I want help to recover bookmarks and password saved on my Firefox browser.

There was a issue with my Windows 11, due to which I was not able to boot on to Windows, hence I don't have the option to export the profile etc. Due to this the only option for me was to copy all the data on C drive through cmd prompt. After having taken all data back, I have reinstalled windows and firefox.

I did some search on the internet to locate the profile files so that I can get back my bookmarks and passwords. However I am unable to locate the same.

Request some guidance and help on this.

I was trying to download ledger live from an official site when I noticed Firefox had twice tried and failed to download an old version of the tor browser I downloaded a long time ago.

A few hours before this happened my pc froze for a minute.

I'm not sure if I have malware on my device or if this is Firefox acting up. My antivirus scan shows nothing.

Yesterday, I passed a message from https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/setup/linux_build.html#building ---The official documentation for firefox on Linux compiles and installs a Linux system with aarch64 architecture on an Ubuntu host with x86 architecture. After compiling for a while, I obtained a folder called "obj-aarch64-linux". I think I have completed cross compilation, so I compressed the "obj-aarch64-linux" folder on a USB drive and copied it to my aarch64 architecture development board. And when I tried to launch the browser on the development board using the "./obj-aarch64-linux/dist/bin/firefox" command, I received an error message saying "Couldn't load XPCOM". It is worth mentioning that firefox is installed by default on my development board, but I need to compile and install its source code, and local compilation cannot be achieved on my development board, so I made the above operation. greetings, I had trouble with firefox crashing, so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now I have lost all my passwords and bookmarks from the previous installation. I have tried to fix it, but I am completely computer illiterate. Please help. I am unable to do this with directions found in my search. I need someone to do it FOR me. Please help.

I just bought a new MacBook Air to replace a Windows 10 laptop which crashed about a week ago. I have my files backed up with Carbonite. I have found and downloaded a copy of my Firefox profile from Carbonite's website. I wanted to restore the profile to the new Mac computer. I have followed the instructions I found online to copy the specific files to the new profile. I finally got the bookmarks file to work, so my bookmarks are now transferred to the Mac. However, the passwords are still not showing up when I copy key4.db and logins.json to the new profile on the Mac. What can I do to get the passwords copied and restored to the Mac?

I do not know what version of Firefox I was running when the profile file was last backed up, but it was supposed to be running the current version when the laptop crashed last week. However, Carbonite shows the date of key4.db to be April of 2019 and the date of logins.json to be 10/8/2022. Should the files be newer? Would they be from an older version of Firefox that's not compatible with the current Mac version? I also just noticed that even though the bookmarks folder was dated 6/9/2024 in Carbonite, the restored bookmarks do not show some fairly recent bookmarks I added earlier this year. Is there any way to get my files back?

The Windows laptop that crashed is stuck in a loop and says it's trying to repair the hard drive. Is there a way to get it turned on but not booted up and connect it via a USB cable and transfer files to the Mac that way?

I've had thunderbird running on my desktop for many years. I tried setting it up identically on my android and it doesn't work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as I run the server side as well. How do you get thunderbird to accept no username or password for the outbound server? I'm using postfix and it only accepts outbound email from my ip address.

Firefox stopped launching from the desktop. After reinstalling the new 127 both once with the 64bit, windows 10, English. The with the 32 bit version as well with the same configurations.

The problem is that the browser will not launch from the install finish window or the short cut icon. I can start Firefox from the Search window > Firefox > run as administrator. Firefox will start up but will not google search and the settings button will not function. I have installed Google Chrome and am sending this message through them. I don't want to use Google for all the reason for privacy that you already know. HOW can I get Firefox back ? Thank you for any and all help you can offer. My Best Regards, Doc'

When checking my email the 'Thunderbird' status bar says "downloading message' (as normal), but sometimes the message does not appear in my Inbox or any folder.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.12.0 on Linux Ubuntu. The email is downloaded via the POP protocol.

I have checked on the server and nothing is left there.

Using the Thunderbird search function on 'date' only, the e-mails actually in the inbox or folders show up, not the one purported to have been downloaded.

All of my folders are set to 'Unthreaded'.

Any ideas please?

Following suggestions from Jame and Matt (Thanks, guys!), I just installed T-Bird 115X on my Win7 computer, and successfully set up my primary e-mail account. I tried to import settings from my existing Outlook 2010 installation, and was instructed to set Outlook up as the default app for email. I did so, but now I get a "No profile found" notification from T-Bird T-Bird. What should I do?

Upgraded to the newest version of Thunderbird, 115.11.1 (64-bit) and now I can not get into my emails on bellsouth.net. . Error message "Sending of password for user xyz123@bellsouth.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later." I keep trying but same error for two days now. I can get my email on the web (Yahoo mail) ok. I double checked the setting and everything is good and migrated to the new version ok.

Hi - I updated my Firefox / Mozilla browser yesterday and now all types of downloads are failing. PDFs and EXEs alike. I can't an error that says Failed.

And yet, when I use Chrome or Edge, the downloads work fine, soooo - not sure what is going on.

I recently converted my POP accounts to iMap. One of my local folders was corrupted. I restored a backup copy of Thunderbird that had the emails in a local folder. By local folder, I mean a folder stored on my iMac and not subject to iMap services. What I would like to do is to export the local folder from the backup TB instance and import it to my "live" TB version. Is this possible?

I've been unable to complete the installation of the latest version of the Firefox browser for Windows 10 for several weeks because my Bitdefender online protection repeatedly blocks the connection to incoming.telemetry.mozilla.org saying: "firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to incoming.telemetry.mozilla.org. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one."
