How do I return ctrl+c to just copying the selected text?

I have checked the extension shortcuts and not found anything there. I have also searched extensively for solutions, before making this post.

I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

On my Windows-11 Laptop, the Vertical-Scroll-Bars in Firefox are too narrow for me to use comfortably. I am struggling with the Touch-Pad, Mouse Pointers, causing the frequently needed act of Scrolling to become a dreaded ordeal? If someone would provide clear and concise instruction on how to make the Vertical-Scroll-Bars the Classic Width of old, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! lg

You're asking me to go to the menu and choose: syncronice and save! Well there ain't no 'sync and save' point in my menu! Not even 'syncronice'! I need correct direction in order to 'sync' my PC and my phone! Please help! Thank you and have a nice day!

updated to Version 124.0.1 (64-bit), now adblocker ultimate blocking website ( are you human? not a robot requests). There's no button to confirm.

I can get to log in screen ( Sams' club) but it goes right back to the are you human screen?, 

I can access the website if turn off Adblocker Ultimate. Adblocker appears up to date. When I disable Adblocker there is still a request, but this time a button below to press and hold which takes me to login screen. I can successfully login then. Reporting the issue which began within 5 min of the last Firefox update. I updated 3/23/2024

This one has been driving me a bit batty as of late. I tend to use lots of extensions/add-ons and for most of them, I want the icons to show on the tool bar - that is, the part to the right of the URL/search bar. It used to be that you could adjust the size of your URL/search bar to make it smaller so that more add-on icons could be displayed - but as of recently, that is no longer possible (at least from what I can gather). Right now, I only have 10 add-on icons showing to the right of my URL bar and I have no clue how to access the other add-ons/extensions that I would like to use.

If I can recall correctly, at one time there was a way to show the additional extension/add-on icons in something called an overflow bar - but I can no longer find that, and half of the add-ons I want to access, I cannot do it because they are no longer shown to the right of the URL bar (except for the 10 that are there now).

So my questions are:

How can I resize the URL/Search bar to make it smaller width-wise, so that perhaps, more add-on icons will show to the right - and/or how can I access the rest of my add-ons if they are hidden in some kind of overflow bar?

I have included a screen shot on my current view, showing the add-on icons (some of them) that show to the right of the URL bar - but I have at least 10 others that I cannot find anywhere and would like them to show also.

My Firefox Browser on (Windows 11) updated on 23rd March 2024. Now my History and Bookmarks have been deleted (but not cookies for some reason). yes, it is my correct profile as I checked the dates and also double checked it against a backup I made 2 weeks ago.

Have included an image of my 'more troubleshooting information' details - I'm sure this is supposed to have more data on the page?

If there is no way to recover my hisotry and bookmarks, I see there in my profile folder is a 'bookmarksbackup' folder which contains .jsonlz4 files, one of which was saved on the 21st March 2024. I know book marks are .json files, can anyone tell me how to turn a .jsonlz4 file to a .json?

[Oh, I pressed to add here my 'troubleshooting information' as directed by this forum page and it said it couldn't automatically do it, and when I pressed 'manual', it opened that over this page and so when I pressed 'back' it had naturally deleted this post so I've had to retype everything from memory, thanks so much Mozilla for that. For the past few days when I have tried to log into a few websites which use TLS/SSL I have gotten PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR. Please see the attached screenshot for more details. This issue was observed ever since I updated to Firefox version 124.x. Prior to that the websites were working fine.

When I try to access the same websites and try to log into them using Microsoft Edge, I do not face a similar issue. They work fine.

I have cleared the browser cache, restarted firefox, and then tried. Still faced the same issue. I have cleared the DNS cache of Firefox browser (about:networking#dns) and then tried. Still faced the same issue. I have opened Firefox in Safe mode (Menu > Help > Troubleshooting mode) and still faced the same issue.

Can someone please help me in fixing the issue? I would like to refrain from using MS Edge or chrome browser.

Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode => Enabled Firefox => Maximised When cursor is moved to outer edge of screen, taskbar should unhide (Expected behaviour) but in this case it remain hidden (Reality). Firefox along with all other spinoffs give same result. Chromium based browser works perfect, and taskbar automatically unhide itself.

As OLED screen have became common as monitor, Taskbar auto-hide is must. If this issue cann't be fixed I may have to change my primary browser which I used for almost 15 years.

Kindly, look into it. If Chromium can do it, why not Firefox.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? Every time I would try to log in it would always redirect me to a website that contain only the words "Expected redirect cookie to exist"

It's really annoying because it only happens on Firefox. For some context I just re-installed Windows 11 and I heard from another post that re-installing Windows 11 will help but I do not want to go through the whole process again.

I have already tried:

• Turning off DNS over HTTPS
• Turning Off Proxy
• Clearing Cache and Cookies
• Reinstalling Firefox

After updating my openSUSE Firefox package from version 122 to 123 every frame inside each window started to have weird grey overlay of scrollable area. I failed to find any description of such a thing happening, let alone how to get rid of it. I tried removing build-in distro-default preferences and had complete audit of all my custom preferences in about:config but none changed that behavior. I even updated to 124b4 but this also haven't changed anything. Naturally, nuking entire profile is not an option, I might as well replace the whole browser. So, how do I get rid of this thing?

Hello. I just wonder why firefox connects to bookmarks url's right after you open firefox? Opening page is always set to:about:blank. I discovered this when I want to know some netwrok traffic from my laptop and I wanted to know which software causes that traffic. And then I noticed that only open firefox it takes connection to bookmarks url even it does not open any web pages - because the opening page is about:blank

why do my add-ons keep getting disabled?

ff keeps disabling add-ons that i have used for years and even keep a v. 5 to use the older add-ons and use the latest ff developer to use w/ more modern websites. ff even disables add-ons that worked perfectly well in ff developer and does not even give me the opportunity to re-enable them like i could before.

is there any way to force my old version to let ME decide what i want disabled/enabled?
