The 100 release of Firefox turned half of my desktop web site shortcut icons to PDF icons. Why? And why only some? I have some URL shortcuts that I have no control over the icon (no change icon selection under properties). How do I get these changed back, other than redoing all the changed ones? Thanks, Wayne

When I type a term in the address bar or in any search engine...nothing. Links don't work from open pages. Typing a URL in the address bar doesn't work unless it's a site I've been to previously. It's very frustrating. Everything works fine in Chrome...and I hate Chrome.

So I updated today as requested and now all the sites I had previously checked to allow pop ups etc on are no longer functioning.

Why dod you not include copying these settings in your update,

What a massive waste of my time

On opening many websites I think they've created a new trick - dropping to the bottom of the page so you have to scoll through all pages to get to the top - is there a way of preventing this?

Instructions on changing primary email address not helpful-prompted to access Accounts but profile displayed would not let me edit my primary email address. When attempted to add secondary address was notified that code was sent to my old email address was was compromised & deleted by security of my carrier Want to add new email address & add secondary email account. I just downloaded the Firefox browser to my computer and need to configure my security settings in order to have access to a specific site. I have never used Firefox before.

My instructions say I must have version 1.0 or newer. I have version 100

The instructions then say to do the following:

Select Tools/Options/Advanced Icon/Encryption Tab Under Protocols select check boxes for Use SSL3.0 and Use TLS1.0 Select Privacy Icon In the Firefox will drop-down list box select Use custom settings for history Select options accept cookies from sites and Cleat history when Firefox closes De-select Remember search and form history and Remember what I have downloaded Click OK

I cannot find "Tools" Can you please tell me where to look for it and will the other items be under tools.

I need this help ASAP because I'm trying to fill out a form for a background check and security clearance that is due today.

Please tell me how to STOP the annoying Total Ad Blocker advertisements that continually show up on my screen when I am using Firefox. It's COMPLETELY ANNOYING!!!!!! I do not want to purchase this software now or later, but I will stop using Firefox if there isn't a fix for this issue. Yes, I am THAT frustrated. Thanks Steph

For the last few days audio in firefox does not work at all, i searched your site for known solutions, uninstalled and reinstalled the firefox but it is still the same, i get normal audio from every other app/game just not from firefox itself. The day it happened there were no updates i did (both on my pc or the firefox ) i was just reading and playing some music on youtube, the music stops i go to check if it is the youtube are you still there message but there is nothing i can see the video playing but no sound, i then reinstalled my audio drivers thinking it was the windows problem that i had few times now but still no results. I checked everything that i could from my side and followed help from your support pages, and i am now out of options so i would appreciate a fast reply.

Hello. This issue happens only with steamdb.info. The favicon on the tab is correct but the one on the bookmark is not. Why are they different? It also happens with a brand new profile or on another PC. I'm on Windows 10. Thank you for the help.

Firefox password support automatically interferred with an attempt to set up an account with a provider. How do I get that password and how do I prevent Firefox from automatically adding passwords without my permission?

I've been using firefox for so long, but now I'm having an issues where I'm not able to download anything. Whenever I click on either download or upload buttons, no window popups. How do i protect cookies from being deleted in mozilla firefox? I have one account that "doesn't recognize my device" when I enter my user name and password, and requires them to contact me with a code every time I try to log in...It is very annoying!!

Evening from Johannesburg. Please can someone advise as to when i will receive the verification email? I have tried numerous times and i am yet to get one email to action this. First attempt was 05th May. Another, today. I am still waiting and have checked all folders in the said email to use by yourselves.

Ever since Firefox updated to the new version I've been having constant crashes. I've tried restarting in Safe Mood which doesn't help. Pretty much Firefox will open, say it's not responding, and then by the time it looks like it's about to restore my tabs it crashes. I had to do a refresh and transferred the backup files from an older session which worked, but then it eventually crashed again. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and tried opening my older profile but it keeps happening. I really need to restore my previous session. There's nothing with my computer that seems to be causing it. I did have 2 windows open with about 8,000 tabs total which I'm sure could be part of the reason, but it never really had trouble before and only just started crashing since the update. Is there any way to fix this without starting over? I read that this is a bug that others have dealt with previously.

Some additional information. I'm on a 64-bit Windows 10 PC.
