There are some pop-ups I cannot stop.

Naturally, I have clicked “stop pop-ups” in the Privacy and Security section of Firefox Settings. That has worked but not quite. I keep getting some “via l-itineraire.com”. That’s a website I used during a recent holiday in France.

So I installed Block Site.

That has an option called “Block a new host name”. I entered “l-itineraire.com.” and clicked Add. This has had no effect. The pop-ups still arrive from them.

I know there’s an option to open the website and get into the Firefox toolbar, but that’s defeated me. Yes I managed to get to click Menu, but not beyond. Anyway, that should not be necessary – after all I’ve clicked no pop-ups.

I continued reading on FireFox, and found that there is a "Refresh" procedure that might work, AND IT WORKED!

I'm so glad. Thank you. Of course it brings up other issues that may need attention, unrelated.

I think this has been addressed numerous times?

Prompt 'Remember decision for this site's along with a check box & allow.

My question is how to fix this as prompted even after agreeing to both.

when on firefox using OUSU mychart / Portland OR. I can't access my medication info, but when using another browser like wave the medication file come through fine? What can I do to fix my firefox browser?

I'm inspecting an element and when I use the 3 dot menu and search, it shows me results in sources tab. I try to edit the result, but it won't let me edit the sources tab. It only lets me edit in the elements tab. How do I search the elements tab? It keeps sending me to sources. It would be great if sources was made read/write as well. Many thanks.

On my Macbook air (m1 2020 14.3.1 (23D60)) /etc/hosts is ignored by Firefox 123

i've tried multiple offered (old) solutions from stack but non work.

FAILED ATTEMPTS:

• DNS over https -> off
• network.trr.excluded-domains ... tried to add the domains in the dns over https exeptions ... didn't work either
• added the domains to network.trr.excluded-domains
• cleared cache
• restart ff
• migrating all my /etc/hosts config from multiple domains on a single line to separate lines did. Hope this helps someone.
• network.ttr.mode = 5
• sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in the terminal

Background: I run my own server and I cannot access them over the internet if I am on the same network (rounter dissallows this) This is annoying as I cannot develop via my laptop.

/etc/hosts is changed and in the terminal all (ssh etc...) works fine.

What is the proper way of doing this these days?

In Chrome, I can hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open developer tools, add the Media tab, and go to the Media tab, and I can see the codec and what decoder is being used.

So I have an option in the about:config preferences that I have to toggle every so often. (if you're really interested, I have items that I need to print a few hundred times in the same manner, so I disable print.always_print_silent so I don't have to deal with the pop up and can print directly by pressing ctrl+p. small time gain, but every little bit helps.

However, I need to change every so often if I want to print something else and it can be quite tedious to navigate through all the menu's. First world problem really. But I was wondering, is there a way to hotkey toggling preferences? or adding a toggle? it's probably relatively easy to create a extension with a button and a simple script, but was wondering if anyone knew of a direct way. thanks!

I have Yahoo.com on my desktop which takes me to my email account. I would like to get it on my task bar but when I try and move it down it is adding it to Firefox on the task bar. I can't seem to get it down there to stay

I am visually impaired and I need the Fonts to be Bold. I have changed the font and size but I can hardly read them they are so light. Especially on the Book mark page.
