I exported my profile to an external drive, then reset my Windows 11 PC. The resulting file is a zip file. When I import, the import starts, then stalls and gives an error. The error log is incomprehensible to me. How can I not lose my local folders and messages? I tried unzipping and importing that folder, but another error. I need help! Ideas? Thanks.

Dear Team After Updating from 102.15.1 (32Bit) to 115.28.0 (32Bit) I can not connect to the provider "pop.hispeed.ch" anymore. Ping pop.hispeed.ch (on CMD) shows normal raction of beeing reachable with a "reply from xxxx.". I am on Windows 7 SP1. I have checked several times all setting POP and SMTP, switched off Firewall, uninstalled virus scanner, and and and many more (all knowledge found on internet..). Pressing the "Get Message" button in the upper menue bar shows no raction when pressed. The icon "Get Message" on the left side of the button "+ New Message" results in a none moving blue status bar at the right bottom of the window. After a while with the message "timed out.. ".In the settings "Config Editor.." the values of "mailnews.tcptimeout" are set to "300", and "true". I am using TB since donkey years with many many eMails. Are the lost? Thunderbird freezes/hangs on restart (mac OS 15.4), including in safe mode. I've updated to 137.0.2 from 129 and the same problem occurs. It only displays "Looking up gmail.com" and I get the spinning disk of doom and have to do a force quit…

for some time now I can't use Grok(x.com) in Firefox(137.0.1 (64-Bit)) anymore. "Something went wrong" is always the answer.

Troubleshooting Mode doesn't help. Disabling any site restrictions, neither.

Any one else? Any ideas?

Firefox now requires me to use a passkey to log in to YouTube. I don't have (or want) a passkey. My computer locks up solid, and I have to reboot when I cancel the request for a passkey. I can log in to YouTube on my Samsung S10+ tablet and S25 phone without problems. This problem only occurs on my Windows 10 computer. It is impossible to bypass this issue.

Sometimes, when I want to use the Take a Screenshot function (on my toolbar) to save a long section of a page, after selecting what I want and scrolling down to the Download button, the process positions the page's floating 'identification' bar across the the middle of the picture. Is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut to trigger the download command after making the selection, without the need to scroll down to see the button? This would greatly simplify the process. In some limited searching and testing, I haven't found anything that accomplishes this.

I have attached a screenshot of a page to serve as an example of how the bar is superimposed.

FWIW, this system is still running Windows 7, Firefox 115.22.0 esr.

I received this message from ATT whenever I try opening my email: "Something's gone wrong. You may be having trouble with your connection. Connecting your device to WiFi could help fix the issue or try later again." However, I can get into my email through Chrome with no problem so I'm able to continue working. Would uninstalling then reinstalling Firefox help without creating more problems? I would like to continue with Firefox if possible. I have Windows11. Thank you.

For some months now when I click on a video that is on a news website, such as The Guardian or The BBC for example, the video screen goes black and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

 Since some days I have the problem that all files I download from outlook are accompanied by a preceding UTF-8 in the file name. This is not the case for e.g. google chrome. Can I fix this problem by myself, or is it a general problem of firefox 128.9esr (64-bit)?

My settings have this right at the top, but I am the "organizer." I am the one that set things up on my oldest laptop. When I updated the laptop with a new one, I had that message, but it was okay at that point. But now - new laptop, and I want the control back. Please guide me in how to do that.

Windows 11 Thunderbird 137.0.1

ARRRGGGH! I've been using Thunderbird for over 20 years and it's doing something new and BAD:

Every time I open it since yesterday, it keeps adding additional inboxes (7), drafts boxes (3), sent boxes (2) and junk boxes (6) and trash boxes (2). I don't know how to get rid of all of the extra folders. My profile is backed up, I just tried deleting the program and installing the latest version and it opened the profile (I thought it'd open a default profile and then I could reinstall the "real" profile). What's happening and how can I fix it? No, this does not have anything to do with multiple email accounts and I haven't added any new ones. Please help!

Hi. I have followed the instructions on the Mozilla site above however this does not work. The Enterprise Roots keep reloading after a while.

Any idea how to stop this happening?

I have read many articles on this but nothing works. The E Roots will in initially not reload but eventually after a day or three its back.

I can no longer log into twitch, it says my browser isn't supported.

Before you say anything: I have the latest version of Firefox, I have disabled all addons, cleared all cache and cookies, even tried a complete, clean re-install. I can log-in in other browsers, just not in Firefox. I have disabled enhanced tracking protection as well, didn't work.

Does anyone have an idea?

I can't download ANYTHING on Firefox I've been tempted to switch to Chrome again because of this like why can I not download I don't THINK I did anything wrong either and it's really becoming frustrating I'm sorry

Recently I have noticed 'Your browser is being managed by your organization. - That being ImportEnterpriseRoots' appearing in settings. I have seen this mentioned by others but as of yet I cannot see if it has been sorted yet. I have uninstalled and it went away, but it has since returned the following day. I Do not have any other anti-virus on this laptop other than Windows Defender so it cannot be that. I will not be using Firefox as default until this is gone, or at the very least know that its safe.

Yesterday, April 5, 2025, my Firefox started displaying this message for every search typed in the browser:

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic on your computer network. This page verifies that it is really you, and not a robot, sending the requests. Why did this happen?"

I tried a few solutions: I cleared the cache, restored Firefox, reinstalled Firefox, restarted the internet modem, reset the computer's DNS using the ipconfig/flushdns command, scanned for malware with Windows Defender, and scanned for viruses and malware with Kaspersky, but the problem persists, both in the normal tab and in the private tab.

I contacted my internet provider, and they said there is no problem on their side.

In Firefox, I always use the default search engine "Google".

When I change the search engine to "Bing", the problem does not occur.

The problem does not occur in the Google Chrome browser, only in Firefox.

I am using Firefox 115.22.0esr (64-bit), Windows 7 operating system and internet connection via network cable. I only have one computer connected and I don't use VPN.

I get a reasonable number of TEAMS & Zoom invites by email into my Firefox account.

I have 2 questions ...

1. Can I add Google Calendar to FireFox Calendars ..... or vice versa ... so I can add an invite to FireFox calendar and have it show in Google Calendar.

2. Currently if the invite includes an .ics file I can import that into Google Calendar ..... clunky, but works. However many invites do not include an .ics file ..... as the invfite has arrived in FireFox .... can that generate an .ics file ?

I need to use Google Calendar as it provides cross platform support of multiple calendars.
