Hi! On the latest version Mozilla Firefox 125.0.1 when i download .docx files i get the message 'File not downloaded: Potential security risk.' I select Allow download and the file downloaded can't be opened.

Hyperlink insertion only works in troubleshoot modes but not in main mode even if all extensions and hardware acceleration are turned off (used this guide: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird#w_the-problem-no-longer-happens-in-troubleshoot-mode)

I have 4 accounts with different names but all with the same domain name (name1@samedomain.com, name2@samedomain.com ...). The first one set up perfectly and works. The 2nd and the 3rd can't retrieve mail from the server (didn't try the 4th yet). The SSL ports are the same for all. The passwords happen to be the same for all. (I haven't tried changing the 2nd and 3rd passwords as that seems unlikely to be the problem.) When initially setting up the 2nd or the 3rd I get a "Sending of password for user name2@samedomain.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.yyy.zzz responded: [AUTH Authentification failed." I've checked the passwords on both the client and the server ends multiple times and they are the same. Then, of course, periodically I get a pop-up with "Login to server pop.xxx.yyy with username name2@samedomain.com failed. When I go to the Account Settings screen with the 3 accounts and click on each Server Settings one after another, the only thing that changes is the User Name, yet the first account receives mail and the other 2 don't so everything is correctly set up. As an aside, I CAN SEND emails from the 2nd and 3rd accounts but can only RECEIVE and SEND from the 1st. Any help appreciated.

V 115.9.0 (32-bit) Good day, I have K9 as my mail client on my Android phone. In K9 there is the possibility to display all incoming mails of my different IMAP accounts in one folder (Common inbox). Is it possible to set up such a folder in Supernova? Thanks for detailed instructions Stefan

Not sure if this is a new 'feature' post-update but it's damn annoying. I was busily transferring some photos that I'd taken on my phone over to Firefox on my Mac. Wasn't until I went to find them on the Mac where they would normally be and couldn't find them. Bit of digging, opening up the Download 'history' on Firefox and saw "File not downloaded: possible security risk".

I can see that I can disable this 'feature' but it seems to be a global "allow". Is there any way I can tell Firefox to allow any downloads from my devices on my network yet warn for potentially insecure downloads from the web?

Hello, I just got a new laptop with windows 11. I just did the latest update to Firefox. Everything is a little large but an internet search addresses these: BUT.... The 'bookmark this page', the star in the URL line, menu is small and the fonts are micro. Zooming or changing fonts in the hamburger menu doesn't correct this. Attached. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I have installed Firefox on all windows 10 workstations and I have also installed latest Firefox Group Policy ADMX on Server. I need to set some preferences on all Workstations. The preferences that I want to set are the ones that can be found in about:config.

But the problem is that only some of these preferences exist in Group Policy by default and it says "deprecated". I know that I can add additional about:config preferences in a Group Policy object called "Preferences". But no matter how I enter the format or how I change the JASON file, no preference policy is applied to Firefox in workstations. By the way when I change "Preferences" gpo in group Policy the next Policy called "Preferences (JASON on one file)" does also change. I have thoroughly searched the web and Mozilla support and have tested all suggestions but all to no avail. Can you please help me and Give me an example of how to do that? I would appreciate any answer in advance.

I accidentally pressed a lot of keys on my keyboard and for some reason the default colors of Firefox have changed. I found out that by using Ctrl+Alt+D that I can switch the colors back to normal or to the colors that now appear automatically, but this only works for one tab. If I open a new tab, it shows the weird colors (see images below). I tried looking up specific shortcuts for Firefox considering the shortcut mentioned before (Ctrl+Alt+D) only works on Firefox. But I can't find any shortcut tied to that combination. I'm unsure what to do and how to fix this.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to fix this.

Hi, Excuse my poor English (I am French). Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon (64), Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64) no added module - Installation from the Mint list of software. My problem : regardless of the provider (Proton, Gmail, Outlook, GMX - in IMAP), the message menu bar (see <https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/personnaliser-la-liste-des -messages#thunderbird:linux:tb115>) does not appear. How to make it reappear ? I think I have tried all the configuration menus and possible right clicks within Thunderbird ; I haven't found anything on the Net ; starting in safe mode did not change anything. I press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+i and then press on the top left icon, but then I can only have one click to identify an element. What to do if I need two or three clicks to get to an element?

Hello, I've found this article [[Knowledge Base Article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/maildir-thunderbird]] which substantially says that the use of maildir is deprecated. Has anything changed from the time that article was posted? I'd like to use maildir, it seems to me a more rational way to store e-mails (and it's also better to make incremental backups).

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. Video on Facebook plays without sound. The video plays, I see the image normally, but no sound. Video on Youtube works perfectly.

Fresh install without addons or plugins. Switching to "Troubleshoot mode" does not change anything. Youtube with sound, Facebook without sound.

Any ideas where to look?

I'm testing different Debian 12 on multiple VMs, it came to my surprise to see that my VPN hash I used on a website the day before was saved by Firefox on the new VM.

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?

1. Numbered list item Logins & Passwords ? note: The hash was not a login but a form. If Firefox saves all the form, you should explicitly rename Logins by any forms/inputs.
2. Numbered list item History? note: I hope this is only URLs.

If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

I am using Firefox Developper Edition, with extensions.langpacks.signatures.required set to false.

This addon, after download, installs fine as a temporary addon.

How can I install it permanently?

In my attempt to help my wife with her email problems I have managed to totally screw up her profile. There now duplicate inboxes, duplicate local folders, duplicate Outlook Express Import files, etc.

Is it feasible to export/backup the inbox, address book, files&folders, Outlook Express Import files (but not the profile), then uninstall Thunderbird in order to start over? If so, how is the best way to do this?

She only has one email account on Thunderbird and is running Windows 10.
