It seem like since a recent version update of Thunderbird, I have to confirm every email deletion. Before it would simply delete and move into the Trash. If I really wanted it back, I could get it back from the Trash. Why does it now ask me EVERY TIME I delete an email. I used to be able to just press the delete key for a message to go on to the next message. If I accidentally deleted something I'd go find it in the Trash.

Why does "Move to Trash" have to be confirmed now?????

It slow my mail reading down incredibly.

Who added that as default option and why???

Is there a way I can disable the "Pop out this video" button on the video player itself but keep the toggle present in the url bar? I have attached the pictures of what I am talking about I don't like the pop out button appearing on the video everytime I try to use my mouse around the video player but like the option of picture in picture seems like a good option for me.

Currently if I try to disable the button from the menu after right-clicking, it also disable the button present in the url bar.

Cannot prevent intrusive unwanted video on some pages; notably, CTV.ca which has an annoying widget which autoplays constantly and blockers are not effective, neither is video.autoplay.default=5 That USED to be the default no-fail go-to, now it has no effect whatsoever and I'm stymied in my attempts to block this stuff. What's next? How do i do this?

The folder pane, message list pane, and message pane are separated by lines 1 pixel wide. Is there a way to make the lines thicker, perhaps editing the chrome/userChrome.css file?

So I have 2 screens. I put Youtube tutorials in my rightmost screen and have unreal engine open in my leftmost screen. I use my keyboard keys to pause the videos so I can type stuff or make changes as I follow along tutorials. Each and every time I hit pause/play this popup appears in the top-left of my leftmost screen showing a picture of the video that I have open (why this redundancy....I have it full screen already on screen), it shows a huge title of the vid (again with the redundancy I don't need another title of a vid that I am watching to keep appearing), it shows a rewind/play/fast forward which is really really poorly thought out.........we have those keys on our keyboard this just is more stuff blocking our view. All of these things block out the top left stuff in my window (file/edit/asset/window/tools/help)...its so large it blocks out all tabs open in this window...its so large it even blocks out part of my viewport and other areas in that vicinity. Now all of these things it blocks out are important and I need to use them. When I pause vid I am immediately needing to use things in this space. Then you turn it off using the solution: media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled = false and your buttons also stop working. So now you cannot pause/play without mousing off screen to YouTube and manually restarting.

So my first and most important question is how to HIDE not disable the use of the buttons associated with this.

My second question that I really want to put in all caps with expletives and maybe copy and paste the question like 5000000 times so that the amount of frustration this causes on a constant basis with every workflow that I need to use vids as part of it...is WHYYYYY?!?!?!

Ait now that last bit was for flair but I'm not even really joking with that one.

I want for my email to come in according to who it is from and the FROM option seems to be grayed out and not accessible to me. How do I change/access this option? Please advise. Thank you.

There is no longer a mail toolbar and it doesn't show up in the toolbar menu. I am not very tech savvy so don't understand what a unified toolbar is. Anyway, I wanted to tag a message and can't find a way to do it. Thanks for any suggestions.

The new update is a disaster and almost unusable. The biggest problem I have with it is that the Message pane is now reduced to a size that is uncomfortably small. This could be ameliorated if the Message List pane could be shortened, as in previous versions. The current pane cannot be reduced to less than 8 messages in the list, previous versions allowed for far fewer.

Yes, there are several options available to change the layout, but they all have even greater issues.

PLEASE CHANGE THE MESSAGE LIST PANE FORMAT SO THAT IT CAN BE REDUCED TO DISPLAY A SMALLER NUMBER THAN 8 MESSAGES!!!

how do I set up an outgoing mail filter in Thunderbird that is applied before the email is actually sent?

I'm using this to automatically add (varying) Cc/Bcc recipients to the email before sending, depending on the mail account used for sending and the recipient's mail address/domain, change the To address based on some condition, or switch to a different From address based e.g. on contents.

As I understand it, TB allows me to apply filters automatically on a mail only after it has already been sent, which for my use cases is too late.

Any ideas? Is there a plugin that does this?

I have update few weeks ago to the new version and the layout in the message body is kind of big! like the pictures that come in they are big. How do i make them smaller view? See attached picture.

Can't sort emails by date - Setting selections frozen on "Subject" under "Sort By" (115.4.2) Only affects one email account, but not another. Only recourse is to sort by "unread" to get new emails - otherwise old subject emails display in the inbox.

Cannot find how to make my list of messages appear like they do in outlook. There is a screen shot on Thunderbird home page that it appears it can be done. See attached.
