Why does my Firefox browser only display the history of the last four months without deleting it. How do I find the history of Firefox four months ago? When I clicked on Manage History, I found a recovery option. But when I click the time period I want to restore, it shows that the operation will overwrite my current bookmark with the backup bookmark. When I click Confirm, I did not find the overwritten bookmark. I feel confused. Can you help me? Thank you.

Mobile bookmarks used to sync. Haven't lately (month or more...) I just signed out, unconnected device, synced and still mobile bookmarks are not updated on computer. Any ideas? Thanks

Is there a method to turn off the listing on Recent Bookmarks in Firefox for iOs?

I just updated to iOS 14.5 and installed Firefox and synced up my bookmarks and logins.

I noticed this long list of "Recent Bookmarks" and thought "What is this?! I haven't even used the browser yet." So I began deleting them all. Then I realize that it was deleting the actual bookmarks!!!

And then it just repopulated the list with more bookmarks...some of which I can't remember when I list visited.

This is an egregiously ill-conceived and executed feature.

I am not able to see any requirement for a listing of bookmarks based (apparently) on their date of their creation. This in no way represents or aids user activity or browsing priorities.

It either should be removed or the option provided to disable it.

Or, change it to a list of recently visited sites. This I would much prefer over the "Top Sites" implementation.

As with most mobile browsers, you have to do multiple taps through abstruse menus to clear the browser of history/private data.

Dolphin Browser was the only browser that had the carried over the common sense practice of including the browser option to automatically "Delete Private Data on Shutdown".

Why did this security option disappear with mobile browsers?

I'd like to kindly request it's return. (And no, I don't wish to use Private Browsing mode...)

So, I’ve been having a problem with my Firefox recently. Out of the blue, it decided that it wasn’t going to let me watch fullscreen videos. YouTube Disney+, you name it. Everytime I try to enter fullscreen on YouTube, it’ll try to, the screen will be just black and it’ll exit itself out of fullscreen and tell me “Fullscreen is Unavailable.” I’m not sure how this is happening.

What I’ve tried to do to resolve this problem, to no avail:

-I tried clearing cookies and cache of each website. No success.

-I tried reinstalling the browser completely. No success there.

-I went to about:config and made sure the fullscreen api’s were enabled. They were enabled as they should be.

-Checked website permissions.

What exactly is going on? I’m a little lost here. If it helps, I’m using the latest version of Firefox on MacOS.

In my Firefox preferences my homepage search engine is Bing. However, lately when I search from a tab, it switches over to Google. How can I fix this, please? Thanks!

Hello, my name is Jesse. In the past (a year or two ago) there was a way to choose which camera was used (front or rear facing) on a phone when allowing camera access to a website when access was requested. Now, when I get that prompt, it automatically activates the front camera without giving me an option of which to choose (which it use to). My front camera is damaged by water damage and so I need to allow access to the rear facing camera. This use to work but disappeared when an update in the past was released. I can confirm this update effected this functionality in both android and iPhones.

Unable to Sync. HELP 1. MacBook syncing is ON, but iPhone doesn’t recognize new Firefox password so I cannot sync via email. 2. When I use scan option, I do not receive a code on my MacBook. 3.  When I attempted to scan two or three weeks ago  (the beginning of my sync mission), The code appeared but the sync failed. Instead of code, I got the spinning wheel. Is the font that my os is using for firefox corrupt? Or is this some kind of malware? The font is scrambled. It happens often. I like firefox and dont want to go back to Chrome. HELP! Thank you :)

Since FireFox has been upgraded (two newer versions), my online banking app no longer functions on my iMac (iOS 11.3.1). It works on my laptop with same version. It does work with Safari. Any suggestions??

Firefox for both iPad and Mac autofill had been working with 1Password since forever. I wanted to clear cookies so went to Settings => Data Management on the iPad and cleared ALL Private Data. Mistake. Since then, 1PW autofill on the iPad hasn’t worked with Firefox for any site I have tried them on. (It could be, of course, that the resetting of private data just before the failure was only a coincidence.)

Safari and 1PW still autofill properly on the iPad (and iMac). Firefox autofills properly from 1PW on the Mac. The problem is specific to Firefox on the iPad. All apps and OSes are at the latest levels. I have gone over all the settings for Firefox and 1PW and they look correct to me. I have done everything I can think of to reset the Firefox/1PW interface — such as closing and reopening apps, rebooting the iPad — short of uninstalling and reloading the apps.

My question is, how can I recover the Firefox 1PW interface?
