I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. I restarted my computer and when I booted Firefox up it looked completely different. I'm assuming they updated, but updates never impacted my settings before and in this case none of my sessions or history is left.

I logged in to my Mozilla account and that recovered my extensions, though not my toolbar settings.

The real issue is that all of my tabs and windows are gone. In History, "Recently closed windows" is greyed out and Recently closed tabs shows nothing but what's been opened since I restarted.

Is there any way to recover my history?

Resolved: Somehow a blank profile had been set as the default.

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?

After a update my browser was running very slow, I'm not sure what I did but my whole browser, including history and bookmarks and add ons reverted back years. But I have a whole folder of Old Firefox Data which is from today.

How do I get this back on there and get everything back to normal?

I am using Firefox 119.0.1 under Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693

I had the page open in Firefox before the owner corrected the typo.

Immediately after the correction was online, all other browsers displayed the corrected version. But even now, hours later, after many resets by "Reload Tab", the Firefox tab still displays the typo-version.

I consider this to be a malfunction. "Reload tab" should bypass all caches, and reload the whole page directly from its server. - Is this a known bug? - If "Reload Tab" does not go to the source bypassing all caches, what doe it do? - Is there a workaround?

My emails are threading up, even ones that have nothing to do with each other. I've tried 'collapsing threads' in the 'view' menu, but it doesn't seem to help. With so much threading going on, I can't even find some of the new emails that I am alerted to.

For the last few days the ebay website is very slow when I open it. If I switch to Chrome, ebay's website loads okay. All other websites seem to load through Firefox with no problem. Any ideas???

My Windows Task Scheduler contains an entry called "Firefox Default Browser Agent". If I delete it, it returns. If I disable it, it re-enables itself. Can't be modified either. How do I turn it off permanently?

I already have telemetry and automatic updates both turned off.

When I visit the webpages of the Swiss Federal Post Service

then the scroll bar will not be displayed even though the page is longer than what can be displayed on my screen. As soon as I return to another URL the scroll bar is visible again when needed.

Does anybody know what I can have a scroll bar also for this webpage?

Hello, when initiating a request for conditional mediation with webauthn I get the following error:

TypeError: 'conditional' (value of mediation) is not a valid value for enumeration CredentialMediationRequirement.

However when asking whether it's available with `await window.PublicKeyCredential.isConditionalMediationAvailable()` it does return true. Is this a bug?

All downloads "fail" using Firefox. I have tried many things. Some on the internet says the fix is difficult. Other browsers have no issues with downloads. I go to them when I need to download something. I like Firefox, but if I can't resolve this issue, I may have to go to another browser. Help.

In the Microsoft Store there are all these updates for video extensions like "AV1 Video Extension". Should I be doing these updates? Do they make any difference to streaming video on the Firefox Browser?
