When we log into our Yahoo email, there's a small triangle (see screen shot) next to the padlock on the address bar that says "connection not secure".

Not sure what to do to get rid of it.

My provider has deleted my email account without prior notification. I have no second email adress registered, and also no access to my old email adress.

How can I change my primary email adress now?

I had to change my Google account and therefore my Gmail password due to a reported security breach. I've successfully changed my password for Gmail on my iPhone and iPad but I can't on T'Bird.

I expected that when I opened T'Bird, I'd get an error message saying my password was invalid and then prompting me to enter the new password for my Gmail account. That's the way it used to work and it worked well.

Instead, I get some sort of useless error message about STAT (??) and my credentials are invalid. I get no prompt to enter the now changed password. I get no info as to WHAT credentials aren't valid.

So I opened the Password Manager, found the Gmail line, entered Show Passwords and then edit password. I entered the new password, double checked it and closed out the Password Manager. I get the same useless message about STAT. The old password was *not* the Gmail password.

I opened the Password Manager to find the password is entered correctly. Why is this simple operation so miserably difficult? The old method worked perfectly every time now this one won't at all.

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

Kindly need your advise. Thank you.

Hello Why getting a black mask and purple screen. I did not set private and security is in lower case and cant access. I want the normal screen with history that I can delete myself. Not sure if this is new or update caused this to change.thxs joseph

I heard that the newest version of Firefox (which I have not upgraded to yet) has a feature that makes it easier to accidentally visit a website whose URL is on the clipboard. I googled to find out how to disable it, and the Featured Snippet said "go to about:config and change clipboard.autocopy to false." Sounded simple, so I did it, but subsequently found out that the article it quotes from is 10 years of age!

My first question, then, is: what does changing "clipboard.autocopy" to false do if it doesn't turn off the brand-new feature?

The second question is, how do I disable the new URL Paste Suggestion feature? Will setting "clipboard.autocopy" disable it? In particular, I want to make sure that the browser does not pre-load or pre-fetch the clipboard URL, and in fact, I wish to pop up a dialog box any time I do "paste and go." People often copy URLs from e-mails to research them before visiting them directly; jumping directly will increase the likelihood of visiting an imposter site.

Until yesterday everything was fine. I was able to complete recaptcha. But when I tried searching something today, I couldn't do it because of the recaptcha. It was stuck on infinite loading. Every website I visited the problem was there. I tried fixing it from the tips I found in the forum here but nothing seems to work. I was frustrated. Then I tried Brave browser and it was working. I deleted Thunderbird, than Installed latest version. Now in Thunderbird "Use Primary Password" is clicked so I can't reset primary P/W. Previous P/W doesn't work because there is no P/W there as far as I can see. Instructions I found: "Tools> Developer Tools> Error> etc. There is no "Error" button. I want to delete firefox logins info and to make sure passwords and logins are never stored. I go to passwords, open up menu, and the "remove all passwords" choice is greyed out. How can I get that choice it be valid and to impliment that operation?? And to never have these stored??

I simply want to use a password to open Firefox. I don't want to set up Firefox sync. How can I set up a simple password as permission to open Firefox without accessing sync?

I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

When I open Firefox and want to go to Private. I go to the three lines at the top right of the Firefox page. I go down to Private. Then after selecting it, YET ANOTHER REGULAR FIREFOX PAGE OPENS. I NEVER had this problem until the start of 2024.

Please help as I used to have FIREFOX PRIVATE as my go to browser. Now, I use others and they do not work with some pages.

Hi, like other users on this help service, I recently lost the ability to send smtp gmails on one specific gmail account, but receiving emails was OK. Every attempt to send brought a "send failed - enter new password" dialog box. I looked at a great number of "solutions" before I found one which almost worked, but I have modified/clarified it and post it here for others to try. First off, look at passwords in Settings, and check that you have an 0Auth2 password - very long and not anything you chose. Then go to Server settings, scroll down the left hand pane past all the accounts listed until you find "Outgoing Server (SMTP) and click on it. This lists your outgoing SMTP accounts. Highlight the one for the account which is not sending and click on "Edit" Change the authentication method to 0Auth2. OK your way back. Now go back to your displayed passwords and copy the 0Auth2 password from the incoming password box and paste it in the SMTP password box for the problem account. Now close TB and restart. When I did all this, it began to send emails again. Hope it helps someone else.

When logging into an account there are multiple usernames (incorrect or older.) I would like to remove or delete them, but keep the current passwords.

Is that possible without deleting the account?

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff

The story is when I accidentally clicked on a sick video, YouTube start to recommend me similar sick videos.

So my question is how does YouTube get my identity?

I'm not logged in. my profile is actually a snapshot, so when I restart Firefox, it go back to the snapshot. I even restarted my ISP router to get a new IP address. This did not work.

Only when I create a new profile with "firefox -P" does YouTube start to see me as a new person.

So how does YouTube identify my Firefox profile? I don't think it's in the https request headers. Weird.
