I've been using Firefox browser for over a decade to do university business (e.g., submit grades, internal proposal review processing and approval, etc.). But since December, I am having catastrophic failures. Sometimes with an error message, sometimes just getting no response at all when submitting information in a browser-based university application. And yet, I can complete those functions when I immediately go to Chrome (once I remember that that might be a problem). I really don't want to use Chrome. Is there a change in Firefox (including something which I can change some settings in my browser to counteract), or a change in our university's software making Firefox incompatible? One returned error today was "Request Header Fields Too Large. The server refused this request because the request header fields are too large." [PS, I had to type this all over when I tried to share data with you about my system -- I had to click on "troubleshoot" information, which lost all the data I had previously entered... Sigh....]

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF FIREFOX'S "HELP" PAGES CONSTANTLY REDIRECTING ME TO YET ANOTHER PAGE.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE OR REASON FOR MOZILLA'S FAILURE TO PROVIDE ACTUAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM AN EMPLOYEE.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR FORCING PEOPLE TO USE SOME KIND OF RIDICULOUS FORUM TO ASK QUESTIONS FROM OTHER USERS INSTEAD OF AN ACTUAL EMPLOYEE.

WHERE IS THE HELP AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT???? WHERE IS THE SUPPOSED FEEDBACK PAGE??? HOW DOES A PERSON ACTUALLY CONTACT FIREFOX???? WHAT'S THE PHONE NUMBER FOR MOZILLA OR FIREFOX??? THIS WEBSITE AND "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

OS version: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (jammy), 64-bit (amd64, x86_64). Firefox version: 110.0 (64-bit) (NOTE: the issue was noticed with version 109.0, too)

Firefox package was installed on Ubuntu through 'APT', using the Mozilla Team repository (https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/mozillateam/ppa/ubuntu/). It caught my attention that an excessive amount of Firefox related 'DENIED' AppArmor log messages is generated during the browser activity.

According to messages, Firefox is occasionally denied read access to '/sys/devices/' area and read/write access to 'oom_score_adj' target in '/proc/'. Could somebody clarify why would that access be required for regular browser operations? I'm a bit puzzled as I haven't noticed anything similar with the older Ubuntu and Firefox versions. A complete suppression of those messages is also an option as long as there's no negative impact on application's performance.

I already posted this question to Ubuntu forum but seems like nobody there could provide an explanation. I'd appreciate any input or hint.

If I set my tab title bar height to 30px in my userChrome.css the tab titles are no longer centered (top to bottom) on the tab bar. The top padding on the tab titles needs to be reduced by at least 3px and I would be grateful for a code snippet that does so.

Summary Reset a site or domain to be no longer associated with a Container

I accidentally assigned my search-engine domain to a container. As a result every single search I perform from the URL bar asks if I'd like to open it in the assigned container instead. I'll select 'Remember my decision, open in current tab' (the current tab being the base no-container Firefox user). Unfortunately this does nothing.

I've searched through the settings and options and I've found no option to get an overview of the domain configurations or to reset a certain site. I've read suggestions online to delete the container, but this isn't an acceptable approach to the problem.

Hi Mozilla, I subscribe to the videopass on motogp.com. I recently went on to renew my subscription but couldn't proceed because of the following message. "Sorry, we are unable to proceed with your purchase as we have detected that the billing address does not match your location" My profile location is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", but my billing location is "United Kingdom". They are apparently two different locations according to the website. I must add, these locations are from a dropdown menu so I cannot change them. I emailed motogp and their tech people reckon either my browser (Firefox) or my internet provider (Sky) could be having a conflict with the payment platform. What do you think? Personally, I think It's the website's problem but any advice would be helpful. This is the first time I have tried to renew, usually I just let it auto-renew. Regards,

whenever I long press on an image I'd like to save, nearby text gets higghlited instead and I'm not offered the usual pop-up window - in Google search for example, text saying 'realted images' gets higghlited

Since updating to the latest version of Firefox, I can't see anything displayed on the Youtube website.

When I open a tab and navigate to Youtube, I can see faint grey placeolders in the background, but no images or text (screenshot attached).

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hello, I have two questions about private windows.

First, on the Home tab it says: "Firefox clears your search and browsing history when you close all private windows"

but what happens if Firefox crashes during a private window session? Will some remnants of your activity remain in some files, as Firefox did not have the chance to clear data as it normally would when closed gracefully?

Second question, when in private mode, does Firefox write data to either favicons.sqlite or places.sqlite (even if only temporarily)?

for some reason i cannot download images on firefox android on google. this feature works on other search engines and even on google on other browsers. the download button is gonna and nothing is shown when i hold on the image on google

It only happens in Firefox. I can't open any website on Firefox , even google.com . Despite have used Firefox for many years, I am still not completely clear on why there are two separate areas for cookie settings, and how everything works together. In Cookies and Site Data: I check Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. In Manage Exceptions, the listed domains I choose will not be deleted, but all other domains will. Correct? In History: I uncheck Always use private browsing mode, and I check Clear History when Firefox closes. In the Clear Recent History box, I uncheck Cookies and Site Settings. Question: Will be above choices in both areas get me where I want to be, which is retaining cookies for chosen protected sites, while deleting cookies for all others whenever Firefox is closed? If this is where a lot of people want to be, why are these choices presented in such a complicated way? If relevant, under Enhanced Tracking Protection I choose Custom, and leave all the boxes checked. The sites I choose to use seem to perform well with this option. Is this Security & Privacy area in Settings in need of reworking for ease and clarity?

I recently switched over to using an SSD, and I am trying to do everything I can to prevent unnecessary writing to that drive. I've already found instructions for moving the location of Firefox's Cache files to my secondary HDD, but I haven't been able to do the same for Cookies; they're still being stored on my C: drive, in the AppData folder.

Is it possible to change the path that Firefox uses to store Cookies? If it is possible, how?

What is the fix for solving the issue of having to scroll back down through the same bookmarks in a folder, instead of the folder holding its place from where you were working? This is ridiculous.

Like the title states - now have to scroll back down through all the bookmarks in a folder because it no longer holds its place. This is a great time waster.

Thought I would try to save some time by opening bookmarks in new tabs, but it then switches to the new tab immediately and I still have to scroll back through the same folder to open the next bookmark.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Have to keep scrolling bookmarks folders from the top instead of being able to pick up where I left off LIKE IT USED TO BE.

Also, instead of being able to right click and open bookmarks in new tabs to try and speed things up, it immediately switches to the new tab, which means having to scroll from the top of the folder AGAIN anyway. And yes, I'm well aware of the "switch to it immediately" option in the settings menu, and that box is UNCHECKED in my settings.

I'm not the only one complaining about this time waster, yet no replies from support on any of the threads.
