Keep losing my emails on my pc after 3 weeks using Thunderbird. Tried checking settings many times but cannot fixed the problem. I basically want to keep my emails permanently on my pc once downloaded from my email server. Also I once downloaded I want to clear emails from the email server which has only got a limited capacity. Please help or advice where the settings are to do the above thanks a lot. I have already spent many hours on this but cannot figure this out. After 3 weeks Thurderbird removed all my emails on my pc

For years I have been using Firefox. If I clicked on a hyperlink in any of my programs, Outlook messages, websites etc, Firefox opened a new tab. That behaviour has suddenly stopped for websites including this one occasionally. It seems to still work for Outlook. Has Firefox changed its policy?

The advice on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1283295 is to edit browser.link.open_newwindow (3) 1:current tab; 2:new window; 3:new tab; But that is already set to 3.

What other settings might work? And why has this been changed?

Hi, every time i upload csv file to run in local outbox, it sends email on the basis of time . Is there anyway to sort emails by correspondent name and send it accordingly.

Is there anyway to reset the dates or remove the dates from drafts. i have multiple emails to send, and for some reason , I would like to either give same date/time to the selected emails or completely remove it.

Even though my settings is set for "always ask ..", in the latest Firefox versions all files are automatically saved to "Downloads" on my hard drive. Could you please rectify this error?

Hey! I think to migrate from Vivaldi but only couple of things stops me. I used to split some tabs in one screen there and looks like I can't find any good addons for that. There is one addon Tile Tabs WE but it is not what I need, I want to tabs be still along other tabs, I can detach them and place on my screen by myself without such addons but that's uncomfortable to use.

This button has never worked for me. If I want to manually check for emails, I have to use the down arrow beside it and select one of my two email addresses. Do I need to check a box somewhere in both account settings to tell Thunderbird to use the control?

I am trying to create an HTML signature block. I need to add an image to my signature. In the Help for adding signatures, it says to use the menu item 'Insert > Image'. I cannot find any such menu item.

The version of my Thunderbird is 91.9.1

Please indicate where I can find this function.

My shortcut display had frequently visited websites shown and these have been replaced by several sponsored shortcuts I am not interested in. Plus, my saved user names and passwords are not loading even though they are still stored. I don't understand what happened, why these have changed, or how to restore what I previously had on shortcuts. I am not a tech savvy person and am stumped and looking for help

I am looking for a toolbar addon that allows shortcuts to local applications. Example, shortcuts to notepad, word, calc etc... on a toolbar (like the firefox [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[B]-toolbar)

There are launchers and such to launch applications, but I just want a dedicated toolbar for this where I can place shortcuts to firefox tools/utilities on there.

10+ years ago there was an addon for firefox that was a simple toolbar which could handle url's, local applications...anything as long as it could be created as a shortcut on the desktop. But I can't find it anymore it probably got dis-continued.

Any suggestion is very welcome.

Your system is a DOG, I had to reset my laptop and when I reinstalled Thunderbird, I didnt know there was box to Check/uncheck about leaving emails on your server, so to dumped all my emails older than 14 days.

I did try the forum to try and find a repair and only got 1 comment from a Matthew ( I think)

Total waste of time!!!!!

I have swapped to Outlook, cost a little but far better for safety.

I cannot disable google document viewer in Google Drive. Every time I go to open a recently downloaded PDFs in Google Drive, it invokes Document Viewer unless I specifically right click and tell it to open with Acrobat. I have disabled everything thing I know in both Chrome and Firefox, cleared the caches, rebooted, and the default behavior persists. Worse, the Document Viewer REQUIRES a complicated, infuriating sign in process that has only worked ONCE in dozens of sign in attempts. Please help with this.

I would like to hide the "Switch to the calendar tab" and "Switch to the tasks tab" toolbar buttons that appear in the Thunderbird 91 top bar (title bar?).

I've tried the methods suggested for prior Thunderbird versions that employ userChrome.css, and they do not work.

Is it possible to hide these toolbar items?

Hello I try to move emails with the filter function (from x to z). Both folders exist. I can not choose the destination folder. It is dimmed and says "Destination folder not available". Thank you Heinrichxx

For years when I compose an email, my address book appeared on the left column.

Somehow today it disappeared. How can I get it back to the above location when composing an email?

One aspect of Firefox I value is the ability to customize headers and footers on printed webpages. This ability is important for my work.

I customized the headers and footers in the about:config interface according to advice posted [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1323433|here].

Recently, these settings don't take effect when I print webpages to pdf. I've triple checked that the settings are correct, but every time I print, the header and footer remain in the Firefox default configuration. Inexplicably, my preferred settings do take effect if I set the destination to "Fax." All other destinations don't work.

Is there any way to make these settings work again? Sadly, this might be a dealbreaker for me if not.
