Reverting from Thunderbird 'Upgrade' 115.2.2 (32 Bit) Supernova

How do I correct my serious error (when tired) in allowing a Thunderbird 'Upgrade' 115.2.2 (32 Bit) Supernova to install on my Laptop (Windows 10 Home, 64 Bit). I failed to read the Release Notes by trusting Mozilla wouldn't issue such a drastic change without Warnings as it was not just an 'Upgrade'! It has screwed up my Set up, Folders etc., completely changed layout, can't find 'Write Message' tab etc. etc . etc.

The previous Thunderbird Version had many problems further introduced by 'Upgrades' but was at least still had continuity with earlier Versions with a functional MMI (man machine interface) instead of all the changes introduced with the 115.2.2, which in my opinion should be withdrawn completely. N.B My experience in Systems Control, as an Air Traffic Control Engineer, we would throw this out as not fit for purpose.

Help Please and explain how can I revert back to an Earlier Version?

I am very unhappy with this new Thunderbird update to 115.3.1. Everything being changed is killing my office's productivity. How can I roll back that update to the one before it.

Alternatively, is there any way to make this new update look and act like the previous version. I want all the control buttons back that used to be there.

Like many others, I'm seriously considering going back to v112 because I find SO many of the changes in 115 "change for the sake of change," "fixing" things that weren't broken, and breaking functionality that we thought was stable. Not keeping thins like the default font that was selected in the previous version before the upgrade is just plain annoying.

I use Thunderbird to manage many email accounts across different profiles. Not all accounts show up in unified folders, although all accounts are visible in the "All folders" view. Is there any way to "reset" anything to fix this? The Unified folders "Inbox" view in 112 was the best way to see all accounts that had new messages.

Hi,

I hope you are doing well. I am completely blind. I've been facing a problem with thunderbird. Whenever I try to sign into gmail, it says unable to log in, probably wrong configuration, username and password: This is in spite of the fact that I've used my correct password multiple times, I did a double check by signing in and out on the web multiple times to confirm. My email is muhammed3198@gmail.com I also checked my settings to see if imap was enabled, which it is. Please help and fix this issue as urgently as possible. I even selected configure manually to see if all the configuration settings were correct, and they seem to be, like the ports, the incoming and outcoming settings, etc. Please help. Best regards, Muhammad.

Hello,

till today's Tunderbird-Update it was possible:

- click on the Windows Notification - => directly brings you to this email

With new Thunderbird that's not possible any more. For me this is an absolute showstopper. :-(

Is there any way to change this and bring back the old behaviour?

Thanks a lot for any help!

Since yesterday, my Thunderbird upgraded to the latest 115.3.1 (64-bit) from the previous (perfectly working) 102.15.1 on macOS Ventura 13.5.2 (MacBook Air Retina, 13-inch, 2019).

The new Thunderbird 115.3.1 works for me only in Troubleshooting mode. Once in Troubleshooting mode, I removed all the Add-on, themes, dictionaries, language packages, etc., and restarted. I also removed two of the four email accounts I was accessing without a problem with the Th.102.15.1 version. I left only my primary email account (Outlook with IMAP) and Gmail, both working with security SSL/TLS and authentication OAuth2.

Still, when in normal mode, Thunderbird 115.3.1 gets stuck on 'Sending login information' and freezes.

I spent at least four hours between yesterday and today looking for solutions, but none is working.

Please, help me to fix the problem.

I have used Thunderbird massively for work since ever, and I'd like to stick with it, but this new release is giving me a hard time!

Thank you

I am not receiving my hotmail.com email now after this latest update to 115.2.2. This is a real problem, I get a popup window about Microsoft not being able to sign me in...? What the heck have you done to me with this update. I want to go back to my previous version, but I can never find any info on how to do that and I am not positive what version I had before this Supernova edition. This new one has caused me a big headache that I really don't have time for. Pease advise how to return to version 102.? ASAP

Well, either I get to roll back to the old UI, or the pre-Supernova Tbird, or I'm done with Tbird and done donating. This update is absolute shite and not being warned of the changes it would make was really, really shitty.

So how do I roll back, oh geniuses who developed this new shite Tbird?

Thunderbird changed screen view today, and it is a total disaster. Command links are a tiny unrecognizable icons. Is this a bad joke making our lives difficult, or perhaps you want us to leave Thunderbird and search for another email program?!

I tried to customize, but it did not fix anything. If the old well functioning version is no longer available, I will move to another email program.

Really disappointed
