Hi all,

When I try to add google calendar, it doesn't request for authentication after i put the e-mail address.

Environment: - OS: Fedora 37 - Thunderbird: 102.4.1 (64-bit)

Steps to reproduce: 1. File, New Calendar and then select Google Calendar (image GoogleCalendar_Integration1.png). 2. After entering e-mail (image GoogleCalendar_Integration2.png) 3. It seems like it is asking for username and password but it is not showing (image GoogleCalendar_Integration3.png).

What am I doing wrong? -- Regards, Mauro Chan Son Suleimane

I need to sync TB with Outlook.com calendar. But tbsync will not work with TB 102.0b8. Apparently hasn't been updated as yet. I can always back up to the previous version of TB, but I'm afraid I will lose features in this new version. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, this particular PC of mine is running Windows 8.1 due to the needs of a particular business application I use.

Hi guys.

I have a small problem that I'm trying to solve. I'm in Linux, but unfortunately, I still have to work with MS outlook, in VMWare, because Thunderbird have a lack of functionalities comparing to MS outlook, and I cannot live without these functionalities. I manage over 100 complex calendar notes per day, with attachments (e-mail attached, images, and other calendar notes attached).

The following functions could increase the functionality of thunderbird if they were implemented: - Select several notes at the same time, to delete them, or to Drag and drop to another hour or another day, just by releasing the notes in the day using the side calendar (that has the number of the days) or releasing the notes on the day visualizer; - Select several non contiguous days using the function key CTRL (example, day 3, 8 and 15), to view them side by side, and/or to drag and drop calendar notes from one day to another; - Ability to add attachments to calendar notes.

I'm really looking for a management of the calendar, similar to Microsoft Outlook, but I don't want Microsoft, I want open source.

Do you guys know if there are plans to implement these functions in any near future?

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if I am using the correct verbage but here goes: When I launch Thunderbird a panel opens in the upper left with all events that are in the past and not yet dismissed and all events for the current day that are not dismissed. I was in a hurry and instead of minimizing it I clicked the red x in the right upper corner. Now it does not dislay on startup and I cannot find a way to get it back since it has been there since I installed Thunderbird. I believe the correct name is Event Preview Pane but not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a way where my entries and invites from my work email and calendar, to be viewable when I am out of the office, on my iPhone. I know there is a way to link calendar entries from Gmail and iCal to be viewable on Thunderbird. But trying to find a way where my Thunderbird entries, can be viewed away from my desktop.

If this even possible?

Dear all, is there an option to have Thunderbird sync network calendars once upon start? I have a couple of large network calendars and repetitive syncing causes performance problems, but on the other hand, if I set sync to Manual, Thurderbird does not sync upon start and shows only the events that had been cached locally (off-line) in the past, but not any events meanwhile added to the network calendar by other clients. Thus, I either have to remember to manually sync once every calendar after each program start, or I have to activet syncing every xx minutes, which causes the programm to periodically freeze for some time (during syncing). Is there any good solution to this? Is there maybe an option in the config editor "sync upon start"? Thank you very much.

The attached image shows a Month view after selecting "Today" (which is the 10th). There is a random day that has a colored frame around it, and today's day has only the date # colored. Why doesn't the frame move to Today's date?

Incidentally, the Multiweek view seems to work properly, selecting "Today" will move the frame to that day.

I use Calendly.com for scheduling my meetings. I'll receive a meeting confirmation email when someone books, and linked from that email is an .ics file I can import to Thunderbird calendar. This all works fine except that meetings imported don't respect the default reminder setting. No reminder is set at all for these meetings - I have to edit each event manually to append the reminder to match what I have saved in the Reminder Defaults section of Settings (15 mins).

Meetings added to my calendar in other ways (i.e. an invitation direct to my inbox) respect and apply the 15min default. This places the blame on Calendly so I looked at the .ics files I'm getting from there and find no TRIGGER reference at all. I imported an unrelated sample .ics file with the TRIGGER explicitly defined and this works, but in the absence of a TRIGGER reference in the Calendly files, my expectation is that the default reminder time would be applied.

Any advice on what may be happening?

Thanks

Last month, my caldav accounts all stopped syncing. I get a n error stating (NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_HOST). I am using TBsync, and have multiple calendars set up for sharing on our webhost, and all worked perfectly for about the last year. I have tried up-dating Thunderbird, reverting to an older copy of Thunderbird, running Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode, un-loading and re-loading the extensions, performing a system restore on my PC to a date before the trouble started, basically everything I could think of. Below is a portion of the error message I find in the developer tools error reporting:

[calCachedCalendar] replay action failed: <unknown>, uri=https://mail

Can you help troubleshoot this issue? We use Thunderbird on our department for crew scheduling, and are suffering without this feature being operational. Thank you, JMB

I am using Thunderbird on two Linux machines plus K9 on Android and I'm delighted with the way they all work well accessing the same email account.

When it comes to calendar functionality, the two instances of Thunderbird work well together courtesy of CalDav hosted by my web/email hosting company. On Android, I have a gap. I haven't had a working calendar on my phone since I chose to stop adding entries into Google Calendar.

I have two questions: 1) Does anybody know if Thunderbird for Android will have CalDav calendar functionality ? 2) Can anybody recommend a simple Open Source Android calendar app to fill what is hopefully a temporary gap ?

Thank you

Hi, When creating an event in the calendar view, I get my timezone displayed (Europe/Paris), I set my starting and ending time and save.

On event display in the calendar, I immediately notice that the time is off by 1h. On viewing the details, the right time is displayed but on 'Europe/Dublin' timezone. Changing it back doesn't fix the time, timezone always change after save.

I took a look at my settings, tried to use "use system timezone" (= Europe/Paris) of forced it to Europe/Paris, even checked the config editor, but nothing changed.

Did I miss a setting ?

My calendar is sync by CalDav (using TBSync), don't know if this could be related.

Would it kill ya to add a simple link to Google Maps (or even other map sites), if a calendar event contains an address? I use the Calendar a lot and make sure that I have addresses associated with events. This allows Google and Android Auto to pop up a notification asking me if I'm going to XYZ event. I then tap Navigate and off I go. But sometimes when I'm on my desktop I look at a calendar event and wonder where exactly I'm going to be driving to and I have to open the event and copy and paste the address into a browser set on Google Maps. It'd be way more convenient to just tap a link on the TB event notification or maybe in the right-click menu of the event on the Calendar or alongside of the address in the event details.

Been wondering about this for years and finally got around to submitting the request here.
