Hi ! I´m using firefox 125.1(40778) on ios 17.4. Recently I faced a problem with the password manager of Firefox, as it doesn`t automatically fill in username and password on a site I visit on a regular basis. But when you click on the username the keyboard pops up and there I found the option to use the password manager of firefox. After re-authentification (fingerprint on my mobile) it opens the password manager and suggests the appropriate password. Clicking on it and you are in.

So the password manager still works although in a more complicated way because once you´re in the house you don´t need the door key anymore.

Issue summary: I lost over 100 sites listed in the Cookies and Site Data section when I simply removed a few websites in the Enhanced Tracking Protection section.

Under the Browser Privacy section, the two subheads, "Enhanced Tracking Protection" and "Cookies and Site Data" serve two distinct purposes—as I understand. Enhanced Tracking Protection will automatically add the URL of a webpage (that you currently have open) to the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen whenever you disable the shield in the search bar. This will turn off tracking for that website until turn you it back on. You can also manually add websites to the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen if you have mulitples to add. This whitelist will stay active until you delete them or click on the shield to turn it back on.

The Cookies and Site Data section further down, allows you to create a list of sites that you want to BLOCK, ALLOW FOR SESSION, or ALLOW cookies and site data to be used, and retained or not. This differs from the Enhanced Tracking Protection section.

Today, I wanted to delete one of the websites listed in the Enhanced Tracking Protection, and did so manually. But since there were only a couple listed (I rarely add to this screen), I simply clicked on "Remove All Websites" instead of "Remove Website." Unfortunately, when I went down to the Cookies and Site Data list (which I use all the time) to add a new URL today, my entire list was gone! I did not remove or enter anything in the Cookies and Site Data screen today, prior to using the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen.

As you can guess, I am sick because I had over 100 sites listed in the Cookies and Site Data section, and lost them all when I removed the few websites in the Enhanced Tracking Protection section. I don't know why or how this happened, but it is worth noting that I did just update Firefox this morning to vs 125.0.2 (from 124.0.2). My list is gone, but does anyone have a reason why it happened and is there a way to prevent that in the future? Or is it some kind of bug with the latest release or an earlier one. (I haven't opened the Enhanced Tracking Protection screen for a long time, so it could be from any past release.) Sorry I don't have more info than that. Any solutions would be appeciated.

If i open a link to redirect to an app, let’s say wikipedia, it will redirect fine. When i switch back to Firefox, the mobile version of the link i clicked on will be loaded instead of just displaying search engine search results where i clicked the wikipedia link. 

Another thing that happens is if i click on the link, still being wikipedia, get redirected to the app, then close out firefox, the next time i open firefox, it will redirect me back to the wikipedia app.

This issue I have been having is not just related to Wikipedia, this is for any other link that may open a related app I have installed on my phone.

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of searching and organizing bookmarks on the Android app using tags. I have recently organized years of Firefox bookmarks on the desktop app by tagging my bookmarks and removing them from folders. I would very much benefit from being able to use a tag-based workflow on mobile as I do on desktop. I notice this question was first raised about 10 years ago. I would like to know if there are any updates, or if perhaps there is an add-on that can fill this gap. Thank you!

I keep getting the red padlock but when I tap on it it says my connection is secure and when I tap on that it shows that I’m connected to HTTPS. What’s causing this? Is my connection exposed? When i shutdown and reopen the app the red padlock goes away but I'm confused as it says 'connection is secure' either way.

When I goto to YT Homepage it will play all the sounds of the downloaded video's when I hover with the mouse.

But I want to hear the sound of that video AFTER I selected that Video or clicked on the title.

I've been having problems with some websites not displaying content, others displaying error messages. So have been going through the Troubleshooting Mode and diagnostic process.

The cause is the MS CoPilot extension for Firefox.

Useful in other ways as I discovered several other extensions I don't need, hence have remained disabled.

I have a problem where if I install the packages needed to get hardware video decoding working in firefox it completely breaks YouTube playback. I can't find any info on the internet about the problem and I am having a lot of trouble with it. YouTube playback with libva-mesa-driver and libva-vdpau-driver will start stop restart start playing audio then crash with a this error every single time. I am at my wits end trying to figure out this problem and I would love help figuring out the problem I am using firefox-developer-edition as a note thanks Ozzy

I'm trying to use Thunderbird to access my work emails directly. They use Outlook Office 365, which I can use the webmail version of just fine, but a year ago they upgraded to Oauth2 and MFA and for the life of me I cannot get any version of Thunderbord to work with it anymore. I can send an email, but I can access any email on the server. Weirder still is the error console message suggest the program thinks I cancelled my password entry;

Hello, I did look for related posts but found nothing close enough to this so I thought I would create a post. I don't ever recall having this issue before v102 was introduced but now it happens once in a while but not always.

If I am in the inbox of my main mail account and choose to delete a message, it goes away and then reappears almost immediately. There is a box that shows up at the bottom right of the screen that says: The current operation on inbox did not succeed. The mail server for account (my main mail account is shown) responded: UID MOVE failed. This account is in Canada on the Bell Canada network so perhaps it is an ISP issue?

I have 3 mail accounts set up - all IMAP. If I close TB and reopen it, the message is gone as if it required the program to close in order to complete the delete request.

If anyone has experienced this and has any suggestions or tips, it will be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Mike

Version 125.2.0, Android 11 Settings: Firefox is default browser. 'Open links in apps' is set to 'Ask before opening'

Scenario:

• With the Swiss payment app 'Twint' I scan a QR-code for a payment
• This will open the embedded browser to show a payment site (sbs.twint.ch)
• After entering the amount and pressing submit, the flow is supposed to return to the Twint-app. However, here it just blocks and I cannot navigate anywhere or return to the app manually

Workaround:

• When the embedded view shows, in its menu, I can select 'Open in Firefox'
• Entering the amount there and pressing submit, the popup shows, asking me whether 'to open the link in app'. When I confirm, I am redirected back to the app and can confirm the payment there.

I suspect, the webview does not show the popup but wait for it to be confirmed and thus the flow is blocked. I have searched the forum but could not find anything matching. Still, is that a known issue?

I always want the address bar suggestions to start with my bookmarks. Is there a way to control the results? I remember there was something in about:config previously.

This has been happening for about a year now, I followed the guide and tried the troubleshoot mode and my tabs still crashes.

Can anyone help me read the crash reports and find the cause or common issue?

I added the Save to Pocket (mini) extension to Firefox 125.0.2 today. When I look at the collection of articles I've saved to Pocket (I've been using Pocket for years) in the browser, I only see 8 articles. But when I open Pocket on my iPhone and iPad, the list of articles I've saved is much more longer (an estimate would be between 50 and 75 articles saved to Pocket). I haven't found any articles in Mozilla support to help me solve this. Thanks

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

I am unable to get printing to work correctly using Firefox with Epson POS TM-T20 thermal printers we have a work.

We're currently running Firefox on Debian 12. I've tried both the ESR version that comes with the Debian repository and the latest Firefox as a flatpak.

When printing to the receipt printer, the only thing that is printed is the left-hand most part of the logo and a little part of the text and this occurs towards the right-hand side of the paper. I've changing all of the settings, resetting the settings for the print in about:config, but nothing seems to work.

I'd love to get this working so that staff could use Firefox. I'm attaching an image of what the print job looks like and a screenshot of what the print-preview shows.

Using 115.10.1 and POP on Windows 10 Pro (v. 22H2) with just the Windows built-in virus protection enabled (but App or Browser Control is disabled). Platform seems stable, no evidence of nefarious services noted in task manager.

Realized the emails in InBox from a couple of days ago (and going back decades) were blank or had mismatched headers to content. Figured an index problem. Ran the Repair under 'InBox' folder Properties, and only a few of the most recent emails remain - all duplicates of which I had sorted into other folders.

All the other folders are fine - just my InBox got wiped! Looked in the Thunderbird folder under profiles and saw the above captioned with a time-stamp that captures the approximate time this went down - occum's razor. I did not initiate any update to Thunderbird.

Walking on eggshells and very nervous, we're talking thousands of emails, what is the recommended recovery of the InBox (after I attempt to backup what I have left). Thanks!
