Been on Thunderbird for about 3 weeks, then didn't open for about a week. Version 115.6.1. When I try to get messages, it gets stuck at downloading 1 of 684, eventually quits. How to fix?

I need to generate notices for the sender of all incoming email messages. I've been searching and trying now for several days without success. Is there a method to export all the messages for a folder to a readable file on a local disk so it can be read with a custom program? I'm hoping this is something that is available but if so I cannot find where. Thanks in advance for any ideas/pointers/instructions.

OK my facebook was hacked I had to make a new one threw business and in just got it well some one changed my password and email I can put my phone number in and it finds my account but I can't get in because when they send the code it gos tonthe wrong email

I can't find this info anywhere. I had three email addresses. I made several subfolders for saving certain emails under the LOCAL folder. Then I added a couple new emails. All those newer emails addresses are below my local folder (which contains lots of subfolders.) I would just like to move UP my email folders so they are all in a line and I can check all the emails while the LOCAL folder and its subfolders is at the bottom of the list. Does this make sense? I have tried moving it and nothing happens. I guess the word I'm looking for is REORDER. I want to reorder my folders. Thank you. (I collapsed everything to make it easier to see in the picture.)

Clearing the "Recent" list when attempting to move emails used to be simple. Go to your profile while Thunderbird is NOT running and delete the panacea.dat file. It's no longer there. The only threads in the support forum suggest the same thing, but the threads are EIGHT years old. Where is the list of entries for the "Recents" folder located and how do I reset it. I have more than 20 entries, most of which I've used only ONCE. How to I clear this mess?

Mozilla has suddenly stopped saving emails with attachments to the Sent box. Emails without attachments are being saved to the Sent box as usual. Could you suggest how to reset the system to allow emails with attachments to be also saved?

how do i review my previous questions on the forum? I am not seeing any responses to my questions and wondering if it is me. for example light screen and dark screen, how do i adjust it?

This is apparently an unusual thing, I've searched for months and found no mention. Most contacts in my address books receive, forward, reply to emails in Thunderbird as you'd expect. There is one frequent contact, and possibly only one contact, person in my address books with whom this strange thing happens. And it happens not all the time, but frequently. A message will arrive with the header showing from 'Bob' and to 'Me'. As you'd expect. When I hit 'reply', the blank response message is created from 'Bob' to 'Me'. Opposite of what it should. Naturally, I assume Thunderbird is doing what it always does and I don't notice that, going straight to the reply. Until my reply hits my inbox seconds later, as being from 'Bob' to 'Me' and is not saved in the Sent folder. Usually I just forward that received mail to 'Bob', who at first got confused that I'm forwarding my own response. It seems to happen in batches, but then another message from 'Bob' to 'Me' will reply normally from 'Me' to 'Bob'. Always the same accounts. Both accounts are gmail, if that matters.

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

You search for a word using Control+F like any other program. It's highlighted on the page if it's there. Or you would think so. But no. Why does Firefox so often say it found a word when you can clearly see it's not there on the page? Nothing is highlighted. It even gives you the number of results on the Find bar. Some may be there but others are not. This has been like this for years. Why?

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. As an example, I might order a flashlight from a vendor. I would have received an order confirmation by email, and then might get another message when it is delivered. But depending on the vendor's practices, these messages might not say "flashlight." A year later, suppose I want to know where I ordered the flashlight. If the messages refer to an order number but do not say "flashlight", I don't have a simple way to find this out. What I would like to do, when I archive the message (or subsequently), is to edit the body (or subject) to include this keyword. Is there any straightforward way to do this in Thunderbird? Thanks for any advice.
