Hello. I have looked in as many places as I can and am unable to find any setting the both allows me to sort bookmarks by name, date, etc.

Am I missing something simple or otherwise? I appreciate any reply.

Note also that I have (last time I checked) the same problem with my MacBook pro.

firefox is my default browser - i'm on a mac - yesterday it just deleted for no reason - when i searched for it it was gone from my applications

i reinstalled it but now i don't have any of my previous information (bookmarks and stored passwords)

can i recover this?

I am attempting to delete/edit saved addresses on my Firefox iOS app, because it's somehow piled up a bunch of addresses that I've used over the years that aren't mine or are outdated work addresses, and I cannot find a way to edit them.

Every time I go to Settings > Addresses, it gives me the checkbox to turn it on/off, and lists a dozen or two addresses. No matter what I tap/click/swipe, nothing happens and I cannot delete or edit any of the saved addresses.

Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

I was attempting to sync bookmarks from Firefox on my Android phone to my laptop. They weren't appearing on my laptop so I deleted the bookmarks on the laptop version and updated the browser. I signed in again and both the Android and desktop versions synced. Now, all of my bookmarks have disappeared on my Android phone. I tried to restore using import and backup/restore but that didn't do anything. Is there any way of getting them back?

I also have a tablet which has my bookmarks, albeit older versions as it hasn't connected to the internet for several months. How can I safely get these across to my phone and desktop without the risk of losing them again?

Firefox on android has to be the absolute worst browser for managing bookmarks. I'm thinking of changing to something else.

I'm sure some people find your weird separation of saved bookmarks into mobile and desktop folders, but I am not one of them? Is there no way to turn that off in favor of a device agnostic bookmarks collection? Bookmarks almost never just work for me in Firefox because I always have to think about where they might be saved. That's a major point of friction for such a browser.

Whenever I try to download a pdf file, I can’t view it afterwards or export it to another app. Also exporting to another app like Goodnotes doesn’t work. Please fix this bug on ios!

After force closing Firefox app when I tap on the bookmarks under settings it always defaults to "Desktop Bookmarks". Is there a way to make it go to "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder content by default?

Trying to organize bookmarks alphabetically in fennec on Android 13 and I saw the other answer that was accepted was from 2011 says to sync with computer Firefox and then it will cross link the sinking of the change to the Android.

Do I have to do that can I not do it on Android since 2011 that's still the best we can do? Thank you

Please add one option to drag up and down by tap and hold bookmarks and folders in bookmarks menu, this function will be very useful to arrange bookmarks properly.

I had to reset tablet. Downloaded Firefox Logged in My bookmarks are not appearing. Next steps to download my bookmarks.

I do have bookmarks on my phone.

Bookmarks does not work. Please fix and post good instructions. See the many other negative complaints about Bookmarks. It should not be this hard to establish a bookmark folder and place an item in that that folder. Very frustrating to use!

Is there an option in settings to force FireFox to stay in the locqtion within thehboomark tree? Currently when I select a bookmark after I selected a bookmark in the bookmark tree, I have sto start from the tree root. But I structured my tree according to similar topics, so I need sometimes a location in the bookmark tree quiet similar to the previously selected bookmark. It would be helpful If FireFox would remember the previosly selected location.

Again this is MOBILE Firefox on Android and all the backing out using arrows does is leave me with yet another empty folder. F*** that arrow button!!! It really needs to be more straight forward like making YouTube playlists or even how bookmarks work with Firefox on PC.

I really do want it to work but I have never had so much difficulty adding bookmarks to folders on any other browsers mobile or PC, this sucks!

So one more time, you select edit on a bookmark then checkmark the folder you want and arbitrarily back out without using any kind of confirmation button and then go back into said folder and expect that bookmark to be there. Am I getting that right?

Cause it would super sick if there was actually a bookmark in the damn folder when I went back to it. All I have now are empty folders so what am I missing???

I would like to have an easy access to particular folder of bookmarks both - on my PC and my mobile phone.

Now it is an "either/or" case - easy on one device, but harder on the other.

I have installed firefox on my Samsung S 6 tablet (bought 2022). I can't get Firefox to show a task bar (or bookmarks menu - but the bookmarks do exist from sync) and I can't add in 1password. I synced with my desktop (where firefox and 1 password work perfectly well) and tried everything I can from online suggestions - but either they haven't worked or some of the settings they refer to don't exist in the Android version of firefox. 1 Password - which is also installed on the device - does not show up in the list of add ons accessed via the Firefox 3-dot menu; and doesn't show up either if 1 password is open or closed . I've wasted hours on this and getting nowhere. Any help would be appreciated

I recently bit the bullet and am transferring from chrome to firefox. I was able to transfer my hundreds of book marks from chrome into desktop firefox, but I cannot get them on my phone. I saw one user suggest doing a "sync now" to force it, but when I tab "sync now" nothing happens and it continues reading "Last synced: Never" and I am logged into the same accounts on desktop and mobile.

How do I get this to work?
