Before update when I clicked in PDF viewer toolbar download button it opened a screen to open with, right now it only download a file. I want it back. I have firefox as pdf viewer, but sometimes I need to open file with Acrobat DC, that's when I did click download button. It works on other computer like before, it is before firefox update.

I've noticed for some time now that when I access the history tab and see what there, there is nothing in it. In the past when I accessed it, it would show the sites I had visited. Not any longer. How do I fix the problem?

When i am typing a text in thunderbird and then pressing the return key, the cursor springs always in the next paragrph ( 2 lines under ), but i want it only to go to the next line. When i choose text it always changes by pressing the return key to paragraph. How can i change this ungraceful habit of thunderbird?

So does fire fox just not give a shit whether the app is usable? You've completly stripped.any ability to customize and disable useless "features" that maybe 5% of user want. Are you just trying to go out business? How about returning control to the user. How about reading the app feedback and actually responding to users instead of ignoring us.

This is more of a convenience issue but the new download panel pop-up from the download arrow is very distracting. I couldn't find an option to turn it off so I had to go into the config and turn the true flag false for this "improvement". Is there a better way of disabling this pop-up and if not will there be in future versions of firefox?

I have been searching for a solution for over five hours and three different Thunderbird updates. My version of Thunderbird is 91.9.0 (32-bit). I have found several suggestion on things to do, but they are all for prior versions and the UI has changed so they all refer to pathways to find the default incoming message text size that does not match this version. I have tried every font size input I can find, setting all to 20 (larger than I need but immediately obvious when it works) and one of them did change all of the incoming message text sizes, but when I next reopened Thunderbird (for an update), it no longer persisted.

Hey, I can't add new filetypes to the handlers.json Who had this before? I have already reset Firefox, deleted handlers.json, used safe mode... all without success For example, when I click on a ZIP file, the "save as" menu opens immediately. In the FF settings this filetype does not appear. So I can't define how to handle new files. I have also tried the addon "Content-Type Fixer Content-Type Fixer".

I have set the Noto family of fonts to be the default font family but websites that don't specify a font or specify sans-serif or monospace get Liberation Mono. When I changed any option in the fonts settings, the entire browser becomes Liberation Mono. I want Noto Sans be the default font for websites and for the Firefox UI. I tried to fix it by preforming a Firefox Refresh, but it didn't work. I think the problem began after upgrading to Firefox 100 but I'm no 100% sure.

Firefox just updated to v100.

However, my menus (e.g., bookmarks, tools, history etc) and popups text has become black, having previously been white. The Menu Bar and Tabs text are still white.

How do I get the White text back on menus and popups please?

It seems since Firefox 100 the address bar has taken to being white-on-white, making it nearly impossible to read. There isn't any issues with light themes. It doesn't matter if I change the Windows 10 default app mode to light or dark. Light themes have black text on white background, but dark themes have white text on white background. Any ideas?

If i want to open files into an application i do not want the files to clutter up my downloads folder.

this used to work perfectly pre-v91.

i understand that some users were confused where their files went when they opened them incorrectly within firefox.

currently i'm using a python script to clear my downloads folder from the useless files, but i'd rather just not have to bother with it.

is there a way to get the old behavior back? im comfortable going into about:config and/or using a plugin if i have to.

The Firefox desktop browser default font is replacing all fonts on some websites, only title fonts on some others, and then leaving others unchanged. It seems random, and I can't stop the default font from taking over randomly on most websites no matter what I do. This was not happening until today, and no browsers or general MacBook Air preferences were changed between today and yesterday when I last used the browser on desktop.

Under Firefox Preferences » Fonts » Advanced, I've made sure to check the box to "Allow pages to choose their own fonts instead of your selections above", and I've unchecked it, and I've re-checked it, and the default is still overriding fonts on most websites.

I've quit and restarted Firefox 3 times.

I used to be able to place shortcuts that I wanted on the Firefox homepage now it seems to be my history or nothing. Can we go back to allowing customised homepage. I don't want random stuff.

Is it possible to move the address bar above or below the Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox 100.0 (64 bit). If not, can you provide a link to the latest version of Firefox for Mac OS X Catalina (10.15.7) that does not have the address bar on the same level as the Bookmarks Toolbar.

It never used to do that ! Having the Downloads panel drop down and just sit there covering a large part of the page every time I save a little picture is an extreme nuisance ! How do I prevent it from happening ? Please help ! Many thanks !

I always use the current Firefox on two Macintosh browsers running OS 10.14.6.

Recently (in only one of the computers), if I download a file, a pane containing recent downloads opens in the upper left-hand quadrant. This is distinct from the downloads portion of the "Library" area, and gets in the way of my ability to use Firefox efficiently.

I can't seem to find a way to keep this pane from repeatedly opening up as I download things. Can anyone help?

How do I turn off Family Filters in Firefox and Firefox for Android, something is blocking age related content, I didn't set it that way. I can't find any info about this anywhere.
