How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

Problem with using space bar when trying to post replies on YT or other sites. Can key text, but space bar does not work. On Google search page, can get only one space between words. Tried 2 different keyboards w/same problem. Doesn't seem to happen on Chrome or Safari. Re-installed Firefox with same results. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

Windows 10. Thunderbird 115.8.0 While trying to figure out why my taskbar badge says I have 99+ unread emails (for the record, I only have 7), I hovered over the tray icon, and it says I have over 4 billion (with a B!) unread emails. That's not even possible with the email address I'm using it for. Why would this be like this, and how do I get it to be accurate?

I send .doc and .pdf files to my customers. When creating the outgoing email message and attach a file, I used to be able to see the file in the preview pane. I can no longer see the preview. Please help. This feature does work for jpg, tiff, and other image files.

When I press the pause button on my keyboard, it doesn't stop the YouTube video like it used to. I'm not sure why it stopped working. I've checked the key, and it works fine in Chrome.

I've gone into "sort-by" and tried enabling threading. I've tried checking the unthreaded box. Group job related email still just disappears. I can't find received group email in the trash or in the junk. I can't find any evidence in Thunderbird that the group email was received. If I go to a different email tool, there it is. Thunderbird is broken. If I scroll back in time and accidentally scroll past the date of the first group email, there it is. I can't be spending all day scrolling through months to years worth of email just to find out I got a group email from someone today. This is totally unreliable way to find an urgent work email.

I've been trying to connect to discord for a while, left it on for 2 hours and hasnt loaded. when i opened the console log, all it said was "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://gateway.discord.gg/?encoding=json&v=9&compress=zlib-stream" all over. Please help.

Hi, after upgrading the programs to version 115.10.1 after restarting, all folders in the folder panel disappeared. I still have all accounts visible in the account settings. I attach a screenshot.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I am unable to copy text and paste from body of email in Thunderbird. I was able to in past versions. When I right click after highlighting text all options appear but does NOT allow to copy anything.

I keep hitting sites where menus and selection boxes turn into unreadable Wing Dings? On W11 and cleared and rest the font cache in Windows and still repeatedly seeing the issue?

I deleted the old user names and passwords associated with my bank account. Now I can no longer login to my bank acct using Firefox. Only with another browser.

I tried to uninstall then reinstall Firefox but the problem continues. What to do now to login to my bank account?

I can no longer move an email from unified to a specific folder without it bouncing back. If move it to a folder it appears there and If I then delete it from unified, it deletes the email in the folder. Only just started happening. What I want is to be able to move the email to a folder, in order to keep the amount of emails in unified to a manageable level.

I have just set up a new Linux Mint desktop and configured TB for my btinternet email account.

Looking at the address book, all the contacts that have appeared in it, contain "TimeStamp+a series of numbers" before the @ sign of every address.

In the btinternet account contacts, the addresses are as you would expect them to be, without the extra timestamp+number.

Is there a way of getting rid of that, or do I have to edit every address?

tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.

I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. I will attach some pictures that might help you solve the problem. and you can also approach to my full-recorded firefox profiler data

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I am on a Mac running Sonoma.

I have seen numerous posts on this forum involving the "Leave Messages on Server" option in the server portion of the Account settings. Many of these posts include responders stating that this option does not apply to POP servers.

If this is correct, why does Thunderbird even include this setting for an account that is explicitly designated as a POP server/account? This is an invitation to confusion and misunderstanding; I have been a victim of this. It seems to me to be a no-brainer to change the code to remove this option from these POP accounts.
