Why, whenever there is an update, do you insist on changing one of the PDF actions to "SAVE" instead of my set preference of "Open in Adobe PDF reader" This happens every time you do an update causing me to reset it. Stop messing with my set preferences. Thanks.

I had all my logins saved on my iMac, and when I purchased a Macbook Pro, I created the Firefox account/Lockwise so I could easily import all my login/bookmark information to the laptop.

I had to swap out laptops, so I deleted all the saved logins on it, not realizing that it would also delete it all on my desktop.

This was years of logins and bookmarks and information that I really would like back - is there any way to restore my passwords/bookmarks that were accidentally deleted??

I have used my email address which is

@gmail.com <--- I have been locked out from this account as I do not have access to Google authenticator or the backed up passwords

Funny thing is I have used the same email address but this time I used @googlemail.com <--- and I now have access to a new Firefox sync account.

This is silly.

As my email address accepts both domains @gmail.com and @googlemail.com

My question is... Why am I having to set up a new account using @googlemail.com

Why can't I just get a reset password to my email address which I own to @gmail.com so I can recover my sync account.

I totally understand the security part of it... But it's my email address. I would like a recovery code sent to my email so I can access to my sync account.

The current process for recovering access to a sync account is sad. And needs improving.

Please can you help me recover my sync account where I'm using @gmail.com

Kind regards MM89

I deal with a couple organizations that use CRES for external emails. The sender sends an HTML attachment via regular email. Opening the attachment goes to a login screen and displays the message after the user enters credentials.

I can open the attachment using Edge or Chrome but not Firefox. After I enter credentials in Firefox, I just get a screen showing the word "Error".

Has Mozilla looked at this problem and is there a solution, or should I just use the other browsers for these messages?

Thanks, Ken.

I open a window, maybe 2 or 3 tabs. I browse. When I check, I have 2 windows opened, one with my tabs and another one which doesn't seems to have anything opened in. I close the weird one. I immediately check and it's opened again. I entirely close Firefox, all windows. When I open it again, I noticed the presence of the ghost window. My phone is a Google Pixel 5 - Android 11. Any idea?

Having a problem getting Firefox to open. When you try to click on it it looks like it wants to open, but the homepage is blank. When I try to log in the page stays blank. I can see the menu bar but none of the choices will open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, each time removing any and all Firefox folders. Still will not open. Followed the steps for a clean install, no change. The last time I was downloading Firefox I received my first error message: c:\windows\system32\msvcp140.dll error message I get no other error messages, the home page stays blank. Any suggestions on what to try?

If I'm on a website and it says something like "click here to send email" or some other email link and I click on it I get a screen asking if I want to install Thunderbird. I already have installed I just need it to open the new message box. There's some communication missing somewhere.

This isn’t an issue with Firefox per say. It’s about the code scanner feature. I cannot get the scanner to hold still long enough for to position the blue frame lined up probably so that I can scan. Do you have any idea how I can do this? After 150 times of trying this I’m a bit discouraged with this. I am even holding as still as possible.

I have been using Firefox to log into the ADP site ever since my company changed to them.

Firefox version 76.0.1 (64-bit) will no long log into https://workforcenow.adp.com

Not sure if this was after an update or not. It has worked until a few days ago. Chrome and IE works, but not FF.

ADP gives no errors, just comes back to the same login screen.

Mailing list entries were deleted. here's what I did...

  1. o # File > new > address book > address book 2
  2. o Select address book 1 > edit > select all
  3. o Drag contacts from address book 1 to address book 2
  4.  This moved the contacts
  5.  “And it moved” the mailing list that was in address book 1
  6.  “And it deleted” the entries in the mailing list

I’m running v. 78.3.3 (32-bit) with Windows 7. additional note: the drag and drop feature to populate a new mailing list does not work--not even by holding down the ctrl key as was suggested in another thread. So the only way I know to re-populate my mailing list is to retype it.

When I open all my bookmarks (I have over 200 tabs), the articles from getpocket tend to fail.

In previous versions of Firefox, when I opened a huge number of tabs, the CPU would max out even after waiting several hours.

I installed Peter Simonyi's addon which opens tabs slowly and it works, but this addon is not actively monitored by Firefox.

When the latest version of Firefox came out, I was really happy because the 100% CPU problem went away, but to my dismay most of the getpocket articles failed to load.
