A while ago, I had to work offline so I had TB download my Gmail account messages. Now I no longer want these messages to be stored locally, because the Thunderbird folder is up to 10Gb, so I unchecked the box in Synchronization for 'Keep messages in all folders for this account on this computer'. I was hoping the TB would subsequently purge the offline folders, but apparently not. Is there a way to clean out the folders without affecting my online Gmail folders as in Inbox and Sent folders?

Hello, I've found this article [[Knowledge Base Article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/maildir-thunderbird]] which substantially says that the use of maildir is deprecated. Has anything changed from the time that article was posted? I'd like to use maildir, it seems to me a more rational way to store e-mails (and it's also better to make incremental backups).

Hi and thanks for your help. I was playing around with my DMARC settings for my new site and was looking around at who was hosting my WordPress domain for http://ibizignite.com, and Google directed me to GoDaddy. That was wrong. However, in my fooling around, somehow GoDaddy and this associate Westechnologies keeps popping up when I open up my browser after booting up my computer, and I cannot get rid of it. I don't know where to find it, because there is no associated extension anywhere in my extension list.

I tried to use another add-on to block it, and it does, but the darn site keeps appearing every startup after a fresh boot, and neither Westechnologies not GoDaddy appear anywhere in my Zone Map or anywhere else in my registry. Can anyone help me get rid of it please?

Cox has tranferred my email accounts to Yahoo. I need to know how to connect back to Thunderbird. Had a discussion on your FB group with ANJE YELF.. She said to leave a message here and she would get back to me on how to do that. I have imap.

I was using FF on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS. Had version FF 120.x and playing video in Netflix worked fine. Then I updated to FF 124.x and playing video stopped with error F7355-1203.

I've checked the DRM setting and it is enabled, I checked addons and I have OpenH264 and Widevine installed, both set to always active.

I've checked installed codecs and I do have libavcodec58 installed. No update for that available via apt. I also have ffmpeg installed, no problem with that either. I can play Netflix videos in Chrome, but not in Firefox now. Something happened to Firefox when I updated from 120.x to 124.x. Today I updated to 125.x, same problem, Netflix video won't play.

I've unchecked the DRM setting and re-checked it, and that does reinstalled Widevine but does not fix the problem.

Any ideas what could be the cause?

After Firefox updates itself, the restarted browser session is unresponsive to mouse clicks - can't follow links, can't respond to UI dialog boxes, the browser is unusable for practical purposes. It's fixed after another manual restart. This unfortunately breaks all the streamlining Firefox has done to restore the session after an update, because none of that stuff works the same after a manual quit and restart. This is happening on MacOS, and it happens across multiple computers.

Hello. I have put my language everywhere on the settings which is latvian. For possible translations i have only put english. Some pages, for example, whatsapp web is showing in russian ( i mean the app data for sure, not the messages), also some homepages i use open automatically in russian. How can i put latvian by default or if its not available for the homepage, put english automatically?

After the latest update to 125.0.2 (64-bit) the browser works fine for a few minutes and then pages won't load. It starts working again after a restart [ for a few minutes]. I have cleared the cache & data. Chrome works ok.

Moved to new country (UK) took TB data with me as instructed. Installed TB did put in email data. Uploaded TB data as per instructions. Opened TB and put in email password etc. All my current emails show up no problems and email account appears to work but none of the uploaded data appears even though it took 15 min to upload. It feels like it was uploaded to the 'wrong' place but I uploaded the data it to the TB folder as instructed. Any idea what I did wrong??

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

I have an issue where I go to website and I get a message that the website is temporarily available. I cannot go to a different webpage for what URL I want. I believe this has to do with history. I suspect I can get past this by flushing the history. I can get to the website I want by using a different browser such as chrome. Ho do I fix this?

IBM clone using windows 10, firefox 125

Whenever I select tab and then start typing in the page search box it automatically jumps to the URL/Address bar. This is not only annoying but it makes it difficult for me to see what I'm typing, and it often results in unwanted typing errors. I have yet to encounter a single longtime Firefox user who thinks this is a good idea, but I have met several who've decided to drop Firefox and start using Chrome just to be done with it. I've been using Firefox since early 2005 and I've mostly been happy with it but this is just to annoying to continue. I'm complaining because the feature exits, I'm complaining because there's no option to opt for those of us who find it annoying and will never become comfortable with it.

If there is a working fix that I've been unable to find, then please point me to where or what it is so that I can apply it.

So if Lightning is no longer valid - please remove old references to it!! How do I get the old plain calendar tab on????

I have two end users that are having a different issues but they are of similar nature. First user can not upload anything to Microsoft Share point. She gets a message that says she does not have proper permissions to upload. She does not have the same issue on Chrome or Edge. The second user is trying to download and or save a file from a couple of different websites but regardless on where she tries to save it on her computer it says she does not have proper permissions to save to "x" file location. She also does not have this issue when she is on Chrome or Edge.

For both users I have tried clearing cache and cookies, Rebooting their computers, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, deleting registry keys/user data from the computer itself. I have had no luck with resolving this issue and I can not find anything online that remotely resembles this issue.

Canvas is working on all other browsers normally, but when I try to login on firefox an error 403 message shows up at the two factor authentification step. I allowed popups already in this browser so that is not the issue.
