Anytime I attempt to send an email in the CCC ONE application, I get this error message from CCC ONE:

"Unable to perform selected action while the email application is open. Please close your email application and try again."

This error message persists whether I do have Thunderbird open or not. I also checked Task manager while I had Thunderbird closed and found no instance of it running. Is there any way that Thunderbird is running in the background? Or could it be if Thunderbird loads at start up that it's tricking CCC into thinking it's open all the time?

I contacted CCC ONE report and they advised me to attempt to change the name of a DLL file so a new one would be created to replace it. I tried that, the issue still persists. They also told me to try and uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird, which I did, and it still won't work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

First time posting here, so I'm hoping that someone can help me out.

I'm encountering a very odd issue on my Macbook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.4. I am unable to access two sites – allrecipes.com, and seriouseats.com on my home WiFi network on the Macbook.

These sites work on other browsers (tested on Safari and Chrome), and they also work on my iPhone.

Oddly, when I went to work and tried to access these sites via WiFi using Firefox, I was able to.

I am unsure what the problem is – the ability to access these sites on Safari, Chrome, and my iPhone at home suggests that it's not a network issue. I haven't encountered this issue with any other sites.

I have .menu-right { filter: invert(100%) !important; but it only turns the arrows white in some locations but not in the bookmarks menu and not in the right-click menu.

I recently updated to 125.0.1 and now get 'failed to check for updates': - when I manually check (help > about Firefox) (see image) - in 'settings' it also shows 'failed to check for updates' (see image) I never had such a problem with previous versions; any suggestions?

I have Windows OS and use Firefox as my main browser. Firefox settings are set for dark mode and it works in google.com etc, but when I open iCloud Notes, it's full white and not in dark mode. Can someone advise how to change iCloud Notes also to dark mode? I have cleared cache etc, not helping.

Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. There are two "bad email" files in Thunderbird: JUNK and SPAM. I'm still not clear on the difference.

For JUNK mail, TB gives us the option to select "NOT JUNK". Good.

But for SPAM, I cannot find the option "NOT SPAM"

1) Why are there separate SPAM and JUNK directories? And why are they managed differently? This seems terribly non-intuitive and inconsistent and just strange.

2) How can I train SPAM filter to not flag good email from trusted senders? For instance, I get email from my wife many times a day for many years. Today, TB put her email into SPAM. Isn't there a simple command to "white list" a sender's email address?

Hello, I have problem with firefox. When I try download from facebook page files .docx, .xlsx (Microsoft Office) Firefox automatically download it as PDF and file is broken. I don't know how to repair this. Please help, it is very frustrating.

I have a unique annoyance wherein I use a considerably long email address for many sites. I've gotten tired of typing it out whenever it comes up and wish for it to be preserved as an autofill across all sites so I no longer have to, similar to how your phone may suggest your email address in autocomplete.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, you can only manually add autofills for specific sites and with password attached. So my question is, is there a way to make the address be a suggested autofill on username/email address boxes across all sites?

(not interested in having form history saved, just want this one specific form entry)

Twice in the past 2-3 weeks I have had to restart the computer, Linux Mint 21.2 Firefox 124(when updated in the past couple of days), due to the mouse freezing up and not being able to move the mouse on the screen. That's not the current problem, but it might help direct things to the final solution.

After the most recent reboot last night now I'm having a rather problem. The up/down arrow keys are no longer scroll me up and down a webpage like they always have in the past. Instead of doing smooth scrolling like they always use to, now they are scrolling me up and down the links on a web page. For example, if I were to be on youtube it would first want to scroll me down the left side links before taking me through each and every video link, when the page goes to load in more videos than it wants to go back and scroll me down the left side links again. It acts like it is taking me through the html code, line by line, instead of scrolling me smoothly down the webpage. The only way I can scroll smoothly down the webpage is to use the mouse on the scrollbar on the right side. It does this both in normal mode and in Troubleshooting Mode.

I have checked and beret scrolling is false as well as beret_shortcut. Use autoscrolling, use smooth scrolling, show scrollbars and always underline links are all clicked on. Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages is unclicked. I have tried different changes between clicking on and unclicking those options with no change being noticed.

How can I get this back to the way it used to run?

I've been trying out Thunderbird and Spark for the past few weeks, and decided to go with Thunderbird to replace Windows Mail. After uninstalling Spark, I changed all my email passwords, and now Thunderbird can't connect. I deleted my Google and Xfinity email accounts from Thunderbird, then closed and reopened the program, but I'm still getting this error from Google when I fill in the credential info it automatically asks for when re-adding it to my account:

"400. That’s an error.

The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know."

On the "set up your existing email address" page in Thunderbird, I'm getting this error (see image), even though the copy/pasted password works fine when logging directly into Google.

I also can't reconnect to Xfinity at all. The 3rd party box is checked in their system, but when Thunderbird tries to connect, it looks like it's auto-filling and submitting a password on my behalf, without stopping on that screen so I can change it.

Hello. In our company, every employee has an IMAP account, but over time the IMAP profile takes up too much space on the hard drive (100-200GB per user...). What can we do to have more storage space? Can we delete the file? Or will all emails also be deleted from the server?

Ever since the update, I have had pink flickers on videos on youtube and twitter. They last for less then a second, so I couldn't grab a screenshot of it. After doing some reading online, I turned off hardware acceleration which turned the pink flicker black and now effects several sections of the web browser.

However Firefox does not remember any file associations. The MimeTypes.rdf file in the profile is missing and is also not created on restarting the browser.

In the options I've now set the configuration to "Ask whether to open or save files". Now I see a popup when clicking on a file however there is no checkbox with "remember this file associations" (or something similiar).

When I go to update Firefox through the settings > general > firefox updates > check for updates, I am getting the error in the title. I can manually download the app installer and update to the most current version which is what I did for version 125.0.1, yesterday.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, installing the beta branch, refreshing firefox, running in troubleshooting mode, completely deleting all user firefox files, and I still get the error. No DNS resolver issues to the update server. No firewall issues. No network blocking (tested with other devices).

This issue started after March update to 124.0.1 and continues to current stable release 125.0.1.

This issue also seems to extend to checking for extension updates.
