I was being deceitfull I could easily provide the crdentials they ask for and it could all be fake; so I told them to get lost as I was paying for the Premium service anyway. I can contintue to use that as my ID but sonner or later someone is going to want to send me a code there and I can't retrieve it. Tonight they did not ask so I was able to get in here.

Everybody has a place to change your password but few have a place to change your sign-in ID. If I can get back into Firefox with a new ID and set 2 step validation I shouls be okay as faras the average user gors. The other option that I know of is to stary a new Firefox account. I alread have a lot of people and business's that I have to get my new email to.

Firefox stop from 2 days ago read Google Recaptcha, from nothing.., Dev version to.. I have the last 126.0b8 and both not working, I try disable Tracking Protection and still, clean everything... spinning forever...

I try my Firefox at mobile, that works. I need Firefox working on this. Cant use Chrome...

Until yesterday everything was fine. I was able to complete recaptcha. But when I tried searching something today, I couldn't do it because of the recaptcha. It was stuck on infinite loading. Every website I visited the problem was there. I tried fixing it from the tips I found in the forum here but nothing seems to work. I was frustrated. Then I tried Brave browser and it was working. Please help me fix this problem. Thank you.

When we log into our Yahoo email, there's a small triangle (see screen shot) next to the padlock on the address bar that says "connection not secure".

Not sure what to do to get rid of it.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

How to PROPERLY erase history? I mean, you erase HISTORY...click...there you go...?!?!?...but, what's happening? I erased HISTORY...ah, I erased it FROM the panel but, it WILL remained on the list that it shows on top of the icon (sic) ...someone suggested to go on the panel, select privacy, scroll to history, pass over "Never remember history...." (?) AND then you "click"... Clear...what is the point? clear means clear means clear from EVERYWHERE...sorry about the mess I wrote but I was frustrated

My provider has deleted my email account without prior notification. I have no second email adress registered, and also no access to my old email adress.

How can I change my primary email adress now?

I heard that the newest version of Firefox (which I have not upgraded to yet) has a feature that makes it easier to accidentally visit a website whose URL is on the clipboard. I googled to find out how to disable it, and the Featured Snippet said "go to about:config and change clipboard.autocopy to false." Sounded simple, so I did it, but subsequently found out that the article it quotes from is 10 years of age!

My first question, then, is: what does changing "clipboard.autocopy" to false do if it doesn't turn off the brand-new feature?

The second question is, how do I disable the new URL Paste Suggestion feature? Will setting "clipboard.autocopy" disable it? In particular, I want to make sure that the browser does not pre-load or pre-fetch the clipboard URL, and in fact, I wish to pop up a dialog box any time I do "paste and go." People often copy URLs from e-mails to research them before visiting them directly; jumping directly will increase the likelihood of visiting an imposter site.

I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?
