supernova unified toolbar button colors

I currently use: <profile>\chrome\userChrome.css to make various buttons stand out for some elderly users that I support. For example: button-archive:hov… (funda kabanzi)

I currently use: 

  <profile>\chrome\userChrome.css

to make various buttons stand out for some elderly users that I support. For example:

  1. button-archive:hover { 
  border: 2px dashed black !important;

}

  1. button-archive,
  2. hdrArchiveButton { 
  background-image: none !important;
  background-color: #66ff66 !important;

}

I can't figure out how to do this with Supernova (115+). Thanks.

How to get rid of this almost-empty useless stripe above menu bar?

I tried "Customize..." but looks like it doesn't allow to customize anymore, toolbar buttons editing only.
